  1. With 6296 p mods as of March and more being added week, I hope this isn't the standard... He was completely serious... Unless he totally missed the warning before alching them AND clicked yes to is, he couldn't have been serious.
  2. I don't get it He's saying they NEED more votes for anything to happen. Watch this vote end with Jagex saying they didn't get enough votes to reflect on the general view of RuneScape on it's return and not bring it back.
  3. Overloads and extremes worked fine in PvP; but, guess what? The whiners overwhelmed the forums and spammed relentlessly causing Jagex to think that EVERYONE wanted them gone. It happened with free trade removal and wild removal. People spammed and Jagex thought everyone wanted them back. Right now, 641,153 people have voted, 577037 people have said yes. That's maybe half of the current number of members Jagex has. When it comes down to it, spamming never shows the general consensus of the population. Why haven't millions of people voted? Because THEY DON'T CARE...You can't say more than 650K different players haven't been on over this Holiday season/break. On a related note...
  4. I laughed....watch them say "Hey not enough votes, you had your chance, GF IT STAYS!"
  5. Mage boxing was always very lucrative if you knew what you were doing. Maybe make something to do with the cr? The DPS is insane.
  6. :wall: Just noticed >_> Anyway, yeah. Wonder if there will be three new bosses, all using the combat style according to the armor they drop. Or maybe three bosses that require one combat style. One boss where you have to use range, one where you have to use melee and one where you have to use magic. Hopefully something like that :) Or maybe it's just as simple as the the guy/girl behind the frozen door in the god wars dungeon. I'd like to see a challenge with this update. Maybe all three bosses in one room, where you actually have to bring some team mated to combat them. Whatever it is, I hope this is what they have been working with on the update servers.
  7. Three new bosses or one new boss is the question :P? Pretty excited about the melee and mage armour; they actually look good. Can't say the same for the range armour. I do agree, they are just making everything grey. I liked the old diary armour better than the elite tbh. @Krampell: It's for sure a chaotic rapier.
  8. [spoiler=Quote chain] I hope they'll make Coinshare-splits based on the highest bid in the GE at that specific time. for example, player A has an offer for a set of D claws for 30m, then group B with 3 players will get splits of 30/3 = 10m each when killing a demon that carries a set of claws. However, if player A is offering 33m, then the same group would receive splits of 33/3 = 11m instead. Would be a doable solution, IMO. *sells claws for 30m in ge* *is on four hour buying/selling limit* *puts in offer for buying claws at 200M* Gl all people who CS claws. Too easily manipulated. Are you being dense on purpose or do you just have no problem solving ability? Obviously it would have to be a trade that can actually complete... From the information we have available, we don't know it will have to be within reason. Free trade was just like that sometimes; people would attempt to sell their items for insanely high amounts for many reasons. Jagex has a lot of things to point out and I was only pointing out a major flaw in that plan. I think Jagex is on top of it though. If you've notice the server lag you know that isn't normal unless Jagex is live updating in their update servers ;). On a different note... Saw this when looking through some old pictures. The first time phats rose since the GE was released. Look at those prices  \:D/

  10. Pumpkin is rarer I thought.. Why on earth would pumpkin be rarer? Pumpkin was released as exactly what it was- a once ever drop of a cool little Halloween treat. It was clearly a cool item for pack rats to hang on to if they were into that sort of thing, an obvious collector's item. Disk was a pointless, stupid item nobody had any reason to ever stock up on besides random collecting, and it was taken out of the game suddenly. Like half wine, there was nothing remarkable or interesting about it until suddenly you just couldn't get them anymore. I firmly believe pumpkin is only more valuable because it's more manipulated, and disks will some day overtake them. Pumpkins were near the best healing foods at the time of their release and were used like crazy actually. A lot of people had a disk, but many quit with them. I'd have to say, as far as tradeable discontinued items go, pumpkins, half wines, and crackers are the three rarest. Pumpkin being because it's the oldest RS rare. However, disks are for sure up there with pumpkins. Easter eggs on the other hand are no where near those four. The Krimandy picture: That has been his goal since he started merchanting. It has taken him years to get up to, number one, that amount of wealth, and number two, obtain that many pumpkins. He was only aided by their street value crash recently and has obtained near 100 of them in the past week or so. @Bedman: I highly doubt Jagex will allow overloads, or extremes for that matter, back in PvP. I think they'll remain were they are, considering they are a nice rare herb.
