They are easy to run from. Personally, I just listen for the click when sniping, and when I hear it I turn around and pull out my pistol (or attempt a hawt no-scope :P ) that way the only thing I have to worry about is getting hit by another sniper, and not someone running up behind me.

For perk 1, I use 3x flash (or stun, depends on personal preference) for most weapons. I'll use claymores on sniper rifles and for search and destroy I like C4. For guns like the G3 or any gun you're tempted to spray with, bandolier works well.

Have fun in f2p :P As for smithing training, steel platebodies are good but expensive. kn1gh7 wrote a great smithing guide here. the prices are probably outdated, but there are plenty of good methods in there.

Ok, I just reached second prestige about a week ago. I've fallen in love with the G3, I just can't figure out what to use for perk 3. Any ideas?

If they did that, I definitely think that MW2 would be better than Halo 3 in every way. That really is the one thing I don't like about MW1, it's either you play alone, hook up multiple 360's, or only one person plays while everyone else waits. Yeah, if my friends come over we just play offline split-screen, which is pretty fun, though. Im not familiar with the Halo 3 online setup, but how would they make it so you can manage multiple accounts online? Is that split-screen too? On Halo they have split screen online where one person is signed into their xbox live account, and everyone else appears as a guest. So their names would show up as (hosts gamertag) [1], (hosts gamertag) [2], etc. If MW2 does have split-screen online, hopefully it will work like this. It might be a little hard to do with the class system and all though :-k

If I'm wearing a team-39 cape, and someone else is wearing a team-39 cape, they appear as a blue dot on my minimap. Also, anyone wearing your team cape with you in pvp will have walk-here as the left-click option, and attack as a right-click option, even if they are lower level than you

The fast way would be to make steel plates, or superheat gold with goldsmithing gauntlets. If you don't want to spend as much, mithril bolts are good. If you must do something with steel, just smelt the bars and sell them.
