1. [hide=][/hide] Yes, I did kind of go overboard with the smudging. Maybe you guys will hate it. :-? Thru or Shiny or someone else who uses Gimp will have to work on it next though, since I only uploaded the .xcf. Argh, I'm stupid. Either way, tell me if you'd like to work on it next and I'll PM you the .xcf link. :D

I think it looks ok, just not a fan of the background. It's quite monotone and I think the effects aren't very interesting, and it seems quite flat. Some better effects would help it IMO.
3. For Zoov: Sorry for the long wait. #-o
4. Not a fan of it either. :( The render itself is blended well enough, but I don't like the effect with the distorted rectangles. The colours, especially those on the lower left, seem quite random and don't really go well with the render's colours. It's good to see you're trying out something new, though.

I like the patterns you used, I think the colour rectangles and double focals are a bit distracting though.
6. I have indeed started already, but anyone that wants to join can have a go when I'm finished.

Yay. Gud.
8. ^ I recognize most of those, they're awesome. I've seen some other great ones, but I always forget where. :wall:

10. I think it could look pretty good if you smudge some of the noisiness (especially the effects on both sides of her face) and some of the white. The noisy effects don't really go well with the smoother look of the render IMO, and the white isn't terribly interesting. I think it has potential though, and I quite like the colours.

Needs less fractal/shape stuff. :( I like #2 though, but I think the bottom part is too messy.
12. I think there are lots of things to improve on. The colours just don't work IMO, they're too brown-ish and unappealing. Try choosing a colour scheme and stick to that. The floating white thingies and outlined head are just... bad IMO, mainly because those elements stand out way too much. Working with RS graphics is not easy and I wouldn't recommend it. Take a look at some tutorials at for example deviantART, the good ones are really helpful.
13. The collab is cool, I just wish Jason had left some of the wireframes in there instead of smudging them completely though. That would make the background more interesting and it would help the depth. As for the Pokémon sprite, I don't like it at all. I think it has major colour problems, and the smudging looks filter-piled and LQ. The pink things (which I assume are C4Ds) just seem to be floating there randomly which doesn't help the composition or flow. Also, I'd definitely stop using those tech brushes, they don't go well with any abstract sig IMO. Same as Julius, sorry for the harshness, but I also think you should try doing a different style instead of sticking to what you know.
14. Oh hi. :twss: #1: Not bad, but the duplicated render part on the left is a bit distracting. Also, I think some areas lack depth. #2: Decent settings, I think the smudging itself doesn't really flow though. The middle part looks quite flat and slightly boring too, mainly because it's one colour. #3: Looks good. I do think the background could use some more contrast and darker colours though.
15. #1 GMV. The effects and colours are slightly better IMO.

I don't know what it is, but personally I've found myself visit dA a lot less nowadays. I guess I'm just tired of reading the same one word comments and seeing the same kind of art again and again. Don't get me wrong, it's a great site with some great people, but it's just all so... huge, and feels kind of 'unpersonal', if that makes any sense. I'd much rather get some real C/C from a few nice people I know, than slightly more attention from people I haven't seen before and probably will never see again either. Bleh, boring post, I'm only talking about myself.
17. Might be, I've seen a lot of people use them though and I'm not sure who Lars is. Plus, I don't think the sig is great, so I'm not going to post it on PR anyway. :P

19. ^ Glad you like it. Yeah lol, the sword was cut off at one end so I had to smudge it completely.
20. Font is called Zaphino.
21. I'm on it, my style is fail with cartoon renders though. Still, it can't hurt to try. Spyder, here's your sig: Probably looks a lot different than you expected.

All versions seem very low quality/grainy, or is that just because of the JPEGness? Either way, it's not bad, but I think your smudging looks quite flat, which makes the whole signature slightly boring. I also think adding something like a C4D or two would help, maybe see how a bubble one looks in there. Personally I'd crop or resize the signature a bit too so that it won't be as big, that might look better.
23. #1: Is awesome IMO, I like the style. #2: Not low beginner, just low novice. #3: Would be pretty cool, if it wasn't for the LQness and messiness. I'd probably remove at least 5 effect layers. #4: Is ok, no like the effects though. I just think you use too many of those flame fractals. New style please. :(
