You knew it was down the drain, a waste of time, in the first place though. No, it wasn't a waste of time in the first place. I know I have had a great time playing the game(I'm guessing most people here have too), therefore, it wasn't a waste. Losing everything I worked for would turn it into a waste. As for having a reset, I would probably quit. It just wouldn't be as fun, having experienced it all before. I'm gonna have to post simply to agree with this statement. It's definitely true, anything you enjoy is not a waste of time. Else, sports would be a complete waste of time as well. As would practically anything other than working, eating and sleeping.

I'd go with Farming because you can't no-life it like other stats. There is a MAXIMUM amount of experience you can get per day, and Slayer can probably top this. RCing can as well. I believe that if you're VERY good you can get 300k farming exp per day, and that's if you pick trees right at the very start, then again 15 hours into the day. It's very rare that you get 300k farming exp per day.

...an equal chance? like a "fair" race to see who has the fastest computer and most stamina? btw, I might play again for the quests, since I never saw the updated graphics. but otherwise, it's not worth it in my opinion. No way could this EVER be a "fair" race. The people with more experience would level up WAAAAYYYYYYYY faster than any others, because they know the most efficient ways. Those players would soon again dominate the high scores list. Jagex will never reset the game - they would simply lose too much of their member base out of people who are disgusted at the phenomenal waste of time most people put into this game being destroyed in one fell swoop so that noobs who can't play have a "fair" chance at the highscores list. Although the chance wouldn't really be fair, as discussed above. So it's a lose-lose situation for Jagex.

It is actually slower, because house loading times are so extreme. However, you're right about the 8 orders per payment thing. And... Demon butlers are simply the GREATEST! They are sooo fast.

ranarr seeds, super-poison potion ingredients(?), easy herb gathering, etc. is pointless? Exactly right local! Farming can actually be one of the BEST moneymakers in the game, gp per hour wise :) Now, before you start spamming me "No it can't! What are you thinking, you stupid fr00b?!!" hear me out. Farming snapdragons, you can get 7 herbs per seed on average. The cost of seeds and supercompost is 41k per seed planted. Therefore, it is possible to make 88k PER LOAD. And, before you ask me about the per hour thing, listen. It takes around 10 minutes to do a single round of herbs. That means you can do 6 loads per hour of ACTUAL farming. So, per hour, you get 88*6k gp per hour, or 528k per hour. I rest my case - the best moneymaker in the game. And, it's one of the slowest skills to level up in the game. There is a maximum amount of EXP you can get per day. This means that 99 is a guaranteed nearly four months of "powerfarming". I realize you can't apply "power" to farming, because you can only do a certain amount of farming per day, so it's impossible to no-life and get 1m exp in a day, like most other skills. Farming is a guaranteed time-consumer. So, therefore, it is one of the most respectable.
