What they did at my school was say that abstaining from all sexual activity was the best way to prevent STD's and pregnancy. However, we know that many of you will choose not to be abstinent, in which case you should use protection such as condoms and birth control pills.

This I feel is the most difficult thing. Aside from playing, people have their 'rest' in a communal lounge. Conversations are usually quite open and involve most people that are in it. As for how to approach it, talk for as long as you can. If you two are playing together, talk while the match goes on if it's normal to do that. If you talk outside of a match, just talk until one of you has to go to play a match, or leave the club.