  11. Don't hate, I skipped over his post it seems :x Best of luck with that. Not a soul is buying them on the GE right now, unless you get it in very quickly after an update.
  12. Average price of items sold/bought over the past week would be one way. If divine and ely prices go up to match their street prices, could this mean that coinsharing corp could be a lucrative alternative to lootsharing corp? Sorry for not editting my above post, but I'm too lazy right now. You guys will be ok ^.^. This brings up something I didn't think of that I will address in a second. Currently, elysian is under market value (450M-that's over 100M under mind you). Right now, if you plan on lsing corp for selling the shield only, CS would be the way to go. However, most people at corp only are at corp for the purpose of obtaining the shield for personal use and not monetary value. With coinshare (assuming they do NOT edit GE prices manually), somethings might be more profitable to coinshare because of their GE value being higher than their free trade value. This could be very useful to monster hunters who want to make a very good turn over, while the picking is good.
  13. There is nothing else that can hold large amounts of money right now. Torva will be hot, but many merchants have hundreds of millions already to put into new items. The thing is, partyhats have always and will always be cash holders. Right now it's a panic sell of JUNK not partyhats. But, how are you going to sell the junk? Well silly! With partyhats of course. When everyone starts trying to get rid of their junk what happens? Someone drops the price to get it sold, then others follow, causing a drop in street price. Junk is going to be useless is free trade is brought back. It seems like, right now, the white partyhat is doing the best. Blue is down to white+purp for blue+junk. Half wine tanked to red+pump for wine+junk and many other partyhats fell hard and are selling for straight cash in some cases. If you're a major merchant who has junk from trades or, sadly, price manipulation, you NEED to get rid of it ASAP. You have many rare items and that's how you can not end up losing billions. From my experience with the market, partyhats will rebound after free trade is released or even sooner. Expect to pay upwards of 1B for some of the hats though ;).
  14. They never said they would remove the market price. Only minimum und maximum price will be removed. The grand exchange should still function normally with daily market price updates. "The Grand Exchange would remain, but with the lower and upper price limits removed" All Jagex will have to do is: move coin share to use market value instead of minimum value, like it does now. I'd guess GE would have no limits, so you'd be able to buy/sell someone for any price. However, that seems crazy.
  15. Maybe send this tip to an editorial staff member as a "Did you know..." and it could appear at the end of a week's articles with your name attached to it  .Otherwise, this doesn't really belong here.
  16. Quick find code: 36-37-119-62065655 As xpx, he most likely got the junk from buying the pumpkins. However, he is/was a massive price manipulator, but nonetheless a nice guy.
  17. Holy [cabbage]. How many pumpkins are in the game? Thats literally 71 BILLION coins worth of pumpkins. 71 BILLION. Is....is that real? Most likely. Krimandy is, or at least was, a big price manipulator and rare merchant.
  18. Jagex changed the amount of phats needed to make a GE update, causing them to move more readily. Also, 3rd age was beginning to top out at that time. Truthfully, I think there has to be some sort of a catch with this free trade and wilderness return. However, if there isn't, I don't think 3rd age will rise too drastically because there is so much of it out in normal circulation now. People will still do clues and, heck, Jagex might even have a world or two with the wild that is free of PvP especially for clues, quests, and activities, instead of moving them all over the place. I don't think any calls can be made until we see what really is going to happen.
  19. Wut Knotch is alive <3?

  20. There is a massive difference from someone with 105 dungeoneering and someone with 81 (the poster). The poster is obviously not yet experienced enough(no offense) with dungeoneering and has not established a constant team of friends to dungeoneer with. So it is useless to give advice from the perspective of your level. Personally, I do not think that small f31+ are faster xp than doing small all floors; however, if it does take you over an hour for an f31+ with a low prestige, maybe you should consider trying out the mediums like squareroot2 said. Don't expect them to take you 10-12 minutes, however. Try to be more selective in your team members and have a someone that is a reliable and good keyer to play with you every dungeon you do; this will help a lot. Best of luck with dungeoneering and try to steer away from world 117, and maybe find yourself a decent 80+ dungeoneering clan to join, if you are serious about dungeoneering.
