  2. -- How much have you spent on supplies? 0 -- Where do you plan on training? CW will be very full. Barbarian course-Advanced -- How will you arrange your bank? Um..FULL like always >.> -- Have you bought everything you need? Well I didn't buy anything...so ya! -- Which day will you start training? Friday night and Saturday evening -- How will you avoid crowds? Foreign worlds most likely.
  3. The fact that it will take 58% of a year to complete is what makes the majority of people want some sort of reward in between or have the rocks grow exponentially because the museum staff should be learning more from the statue each time and therefore learning how to make replicas better; well....that's what I think is logic ;). Sadly, I'll be getting the rocks everytime just because I want to know what the reward at the end is. Hopefully, it's something ground breaking.
  4. Your perception of the "Golden Days" in just what the past was, when you were low leveled and everything was an adventure. However, 2004 to 2006 was when RuneScape was in its prime. It had everything going for it, a rising gaming population, updates weekly, and holiday events that would rock your socks off. Then again, it was full of trimming scams, tag team scams, and macros. Like Beloved said, your mind will remember the good times and if you seemed to have a lot more fun when you started, then those are your golden days.
  5. The question isn't whether or not it's against the rules. It's whether or not the macro detection system will pick it up and confess it as macroing and therefore ban you when their two week period comes around. In my opinion, the person doing 28 clicks in under a second will automatically be banned due to macroing and not given much chance at an appeal because of the shear fact that Jagex doesn't tend to believe people over their system. Heck they might even consider the mouse you use macroing in the first place and absolutely deny you.
  6. There needs to be more communication between the editors and authors, apparently. "Human error" is a poor excuse. Plenty of editors are able to put out newspapers, books, articles, etc, etc, without any mistakes whatsoever because they take the time to make damn sure that there are no mistakes. Here's a nearly foolproof way to churn out great articles: 1) Author writes article. 2) Author proofreads article multiple times. 3) Author sends article to editing team. 4) Two or three editors do their thing. 5) Editors send article back to author for revision. 6) Author revises, makes corrections, and sends the article back. 7) An editor looks at the final draft and makes corrections. 8) Article is posted. 9) ???? 10) Morningrise333 isn't angry. As explained by N0M_AN0R and Master_Smither, the breakdown occurred when N0M sent the edited article back to Master_Smither for revision, but that would not have happened if an editor had looked at the article before it was supposed to go up on the main site. In conclusion, the problem is a lack of protocol and communication between editor and author. It's nice that you guys and gals are attempting to stick up for each other, but the problem isn't an individual one, so there's no need to get defensive about it. My advice to Mirrorforced would be to lay down some guidelines that would ensure perfect or near-perfect articles every Sunday. If the problem is a lack of helping hands, I'm more than willing to lend mine. Human misunderstanding was the cause of the majority of the grammar mistakes in this article. It's a lot harder to get people, who's #1 priority isn't the Times, to find the free time to have multiple editors per article. As Racheya said, we are not professionals, we do this out of the enjoyment of writing, and the only pay we get is the satisfaction of a finished/edited work. Your process of editing is nice, in an ideal world that is. It's not a lack of staff we suffer from, but a lack of activity by our staff, who are mainly still in school, and therefore have work to complete before logging on. If you're looking to become a potential member of the staff, then I suggest you make the edits and send them in. You are then showing that you are a sincere person, who is out to help Tip.it instead of discussing grammatical errors on a Topic about the content of the articles itself. If our articles are not up to your high standards and you cannot accept that no one is perfect, especially on a voluntary 'project', you don't have to read them ;).
  7. Thanks for all the responses from everyone. One comment to make, look at the article through the title. Although yes it is a complaint over autotypers in a way, it is more of a complaint about Jagex policy and that, although being strict towards macros, fail to punish the simplest and yet most used macro in RuneScape. Ahh and there was a mistake on my part partially. I took my article and looked at every bolded edit and changed it on my copy and therefore missed the edits that weren't in bold. I've always done it that way and didn't know you didn't bold every edit. Again as I said before, humans make mistakes. The way your first sentence was worded confused me. At first, I thought you meant my article and then I read the rest of your post and I assuming you mean Jagex policy towards autotypers are garbage, correct?
  8. Thanks for the feedback from everyone... Yes they are annoying, but the greater shock and annoyance is that Jagex is virtually powerless against upholding one of their major rules. And that is the key issue we want to discuss here. I can assure you that it was edited before being posted. The editor is only human and sometimes things can slip by them. If you have some suggested edits mirror or myself will gladly take them from you. I think this sentence should be "Not only has a certain type of macros grown exponentially [sic] the Grand Exchange, they have also become near undetectable and unbannable." </end grammar nazi> I support the 2nd article. I am a paying member and the advert irks me. Thanks for catching that, not sure how I missed that.
