  1. Yay, thanks for hosting this. Will definitely enter. I do think we should allow premades to be entered, though. As long as the signature fits the theme (maybe have like 3 people decide on this when necessary?) I don't really see a problem with that, but it might help to get some more people to enter something. The lack of activity was the main reason the last SotW contest (and many others before that) died, and it would be a shame if that happened again. :(
  2. ^ Yeah, that's a good way to post lots of stuff quickly. Unfortunately I tend not to remember where exactly I saw a specific piece of art either. :|

  4. Maybe try showing us the actual wallpaper itself, instead of the wallpaper added to the screen of the phone, right now it's kind of hard to see any details because of the bad quality/glossy effect.
  5. Seen some amazing stuff (some of which can be found in my dA favourites), but unfortunately I tend not to save/download great art when I see it, so not much to post. :(
  6. Those cut-off splatters are the main problem at the moment, other than that it's not too bad (it does seem quite LQ though). The colours are decent and the concept (flames in the middle of a kind of explosion of splatteriness) seems pretty good too. Keep at it and don't be afraid to try some new things.
  7. They all look very much alike, seems like you used exactly the same technique - which isn't a great one (boring backgrounds, bad blending, text placement/font doesn't work) - for all of them. Try something new, and take a look at a few tutorials at for example deviantART to get an idea of some of the basics. Also, I wouldn't really recommend putting on text unless you really have a decent idea of what works and what doesn't and some more experience. Taking a look a some signatures with good text that were made by others might help with this (don't rip/copy ideas exactly though).
  8. ^ I think it was a stock, Thru posted the link to it a long time ago. I don't have it, so maybe try searching his posts (although that particular one with the link in it may have been deleted in the rollback). Anyway, it would be best to ask Thru I think.
  9. I'd agree that Tip.it is the most ownage RuneScape forum. http://www.tip.it/runescape http://forum.tip.it
  10. I wouldn't flame you. :P
  11. Looks great now.
  12. Simply put, I don't understand this whole thread. Are you looking for comments on the picture, or are you just posting a question, or...? :?
  13. ^ Agreed with tripsis. Also, I don't think it really looks like a 3D object at the moment. It's quite hard to explain, but because of the shading it looks very 2D. I'd try to make it seem more real and have the shading 'curve' around it more, and make it look less like a single colour shape with a gradient applied to it.
  14. The first one looks awesome, great colours and composition IMO. It looks like those drops of water are 'walking' on a road (the leaf) or something, very nice. That last one is good too, but apart from the focus problems it looks slightly washed out to me, which is a shame. Though maybe you could try and fix that with a few colour adjustments?
  15. ^ To be honest, I think some of the more experienced signature makers find that blending isn't one of the most important aspects to a good signature. But of course, you are entitled to your own opinion. :) OT: I quite like the colour scheme on V1 and the whole right side of the sig (although I agree adding some depth would improve it, I'd just blur the upper part - the bit next to her arm - a little), but the smudging on the left seems too 'dense'. It would be nice if some of the original stock was still visible, so maybe try erasing some of the darker parts of the smudgings with a soft brush. Also, the signature does seem to have some quality issues, but it's not too bad. Overall, nice work.

I'm actually surprised how many people are using this. Glad you guys like it, and Merry Christmas everyone! :D

    Thanks guys. :D

Thanks, but it's not a pixel signature. The penguin is a render and the other stuff I just drew on it with a brush.

  21. It's quite large. :o Too much dark/almost black spots IMO, I'd try brightening it up a bit. The wireframeness on the left looks quite good (although that area is really dark), but I'm not sure about the white on the right (lol that rhymes :twss:). Maybe get some more colour in there too, it's quite monotone at the moment. Or you could convert it to greyscale completely and adjust the brightness/contrast, could work too (especially if you added some more interesting effects). That would also fix a few spots where little dots of colours seem to be flying around randomly (near his shoulder and hand, for example). And get rid of the border. :P

Random signature I made as a Christmas present for The Gallery community. Feel free to use in your sig space without credit, just don't edit/steal/claim that you made it because that's lame. :D Have fun, comments are appreciated. Happy holidays everyone!
  23. Nice work, but quite a few of those seem to have contrast issues. The 'dull' colours work well on some of them, but I think you overuse that way of colouring a little.

+1 rofl u nub this b galleryscape!!11 noa posts on mah thredz. --- Yeah, I agree just rating someone's work or saying "it sux" is completely pointless. Even if you don't know a lot about that particular style of art, you can still at least try to say what you like or hate about the piece. That being said, I don't think that things like "it sucks!!!" should be considered any less constructive than ego boosters like "it ownzz!!!". Both are (unless, of course, intended humorously), stupid. But then there are also those rare situations when really, all you can say is 'Wow'. :P

Looks great. My only (small) complaint would be about the colour of the links when you hover your mouse over them; the blue doesn't really seem to work with the orange and black. I probably would have gone for light grey or something else that's more neutral, but I suppose it won't bother anyone really, so it's fine as it is. :P Nice work.
