  1. I wouldn't doubt if the advantages for him would pop into his mind. Happens to me when someone I know dies. It feels terrible, but it happens. Doesn't make him bad, just human. And blessed by the gods of timing. The electoral college in most states works by how the people vote - thus, that area's representative gives the same vote. So, even though not all states do that, I know Texas, California, New York, and Florida do. They are the four states with the highest population. If every single person voted for Obama in those states...He'd probably win.
  2. Because you're white?! Hehe, on the subject of racism, my teacher told us today that the word "Eskimo" is worse than the word "[racist term]" (Well, n-word). I lol'd. Because I'm about a quarter Comanche (or Sioux?) and a quarter Inuit.
  3. Just poking fun at the whole idea of racism - how it is, in itself, racist.
  4. Of course Marxism would work if it was spread across the globe - and if people could actually make it work. It would be utopian, but human fallacies as well as bad timing made it a theoretical awesome, but a practical failure. Yeah, Russia's been in some pretty crazy [cabbage]. It industrialized itself in under 50 years, right? But at a massive cost of life. Cuba is probably the best-working true Marxist nation thus far. Its size and leaders' intellect (as well as terrible leaders before, and the rebels being most certainly people-people) help it a lot, though. Still, bad timing (as you said, one of few Marxist nations in a capitalistic world), among other reasons, have made Communism in practice a failure. Also, Cuban life expectancy is a ridiculous thing to bring up in this scenario - something you certainly know. The likelihood of living for another couple of years hasn't exactly stopped people from fleeing the nation however they could. It isn't necessarily arrogance when it's true. We both disagree with each other, which make our claims seem arrogant to the other, but alas, I'm sure it seems fine in our eyes. We could debate the theoretical greatness of certain economics forever. It only matters in practice. I, for one, think it would be fantastic if all currency were little golden statues of me. But that wouldn't work particularly well.
  5. That's the most serious answer anyone can really give you. You either have to pick one or tell them you're gay. Or fake your death. I say choose to take back the first one. Second sounds crazy.
  6. I wonder what blindly following something is. You know, when you believe it's the only thing that could be right and everything else must be wrong. And even if it isn't right yet, it will be.
  7. That's not even cynical. That's manic-depressive.
  8. I've never understood why people say this lol. I know, the Soviet Union worked great. Oh... East Germany, for sure. No... China? Uh-uh. North Korea? We don't know... Cuba? I'll go look for one of the folks on floating goats.
  9. Jesus. Mohammed. Abraham. Jesus' executioners (can I count this as one? :( ). Buddha. See what's goin' on.
  10. If it's as close as the polls have been, we might not know until Wednesday or even Thursday. But we can probably know around 9 PM Tuesday, all the same. I'm pretty sure Obama'll win. Not like it matters. People act like his being elected is some Godsend, which makes me laugh. A black man being elected isn't really a big deal. And if you say it is a big deal since he's black, that's racist. Ahhhhh the twenty-sided die that is racism.
  11. He did say, on Friday I think, that he didn't think she'd make it 'til the election.
  12. I have a feeling you don't know what evil you have cast upon this thread.
  13. Blehg, if you're going to throw cheap shots at Creationism, learn what it is. Anyways. I don't really know my belief on ghosts.
  14. Ahh, Schrödinger's cat. Quantum physics are indeed some crazy [cabbage].
  15. Uhh. Yeah, people do. How could you be offended by an image if you don't know what it looks like.
  16. Yeah, McCain's is just spelled out because it actually scores him points in his party. Obama's is hidden behind words. They're both pulling out, but slowly enough that they can send troops back if Iraq destabilizes.
  17. Heh, did you guys have a scouter that told you how many girls were dressed like angels?
  18. Yes, that was a problem in the Soviet Union. The government had the best, the rest stood in line for cold potatoes. I don't know enough about politics to go into a debate, though.
  19. That isn't wanting a religion for religious reasons.
  20. Why do you support NFL teams that you aren't a part of? Why do you want to visit places you've never been?
  21. The Last Stand is a series (well, a duo) of games that revolve around fighting off zombies that attack only at night. They become more and more powerful and in more and more numbers. During the day, you look for survivors and weapons. In the second game, you are trying to reach Union City to escape the zombies within forty days. I like these games. The second one is hard. I like the new traps. The UMP-45 is my favorite gun. Boom.
  22. I like this (girl? guy?). It is unanswerable, so I must leave it at that. Although I'm usually a first to stand up and show my ignorance, I want to sit at the sidelines here.
