  1. The only reason I actually got 99 was because I made a bet with my friend and lost. I enjoyed making oak doors and it cost me 32M from 80 with SC hammer (granted I have over 20K sc points). It was 485K xp/hr and wasn't actually that bad. It's a useless skill that only costs more if you decide to revamp your house and isn't really that afkable. I won't be surprised if RC gets passed up by construction because of the introduction of eggifies.
  2. Was really hoping for a nice tough fight, but I am satisfied with good content and possibility for good rewards. Really looking forward to this quest and hopefully it doesn't come out next month because I'll be gone <_< .
  3. Dang stole what I was going to say. They allow you to explain yourself in instances like jokes with friends (when they still muted for offensive language), or something they just couldnt understand. I think now adays, since appeals take longer than acouple hours, that they must at least have a human skin it. Back acouple years ago you could get away with writing anything the the automated system would randomly select if you were guilty or not. They also believed all their mutes and such were jutifiable back then.
  4. Stat-affecting loyalty rewards place too much emphasis on time, rather than work, put into the game. Think of how ridiculous it would be to have bunny ears give optimal strength bonus, or completionist capes only available to those with classic veteran access. I would NOT like to see any stat-affecting loyalty rewards, but I'm sure that will happen anyways. Pay us $5.95 now and we add the belt slot where you can hold 30 extra inventory spaces in your belt or wear a belt with +12 strength bonus! If you buy members with the membership card we will also give you a Katana (e), which has a special that heals and hits 25% extra. The special is mage based, as well. O ya and the Katana has the strength bonus of the chaotic maul. I'm getting crushed under this unrealistic slippery slope future update! Fixed.
  5. I know the items can be smuggled 100%. Whether they have the effect, idk. My friend doesn't have a hex or blood necklace to smuggle out to check. It's highly unlikely you'll be banned unless you go and PK with them. Remember, if you're not scamming or making other players mad, JaGex doesn't particularly care.
  6. Maybe this belongs more on the Runefest thread rather than a seperate thread. The thread looks like it needs a nice bump anyway :P.

  8. I'll take the bots because at least I can force log/kill those in my spare time.
  9. Truthfully, back in 2006 I don't think I would have thought I'd still be playing. However, after taking a year break due to school, I came back this summer, interested, and realized there is a lot of content still to be touched. The doomsayers who say it's on it's last legs, are just doomsayers. They will always be around. On the other hand, I do agree that if microtransactions are to become common, I will become frustrated with the company and leave. I'll continue to play as long as I have time and am interested. Will I be playing in 5 years? Most likely not at all.
  10. My mom buys cereal for the prize for my little sister. Also, I wanted cereal just for the toy when I was little. Obviously, I wouldn't buy cereal that I didn't like unless the prize was amazing (like a sword of something! ). The mentality of someone young is much different than you may think. Personally, I like how the katana looks. People say the stance is [fruity] and what not, but it's one of the better rs stances there is and has been. If I had just started RuneScape and was young, I would be drawn to the katana like flies on [cabbage]. There's plenty of gamestops under 30 miles away and I would heavily considering spending the extra two dollars for one month to get it. Speaking of old weapon stances...
  11. id do it if i had a hex Hexhunter vs. Nex...Good fight? Considering I can easily hit 600 on Necrolord in medicore gear...What would it do to a monster with an even higher magic attack/level and with better gear...Hmm. Solo Nex w/bug abuse anyone?
  12. You should be afraid of smuggled effects that you cannot see, rather than the ones you can easily avoid. You just dug up a one year old thread though o.o.
  13. damn that's smart. also, who just leveled up in necromancy? Shay_lfc4_RS just levelled actually. Useless fact: Runescape is actually correctly spelled as RuneScape.
  14. Pretty interesting how the peaks and valleys are less evident during the summer and christmas time. I guess it indicates a large amount players playing late in the evening, compared to most player having to log off for school. We're just a bunch of no lifers it seems :P.
  15. Sounds like it's relegated to Tzhaar fight pits, the player vs player arena, not the city as a whole. Sorry, you're still going to have to fight off bots. I wasn't saying that this update was instanced areas... I was basically saying this idea could expand to other areas... sorta like guild wars It'd be nice to have more instanced areas, but it would ruin the entire aspect of competition and rewards going to the best, strongest, or most clever person at the spot.
  16. Exactly why I bought a large amount when I first read and checked this out.
  17. You're right, because no one in the history of Runescape besides you has ever thought of a waiting list to get into worlds; this entire update is single-handedly a product of your mind. You're brilliance is truly beyond normal human comprehension, what can we do to thank you. =D> Just imagine that as a really slow clap.
  18. Instead of selling ~200gp under mid, they're selling over mid now.
  19. Seems pretty good. They also added Lobby In and Out to the displayfps menu. However, making another way to get into an instanced area only allow for a plethora of new bug abuse chances.
  20. I do agree that the sticky is obscure and that many threads are being locked because the sticky addresses the point of the thread. However, if fansites were to begin to endorse bots, that would be the end of the game itself. It would signify that bots have indeed become a major enough part of the game, that it is accepted by the majority of the community. In part, I'd love all the threads to be visible and whenever JaGex might look, be able to see how much the problem real is addressed, but that would just lead to pointless topics spamming the boards. Jagex must realize it's a major problem, but they're helpless. They cannot investigate and ban at a fast enough rate to surpass the influx of new bots. They used to ban macros every two weeks and that was sufficient. However, that is no where near anymore. The bots now out number real players at a lot of places in RuneScape and they seem to never end.
  21. Your cannoning was ruining the efficieny of my bots...How will I buy all my 99s now? It doesn't belong in rants entirely, but then again I'm not sure what there is to discuss. This could be expanded to the impact of bots on a lot of the community, but then it would have to be merged with the red dragonhide thread posted today, as well. I guess the moderators can figure this one out :P. On a different note, yes bots have extremely impacted nearly every tangible method for easy money making. They have even invaded realms of RuneScape that are not that good, but it's better than they would have done if they hadn't played. It's a big issue, JaGex is overwhelmed, and it will just grow bigger until JaGex does something new.
  22. Even now people admit to buying items and levels from gold farmers and are 100% serious. If someone admits to it, a report can be sent and the person can be flagged for investigation. JaGex has logs of nearly everything. Although I do agree that they're terrible at catching bug abusers and banning them accordingly. It takes a lot of public, major bugs for someone to get banned I'd assume. There wasn't supposed to be a point to it. The rules are extremely vague and I wrote the article to shed some light on them. If you feel the need to critize JaGex's rules, which have remained nearly untouched for all most a decade, more power to you.