  9. Does this work? Holy cow, that is awesome  . Did you make this? If so, could I use it for the article? I plan on submitting it to the times, if they let me. And if you made it, I would credit you of course  Edit: After looking more closely, I realized that this was from another site, lol. I guess I would just have to use it as a reference to make my own, huh? I'd go ahead and use it considering it isn't private information and, is in fact, the opposite. It was posted on the internet with the knowledge that everyone can see it. As long as you thank Truthscape for making the map at the end of beginning of your article I'm sure you'll be fine. Ok, I will do that. Or just note him himself  . Also, you are a member of the Times, right? How would I go about submitting my article when done? It will be done in a week or so ;) . Send it to any active Times member you see on the boards and they'll post it in our guest articles area for review and possible usage as an article. I'd go ahead and credit Truthscape because you don't know for sure if Qeltar made it or not.

  11. My luck is ok I guess.....I just post the drops and don't talk about my numerous dry streaks often :( . I ended up selling the ely though, but it was fun to have. Thanks overall though <3: Ty nubbin <3: <3: Been awhile since I've had time to post anything, so here is a few things over the past week I've been doing ;) First off: 99 Herblaw! -18.5K Extreme Mage -2K Extreme Range -2K Overloads 91-99 Then I started to get to using my overloads by duo crashing bandos with a friend and special recover pots. It's fun that's for sure :P

  13. It happens all of the time, Robotkill. There's a video on YouTube where a Jagex Moderator had contacted a player after muting them to say they must ring the number given, (The Mod supplied him with the phone number to a local police station), and if he didn't ring them to say he was okay and let them speak to his parents he'd be forced to send them to his house. Suicide is very, very serious. People have taken their lives because of games, and this is no different. Joking about it is unacceptable. Better to be safe than sorry. Due to the laws in place protecting customer privacy on ISP's, I get the impression that they must have know this individuals town by his billing information. Even though suicide is very serious, the laws are in place to protect people from people faking to be a company and obtaining someones address, which can lead to something far worse, like a homicide. Sadly the laws are in place because of those people who abuse a privilege and people sometimes get hurt because of it. What is even sadder is that, now-adays, the saying is "Better sorry than sued", which leads to a lot of harm because of people afraid to take risks.
  14. 1/10 because you're friends with Runescapew44. Nah 8/10 noob because you lose almost every bit of it in pvp
  15. @Darkld Purple is the only partyhat you'd be able to get for pure rare risings right now and if even that. The higher partyhats don't sell for anything short of very good rising, i.e Staffs of Light (and a few of them). The Grand Exchange updates every 12-36 hours and while some people sit at the GE all day and watch price screens to change to get the best sniping, others have page monitors which watch the Grand Exchange beta page and send an alter once the page has changed, aka the prices have been updated. It is then that they commence to spam offers for whatever item they want and they check if the price of their items has updated. If it didn't, they have no chance because of the earlier offers already in, if they did, they now have a chance to get whatever item it is because they got an offer in early meaning they will be earlier in the line of offers. The GE works as first come first serve if it's for the same price, by the way.
  16. @Ts's article: I just cannot agree that Castle Wars needs an update. The only update it needed was the changing of IP address priority to random instead of the closest to 0 as they did a few months back. The reward was ment to be an achievement and not something you can get without skill and dedication. Yes the one game per 25 minutes in annoying, but there are free spaces that occur, especially in themed worlds. The rewards were ment to be an achievement and I believe that they may be a bit over priced, but like partyhats, they are for show and usually nothing productive comes out of them :P. Combat, to the casual CW player, seems to be a major factor in who wins the game; however, it's not. Someone with the right skills, whether it be scoring or defending, can out play someone 30 combat levels over them easily. I've seen it happen, it's been done to me, and I've done it years ago. The only problem I see with Castle Wars is that it has gone from a game for the everyday player to a game for elites. If you play in the themed worlds, there is no chance that you can score with the best mage defence and even brews. With the introduction of themed worlds, the regular worlds have been decimated of their once sparsely populated groups of players. I did however like your article even though I didn't agree with parts of it ;). Forsaken's article was nice too :P
  17. You can get at least 2 divines for a Blue Partyhat. Meaning trading it for anything less than 2 divines is an absolute rip off to you and the community because you'll be giving some merchant a great deal. If you're going to trade off a Blue Partyhat get at least 4 pumpkins for it and then trade 1 pumpkin for some lower edibles and then trade 1 of your three remaining pumpkins with a few lower edibles for the divine and keep the other two. DO NOT, AND I REPEAT, DO NOT SELL THAT BLUE FOR A DIVINE ALONE!
