^ Yeah, stop with the random jpg bashing if you don't know what you're talking about. As for the art, I agree with what Nadril and pryo have said, it's just too flat, unrealistic and boring.

^ /facepalm The signature is pretty good, but I think there's too much going on for a small canvas. The shading on the rocks is decent, but quite busy, so it makes it hard to see what's going on with the characters. I think it could use some more contrast too, you'd expect darker shadows and harsher highlights on things that are lit by lava. It' definitely not bad, though.
  4. ^ That's because of the PNG-8 format they were saved in, and it's easily changed. The main thing I'd do is removing the borders, most signatures look better without. Just take a look at some tutorials (http://www.deviantart.com) and keep practising too.
  5. ^ I don't know why, but that made me laugh.
  6. Nice shots. I really like those water droplets, especially the ones with a bit more colour variation.

Blurry filteriness is not good. Neither are the lens flare and colours. It's just... messy and unappealing.
  8. @Swimmy: no pixels, like stated in the first post.
  9. Colours, background, noise and composition are pretty bad in the newer sig.
  10. Do you want some effects or other things added to those images or are you just looking for someone to resize them to avatar and signature size?
  11. Lol, I don't like it either though. Can we see the original? Because I think it looks like just a stock with some minor colour adjustments (that didn't work) and some blur (too much).
  12. How could I forget? :wall:
  13. Simple, everyday objects. Like an apple, pieces of paper, etc.
  14. I don't do pointless ego boosting comments.
  15. I'd say using the spray can is alright if you use it in moderation and only for things like sand, especially if you're just starting out, but I really think this is overkill. Besides, it doesn't actually look like the sun, or at least not in the way we see it from earth. I'm not sure you wanted to make it look like that, but chances are you're only going to pixel a sun in background of other scenes, where it would look like some bright circle more than anything else.

Everything's pretty blurry too, make sure your effects look clean.
  17. It's fine, congrats. Well deserved. And I would love to have the xcf, I collect pro stuff.
  18. Wow, that's awesome. Thanks so much!
  19. ^ It is a plug-in, but one that comes with Gimp, so as far as I'm concerned he didn't lie about anything. You can make fractals like these with the plug-in.
  20. I think both are good, the first one just seems to have better contrast and colours than the second though. But both are definitely very well usable, so good job. BTW, you switched the PR links around: the link in the blue fractal hide tag is actually the link to the red ones, and the other way round.

I do think this needs to be in the questions sticky though.
  22. Nice job. The frame rate seems fine, but I did notice how the camera angle seem to shift slightly in the first few frames. It's not a big deal though.
  23. Thanks a lot, works fine now. I guess I must've overlooked something. :P
