  1. ^ I'd have to agree, try Gimp. It's free, far more powerful and although it might be quite overwhelming at first, there are many people here that can help you get to grips with it.
  2. Pixel is really good. I'd maybe add some more detail to the wall, but I can understand that you've grown tired of working on it. :P The smudgie sigs aren't a bad start, but you need to clean them up a bit. Try to make the smudging look less 'transparent' too. If you're using Gimp, try these setting (they're Soa's, not mine): Hard round brush 19 px, spacing 1, rate 90, no jitter, opacity 100 (I think). Just mess around with some other brushes/setting too. BTW, here be my text for the pixel sig: Hope you like it. I almost forgot how much fun pixeling is.
  3. It's good, but I just feel it lacks detail in quite a lot of areas. The tree for example could use more contrast and some texture, same with the grass and sea. Making those elements look slightly more realistic would greatly improve the quality of the siggy IMO.
  4. Tag #2 GMV too. Focal is blurry/LQ in #1. #2's colours are better IMO.
  5. Wut? Anyway, sent via PR.
  6. I do still use PR, don't waste a lot of points on me though. Or do.
  7. D: I'll do it as soon as I have some time, pretty busy. Haven't pixeled in a while though, so what I make might be fail.
  8. This thread is awesome, I'll upload some stuff later. I do have a problem with megaupload though: when I enter the three letter code and press Download nothing happens, and I don't see a timer either. I'm probably just being stupid, but I don't get it. :(
  9. This isn't what you asked for obviously, but I started on it a while ago when you requested a Turtwig signature so here it is. Have it anyway.
  10. It doesn't looks bad, but just not terribly interesting IMO. I think the smudging is ok but quite boring, same with the colours. I'd also get rid of the border and make the area around the sprite less bright.

#1: Good colours, clean effects, looks nice. #2: Quality of effects... :( Not so sure about the colours. Too washed out IMO. #3: Quality, again. Even if the effect was intended. #4: I really like, I'd just make it B&W completely though.
  12. Good start. I'd also get rid of the border and text though. And try smudging the render/some parts of the background a bit with a hard round brush at spacing 1.
  13. That's fine, have fun at the wedding.

Really like it, just wondering if the black outlines will still be visible on PR's background though. I think it wouldn't look as good without them.
  15. Good piece, the splatters are a nice effect. I'd just remove the text in the bottom right completely though, I don't think it needs that.
  16. Both are cool, I do think the second ones lacks depth though. Maybe add some darker areas to the background, instead of having it just in one colour. But nice job.

If you remove the text and border the sig has a lot of potential IMO. As an abstract piece that is. I can't really make out much of the render. :-#
  18. Just keep practising (in another program), and check out some tutorials at for example deviantART too. And, as a piece of general advice, try to stay away from using effects like scanlines all over the sig and too many filters, they usually don't look too good.
  19. [X] Signature [ ] Avatar [ ] Banner [ ] PSP background [ ] Desktop Background [ ] Large Piece Size: Like 360x120. Render/Stock: Style: Typography Theme: PENGUINZ. And/or, like Thru, anything about me. Thanks in advance, your typo stuff is awesum. <3
  20. Don't like the splatters around the edges, they don't really add anything to it and they just sit there without helping the flow or composition. Also, like said before, everything is blurry.
  21. XD Stock works well.
  22. Heard many people say something like that about many artists, and although I can see where they're coming from, I don't think I agree. For almost all people making signatures is just a hobby, and hobbies are there to be enjoyed. So as long as they enjoy what they're doing, I don't think it's a waste of anything. Anyway, OT: Some really good stuff obviously. Great use of colour and nice composition on nearly all of the good ones.

Some of the lines seem too straight, especially Santa's right (our right, his left) shoulder/arm should be more curved I think. It looks quite unnatural at the moment.
