If a 90+ prayer update is released that is as useful as the herblore update was, dragon bones will for sure hit 5K each. I'd say about a 5.75K max before enough d bone hunters go out there and the demand subsides. Abyssal brings up a good point and for that point alone I don't think they will rise anything like the herblore supplies did/are.

The go home phrase means: leave and go somewhere where you are wanted/needed because either no one likes you 'here' or you are just a bad person (i.e troll).

You could have easily gotten a yellow or green for an easter+cash. But congratulations nonetheless. Nah man I've been sitting in the rare market for weeks. Green is 2 easters for sure and yellow is 1 easter + risings or mintcakes, which I didn't feel like getting. Besides my favorite colors are purple and green so I didn't really want yellow :razz: I can assure you, you can go out and buy a green or yellow for a easter+cash right now.

Divine has dropped significantly street wise. It's now down to white+green and that's an offer divine sellers are asking for. The Elysian has dropped below a white+cash now and is roughly worth 2 red partyhats or pump+easter. Masks and santas are doing really well right now and some people are selling their purples for a combination of them. Spectrals and Arcanes are now dropping. Everything else is basically the same besides for the lower hats jumping up 20-50M in street today.

contrary to that, if they reached a price where nobody can afford them and then dumped by a large clan, who would buy them? they're just like any other items. if there is no demand, then it crashes. demand is created by people who are willing and can afford to buy the items. (/economics nerd) Relatively speaking, If the supply is incredibly low, then the demand does not have to be high in order for them to rise. True, but in order for an item to rise the demand must be greater then the supply. So, it doesn't have to be high relative to other items' demand, it just has to be high relative to the supply. Can someone give a status update on the street prices of all rares? purple seems to be picking up slightly. around 280M yellow: 400M (1 easter) green: 400M (1 easter) red: 500M (1.5-2 easters) white: 2 pumpkins + easter blue: 5-6 pumpkins half wine: 1.5B disk: 400-500M easter: 200M pumpkin: 500M From what I read on 1 thread 1 pump+1 egg=1 red and 1 white. Don't know how accurate it is though. I laughed out loud when I read that offer. It was such a bad lie really. The offers I posted yesterday still accurate and you should really avoid giving street prices for rares as they will turn out to be wrong. For example, green and yellow are not 400M nor are they the same street price wise. Funny how disks have become more popular than pumpkins and yet still one easter under them. As abyssal said, purples did rebound from near crashing, but can be easily bought for rising items.

The main reason the prices rise and fall is that they are being continuously bought out and dumped by merchants. Now the merchants do always push them up during h'ween, but they also buy them out and dump regularly throughout the year. They'll hit 25M again from a good buyout, but they most likely won't stay that high.

Santas are also going up... Well it seems like as the days go on partyhats keep sinking in street price. Purple-<egg Yellow-Egg Green-Egg Red-3 Eggs or a disk White-2 pumps+disk/Elysian+egg Blue-5 Pumps+2 disk+3 easter/2 whites+2 red(maybe) The lower three partyhats have been almost wrecked, while red has taken a big hit, with white and blue basically the same as before. Watch for the lower hats to crash soon.

I'm not going to quote because it will make the page longer. I've owned an Elysian and Divine and used them enough to know about them. They really aren't worth 400M because there isn't anywhere besides armadyl gwd where it the effect really is needed to stay longer. When I say something is not worth such and such price, I mean that it's not worth spending the GP on it if you are planning on spending the majority of your bank on that item. When I say "idiots" I was reffering to the blind merchants, who buy and sell without anything about what they are getting into. They jump on the bandwagon so to speak. These blind merchants tend to dump early and buy late (if they can even get the item). They will sell on the first word of dump and only lose profits in the end.

It gets easier to scare people everyday they rise. However, the people involved with 200M+ items are not usually idiots and they will sell off the majority of the partyhat stock whenever they feel they have reached their peek. The idiots with partyhats will sell them off once the word crash starts to circulate, the merchants will pick those up and rise them for a bit more, then the merchants will dump on the people with offers to keep phats and the idiots trying to get their phats again. In the end the smarter people win.

Depends how you define "crash" -- seems to me that it's a lot easier to buy partyhats on the street today than it was last week. Plus I saw multiple partyhats move up simultaneously on GE today, which suggests to me that more people are selling them for cash. It can't really be called a crash. Partyhats becoming easier to buy is a product of the degradation of their bought out state. I am at the point where I am leaning towards selling my red before the crash, like I did with my 3rd age. I don't see the purple lasting longer than Thanksgiving break. The yellow and green remain very low, but it's not nearly as bad as the purple is doing.

Elemental workshop III best fits the twitter description, but since they haven't mentioned it and have been babbling on about FTPIII it'll probably be it.

Carl brought up a good point...people who used to have to fish, or woodcut, or mine for money now can easily just got 76k for it. Although that isn't the issue behind why they are unbuyable, it certainly is a major one. Speculation for the new update, the shop changes, less people playing due to school, and 76king, all play a major role in why they are hard to buy. As Dan said it's a cycle, but it usually isn't like this. Either wait or go fishing is all I can say. Investing 200M in unicorns, brews, sharks, and bunyips is just so much easier though...

Well this is a follow up to my previous post that I didn't feel like posting that day because it was late. After I got 20M att,str, and def xp I got 26M hp xp and a dark beast task. Well.... Dark bow #12 at the beginning: Then towards the end....#13: Pc'd the dbows and rune ore :) : Checked my Adventure Log (dumb mith drags ruining the 20M str xp once :( )

It won't really effect the lower rares too much. It depends on the new item Jagex is release on whether or not they will have to pick up partyhats again, go back to 3rd age, go back to spectrals and arcanes, or whether they just stay with edibles and disk. Partyhats really can't go too much higher now because of the public will not want them at all. When there is no public demand the item just dies. Elysian and divine still remain strong in the market. I don't seem them crashing for quite a bit actually just because they are actually useful, now useful for 400M+ is another question.

I think at least the lower three crashing right after the system update on Monday or Tuesday when they add the new monsters and stuff. If Jagex charges players to enter the dungeon or requires something to drain GP to access it I see even reds crashing.

Spectrals are bought out enough to be traded for easters+cash. Arcanes are a lesser buy out, but you can still trade them for easter+junk+cash if your lucky. EDIT: They were being traded for easter+cash around 6 hours ago, it seems like they have dropped a bit and now it's tough to do so.

Pumpkins are being pushed really hard by merchants right now. It seems like a major scheme by the big merchants to try and squeeze the life out of them before the partyhat crash. I'd avoid dealing with any edibles besides half wines because I see a lot of people with them getting burned. The easters are being traded off for spectrals or arcanes right now. Basically, rares are being traded off and sold for their max to other unsuspecting merchants.
