heh, wow. This guy makes a one-sentence post basically saying 'i'm depressed', and he gets 4+ pages of analsis and debates.

What the hell is wrong with people and thinking nerds are bad. I admit i'm a nerd, and tell people im a nerd at school. No one cares, nerds are awesome, nerds are cool. Playing games is awesome and cool. People try to be who they aren't these days and no wonder they get screwed up teenage years. To the author of this thread. I was very depressed during those years mostly cause i had a hard time socializing with friends and that. But little did i realize, my friends were just right under my nose all along, i just didn't care enough to pay attention. Also, i would suggest reading some books. I did alot during those years and it helped alot. You can learn alot reading even fiction, as there are many lessons to be learned through the themes of many books. This is probably the best advice on this thread so far in my opinion. I would also suggest to listen to some music that you like that may cheer you up. I would recomend Bob Marley. Look into, it may help you a lot as it did me. Whatever you do, don't listen to Irulepoker and try to be something you are not. Try to just be yourself, and let anyone who likes you for who you are be your friend. If no one comes, well then just keep waiting. It may take a while. But you have to learn to be strong about it and stay a good person, no matter how hard it gets. Some people mention you should try to get a girlfriend. I would say this, if there is a girl you like, try to do things with her and maybe eventually ask her out. If not, then don't try to get a girlfriend just to be cool. good luck.

whoa i just had a weird, but sort of awesome dream. I was in some kind of shootout (too much battlefront playing last night :lol: ) and I somehow accidently got thrown off the battlefield and into some kind of civilian area, but I still had all my grenades and guns and stuff. Then somehow, I blow up this building with lots of people in it. Now I don't remember the actual process of it, but I do remember that I did not intend for it to happen. Then I spend the rest of my dream lieing to the police about it. After a couple close calls, of which I can't specifically remember, I do eventually evade the police and trick them out, with no charges pressed. I managed a perfect crime. It was quite an awesome dream.

More like 'A musing on fashion' than anything else. One can get by without conforming to certain fashions, as long as they look decently. The real problems are in other aspects of a related nature.

I remember doing this a while back. I dunno where you are, but where I was you could take the test as many times as you wanted that same day until you passed. Of course I didn't know that until after I had studied my [wagon] off. But then I passed the first time so I guess it was kind of worth it.

wow, are people stupid? SUPER MARIO BROTHERS (original) ...yes I'm a bit of a retro gamer. But really, without that game, where would be today? other good ones include Mario 64, KOTOR, and SimCity. and Smash Brothers for multi-player.

friends good movies or any good literature in general (TV, books, etc) victorious democrats or other liberal political leaders maybe gaming to some extent, but not really. hmm, thats probably about it. now, if there were a thread about what pisses you off...that would be fun.

I've looked into upcoming games that I like, and they seem restricted to the 360. There is some star wars game due out sometime in 07, but its for 360 and PS3 only. Star Trek: Legacy, 360 only, Lord of the Rings: White Council, due out 07, for 360 and PS3 only. What is going on here? and just so you guys know i don't like these because of the franchise so much. The main reason I like star wars games is because they are like FPS, only in 3rd person, same with lotr except with swords and stuff. If you guys have any other suggestions, I also like RPGs and strategy, like Rome: Total War and SimCity, but I doubt those are on consoles.

ha I've played the original first ever metroid game on a NES emulator. Other than that, I havn't played much, but the one for Wii does look pretty cool.

I am considering buying a Wii sometime. However, the setback for me is the games. Right now the only good game people talk about (besides Wii Sports, which is included), is the Zelda game. I have never played any zelda games previously, so do you guys think I would still enjoy it? Now, another reason for not buying a Wii is its lack of star wars games. I'm a big fan of star wars games and lord of the rings games, and that kind of stuff rather than FPS, but it seems like there is a lack of those due out for Wii. Of cource Smash Brothers 3 and Mario Galaxy will probably still be good. My other option would be an Xbox 360, but i'm leaning away from that because I have an xBox, but not a Gamecube. If I got a Wii, I could play all the Gamecube games I missed out on. So, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii or none? (PS3 is out of the question).

If Harry is a horcrux, why is Voldemort always trying to kill him??? :wall: The theory that Voldemort intentionally made Harry into a horcrux is, in my opinion, very very flawed. The more realistic (but still unlikely), theory is that Voldemort accidently made Harry into a horcrux the night that he gave him his scar. I highly doubt this as well, but many will disagree with me. The really interesting thing in this book is Snape's loyalties. I am quite convinced that weather or not Snape turns out to be good or evil will be the defining moment as to weather or not Harry lives or dies.

reading these posts have given me this idea: 'Deathly Hallows' probably refer to the events that took place on Halloween at Godric's Hollow. I bet a lot of the book will be about unraveling the mysteries regarding Harry's parents, and other things that went on during that night.

and McCain would be the ideal oponent for him, becuase they are in stark contrast over experiance. McCain would be one of the oldest presidents, Obama one of the youngest.

I wasn't aware that was even his middle name...And being someone who usually watches CNN all day, I'd reckon that won't be a huge factor. However, you overlook that his last name is OBAMA. Which just happens to rhyme with a certain someone in this country that everyone hates. I think Obama could easily defend any attacks on his name. What he won't be able to defend is attacks on his inexperiance. I'm predicting McCain wins in 08 against Obama by a really close margin. It would be like the coolest thing ever though if he then chose Obama as his VP. Too bad it would never really happen....

Would Barack Obama make a good American president in 2008? I think he would do great, but I don't know if he can win it. My prediction is that he will defeat Hillary Clinton and John Edwards easily in the democratic primaries, but face tough opposition from republicans like John McCain and Rudy Guiliani (sp)? I dunno if he'll be able to pull it off. He will face tough attacks on his inexperiance, but if he does win, I think he will be like the next Kennedy. opinions?