  18. Thanks man <3:; been awhile since we chatted :o So I logged on today and couldn't decide what to do. My noob friends decided to force me to ZGWD and then I forced my friend with a Divine to tank ZGWD. It was going pretty good and got a lot better when we got this: Twss my first cs Zamorak hilt (had missed an LS one ages ago). So after that the trip winds down and we decide to go to barbarian assault for awhile. Went through three whole waves and charged my horn up for skilling to about half. Saw this at the GE after BA was over: The reason I had stopped BA was because my nub friend (spuds <3:) was like "amg arma plz"...so the same team that went zam+him gear up and start to Armadyl. My lowest level friend there, 108, has to teleport about 30 kills in. We're going, and going, and going and it's 65 KC without a single drop, but we're still doing decent. Well BAM! First armadyl hilt; 5 chests, 3 skirts, and 10 helms before that. Finished the trip with about 85 KC and we had to tele because our unicorns died on us. Very good day and weekend. Two first at GWD, two hilts, 35M made today, and SOL yesterday. O ya.....and it's snowing!

  20. [/hide] So good  Nice epic story with the pics. Now I know you are a merchant, so you would have no troubles in selling the staff with your obtained junk. However, for someone such as myself, if I were to get the staff, how would I be able to sell it for it's street price without using junk? ( as I have none ). I thought of trying to sell for an egg with cash, but that wont leave me with enough junk to move the egg on. Any ideas would be appreciated. Well first off, I have no intentions of selling it or any further staffs for big amounts of GP. Personally, I am not one of those merchants who buys out items and then is stuck with the dumped item because I don't price manipulate. I rarely have any junk and when I do get high street value items I sell the extras to my close friends. As for you getting junk, I'm not sure what to suggest besides don't trade it for an egg unless you want to trade the egg for a partyhat or something of that sort. Personally if I were intending to sell it for cash I'd keep it and have fun with it and sell on the GE when I feel the price is right. As for junk collecting, I'm not an expert :x.
  21. You're right :P. Thanks man <3: lol maybe I just dislike those skills do I don't train them like I would a skill I enjoy. Gosh...it's been awhile since I updated my blog. Been extremely busy IRL and have played about 20 hours worth of RuneScape in the last 5 weeks. That combined with the fact monster hunting hasn't yielded much luck at all has caused me not to post until now. Got my 2nd fire cape, so that in case I died and lost it I'd have one still. After that Kuradel gave me 149 ice things and I went to do them with the 980 bloods I had even though I wouldn't finish the task with them. Well on the last kill that I ran out of runes on and had to finish with my master wand meleeing I get what I wanted! Three day weekend so watch this space for more ;)
  22. It's been a year since I last had gotten a fire cape and I assumed I was a bit rusty. Skimmed your guide and refreshed myself of my prayer switching skills and got my 2nd fire cape. It turned out to yield a staff of light too: Nice guide SirHemen ;)
  23. To start off today I decided to get my 2nd fire cape so I didn't have to risk the one I got a year+ ago. Done with that after dcing the first time. Kuradel was nice to me and gave me 149 Ice worms after my dark beast task the other day so I commenced to go there. Bloods, of course, would not buy fast enough so I used the 980 I had in my bank and went to the worms. Well I took a break and ate and decided to finish up my runes before I logged off for the day. Run out of runes a few HP before it died so I killed it with my master wand and BAM! It's been a good 3 hours :D
  24. 1k+ here. It will happen to you too, eventually. What setup do both of you use? I go in full Armadyl, Ranger Boots, etc using Runite Bolts with a Tortoise of both Rocktail and Saradomin Brews. My melee weapon is BGS which works fantastic after spec. :). 750 since here.... You're setup semms a bit like overkill. I use tassets, nezzy, sw cape, blk d hide top, dfs, sgs, c bow with ruby e and broad bolts. My inv is 2 extreme sets (minus mage pot), with 2 brew( just incase), 1 restore, 2 unicorn pouchs (1 summoned), dl, lantern, tabs, one space is bolts, and the rest is prayer pots. I usually end up teleing because I run out of unicorns and have less than a full p pot left.