  21. As Lalala said, they are considered trophies to those who didn't buy them just because they were rising. It's like an untradeable event item: you wear it for the sole purpose of showing what you have accomplished. This applies to the majority of partyhat owners. However, the majority of partyhats are held among a select group of players, who hoard the item only to make profit. There always be people like this everywhere you go, but rarely will they make it impossible to achieve something. Remember all they want in money, and if you offer enough they'll gladly give you the hat they have no really attachment to. A broken system and a massive increase in the amount of gold per player has caused these hats to skyrocket. More and more people can afford their trophy now, and more and more people want what they've always wanted. Personally, I have always wanted a white. I bought it for 252.6M back when they were crashing junk. I was told I was stupid and it was a waste of money (heck I still hear that), but it was my money and I wanted that hat. Later in RuneScape, I wanted a red, so I worked my rear off for it. To my amazement, I managed to get another white. Instead of taking two reds for a white, I traded a friend who owned a red and made their dream come true. But I digress. There is no easy fix to this situation; however, partyhats are not impossible to buy, it just takes a lot more work than just making gold, which is very easy these days. A few weeks of corping could potentially land you a shield that can be traded for one of the three lower p hats and from there you can make your way up with some dedication. The system is broken, but it's not impossible to by-pass it. If you really want a partyhat you'll work for it no matter what it takes; it's as simple as that.
  22. Although I put it pretty bluntly, you are suggesting that new P-Mods not have the ability to post through chat filters. Which is not a bad idea. But for how long, and why bother? Instead of censoring all new P-Mods let the players report them for spamming. There is no reason to restrict access to such a privilege based on a few bad seeds. Hardly an assumption. You say that all new P-Mods should not have chat rights, looking past that, issues of who/how to restrict, time/reports necessary to receive those rights, and hundreds of hours wasted by JaGeX on adding new Mods to the game. I've played for a little over two years, 5 or 6 days a week, and I rarely see P-Mods spamming, even at the Exchange. And, as I said above, there is no reason to restrict new Mods based on the few and far between mistakes of some bad seeds. True. But comparing Articles written about the Dungeoneering Reward costs, new controversial training methods, etc, and the latest Times articles about P-Mod and general players breaking rules, there is a definite difference. Previous articles focused more on things that could not be changed, and many different viewpoints could be heard. The latest articles focus more on small groups of people that can't really be easily picked out or dealt with. The article is not about p mods breaking rules when they talk, it's about having to see whatever they say regardless of what it is. With more and more p mods, who are now a lot different than the old policing force, there is now more and more random chatting from p mods and sometimes some abuse of this privilege. It's not necessary to have such a potentially monumental privilege when you do not use it for it's intended purpose. Maybe even give the option to turn it on....? It's not about bad seeds, it's about the new "brand" of p mods having a completely different attitude and maturity than the older ones. Why bother? Because it's could be simple and benefit both groups. I know a few p mods who wish they could turn the option of showing through off. Again, it's not about bad seeds as you seem to have thought I was talking about. If you know the basics of the pmod system you'd know Jagex does not do most of the work with new p mods and tend to listen to "mentors" if there are any questions about a certain mod. It's obvious if a p mod will become a community based mod or a policing based mod so they could hand the privilege out accordingly or make it so you have to activate it to use it. It's just not necessary to us all the time, especially when the newer p mods are the talkative type, which can make it harder to trade, recruit, or talk to someone on Public: Friends. With the change in times you need to change some things when they become unneeded. The older p mods still rarely speak and when they do it has a purpose. The newer p mods speak freely, which is fine, but when it shows through the filters it can become a flood of words.
  23. That's not at all the case, actually. You assumed that articles are rants, when in fact they are addressing the community on a growing issue. I never once said they should be stripped of their privileges, I'm not sure where you got that. I see non-police work chat on a daily basis and the majority of it is ok, but when you get the pmods at dungeoneering, or at the GE advertising certain things and sometimes they show blatant abuse of their privilege to have the edge on advertising. You based your entire argument off of an assumption and obviously lack of play-time. If you wish to see rants, go to the rants forum and have an example of what real rants are. I appreciate your one post on the forums being about my article; it's flattering.
