  1. The most obvious one I can think of would have to be.... Santa hats/party hats. They give no defence bonuses, they're worth one gp at the store, etc, etc...
  2. Hey guys, I really thought this blog died off. Bt anyways, I'm back, and giving it a makeover, so it's not updated recently. But it'll be back online soon (since I know I have legions of adoring fans waiting breathlessly - I wish.) Also, a few new goals in there, with 70+ taking the backseat to: Full Guthans and 99 fletching. Full gthans is working on 70 rc, as well, so... I'll be back soon.
  3. It's actually the song Hemispheres. The full name of Hemispheres is 'Cygnus x-1 Book II: Hemispheres'. The song continues the story of the man who flew into the black hole in The Voyage, and he reenters as Cygnus, God of Balance. And have fun Alan! I saw them July 18th in Calgary, greatest time of my life.
  4. Please don't engage in huge quotefests, you can make your reply without having to restate everything that's already been said in the debate. If you must, try to use only one or two, if they're relevant. Arguing about who has the most exp really isn't in any way relevant to the debate, and could probably be considered both spamming and flaming.
  5. I dunno why you don't see me much anymore. You must've quit for a while? Anyways, I've actually seen less of you than I had, but still loads - 9/10.
  6. I love you because confusion is beautiful.
  7. klankaos I have a keyboard the size of a small elephant, and I weigh under 90 pounds. I win =D
  8. Hmm... Well, I don't really know. I kinda snorted once 3:32 ago, does that count? Anyways.... TPUM is a secret agent on a mission in Russia with James Bond.
  9. Lots. Like, really lots. 10/10.
  10. I dunno, I kinda liked green and red =D Anyways, Debate Club is too small lol. We need a few more people. I actually sometimes end up writing essay-quality posts in there, sometimes mltiples on a topic. It's what I do to relax - basically destroy other people's ideas. And you need to teach me how to runecraft. How close to 70 are you?
  11. And rightfully so. Unfortunately, the Aussie legal system blows too. Don't they all? I think it's just general government policy to screw over the common person.
  12. That was only transferring RSC accounts to RS2, so it barely counts as an 'update' per se. And hits can be considered a skill - you do train it, after all. =D
  13. Amazing eyes. That's hilarious - do yo uthink these are scattered throughout the game, or just this once? I don't like Jagex anymore =D
  14. You stole my idea! There is absoltely no way ANYONE can say there is a skill less updated than Hitpoints. There's never BEEN a bloody hits update! You can't even do anything with it! (And yes, it IS a skill, it's on the list. =D)
  15. Never heard of you =D 'Course, I hang out in Debate Club mostly, which is not the most frequented of forums. So, few people know me... But those who frequent Debate Clb most likely know me well. Anyway, 0/10. =(
  16. You're really powering your way through the RC levels, I'm gonna need to come join you sometime, see how you do it. What world do you RC in? Oh yeah.... SPAM.............. ..............ATTACK I'm truly sorry... I couldn't resist it. Oh, btw, how did you come to be modding Debate Club? I've never seen you in there.
  17. You need to actually enter the room where the whistle is to be able to see it, and it's on the third floor, not the second. I had problems with that one too.
  18. Essentially, this means you have to kill this monster 700 times?!?!?!?!?!? ever gonna happen, that's a perfect example of an impossible challenge. It would never be released, and the weapon would have to be capable of onehitting everything in the whole damn game to be worth that, in which case it would simply be unbalancing and the game would crash. I think they have. There's no way they can come ot with a more powerful weapon, and they might nerf this one soon on the basis of it becoming unbalancing. I jst realized how flamed they'd be by all the people who spent 200m on this weapon if they nerfed it. There'd be a mass qitting, and riots like never before seen. Wowzers.
  19. I never really knew you, bt I definitely knew of you, although I suppose everyone does. Were there a spuer-admin, you'd be one. You've done loads for these boards, and you're breaking hearts by leaving us, bt we understand. (At least I do... Really can't say the same for everyone, you might jst be breaking their hearts for no reason apparent.) Goodbye.
  20. Well, I guess Jagex simply apply the thinking that any weapon should really be tradeable. After all, by this logic, no armour that can be gained only as a drop (which includes ALL boots, just for the record, along with ALL dragon armour and some weapons!!) should be untradeable. How much would the economy crash if you could no longer trade third age, barrows, dragon, or obsidian? The Godsword may be a powerful weapon, but that doesn't necessarily set it apart from other weapons.
  21. I think what Jagex is trying to do is focus a lot of banning on the side of players buying the gold. They know and understand that as long as there's demand, the autoers will be there. However, if you scare the buyers enough into not buying it anymore, the demand sharply decreases, and the bots numbers dwindle and move on because the game is no longer profitable. Since selling Runescape gold online would be considered intellectual property theft, and buying it knowing that it's illegitimate material would also make the buyer responsible, I think Jagex should start throwing legal threats at the members who buy the gold. Mention that if they do in fact find and take action against a gold buying company, that they will subpoena the courts for a list of customers and go after them as well. Remember, a lot of the players who buy gold are American, a country where most will bend under the threat of legal action. That, I believe, is the way Jagex need to turn their attention. If they're already doing it, kudos to them. However, if they're not, I think this forum cold really provide them some insights as to how to make the game a better place. (And not only this debate! There are others that could definitely make TB@JT's life much easier.)
  22. You win Alex, that was an easy one =D And Rush are simply the ultimate in musicianship, but I'm madly in love with them, so I might just be a tad biased. They do put on one of the best shows yo'll ever see in your life though, doesn't matter whether you're a fan or not. Anyway, next question. (Btw alex, ask qestions! Argh. =D) Which Rush 'epic' is a sequel to Cygnus X-1 Book One: The Voyage?
  23. All you're saying is that the United States has a horrible legal system, which I already knew. :P Yes. : This here is a perfect example of the true epitome of what the world would be filled with were it a perfect place. If everyone felt this way, there would be no suffering or pain, because anyone causing suffering or pain would be dealt with fairly and justly. The legal system is definitely a brilliant example of stupidity in government, and the fact that power corrupts. However, as Makoto earlier said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth make the whole world blind and toothless. There's really no point to scamming scammers, becase, while you make some money and take some from someone who earned it unlawfully, you're really only stooping to that person's level. That makes it acceptable for others to do the same to you, by whatever means they deem necessary to part the money from its unlawful posessor. This will generally degrade the whole game (or country, should you happen to still be talking about the legal system), and make chaos rule. Anarchy, however bad the government may be, is the worst possible outcome. You should report any scammers to Jagex/the government, and allow them to deal with it as they may. I realize that Jagex/the government isn't perfect (matter of fact, they're two of the farthest things from it, although Jagex are better at their jobs than the government are), but even should they only deal with 10% of the scammers, they're still doing a better job of governing than anarchy would. Scamming a scammer does nothing for you or anyone else, because they'll keep doing it and you've tarnished your record.
  24. Vapour Trails, actually. The band decided to go for a more "Raw, rock sound", so they chose to use no synths. Anyways... I know that he and Alex Lifeson didn't really get along well originally, and Alex wanted to take on someone else. But Geddy Lee liked him, and so he was allowed to join. Don't know if that's the answer you're looking for, but whatever. Who did Neil Peart replace as drummer?
  25. That's exactly my point. The value of an item in any economy is the perceptions of the buyers, not the reality. Had the player-base as a whole stopped to think about it, they would have realized that the true value of santas hadn't actually increased, for reasons I stated above. However, they didn't - they just went into a frenzy of buying and selling, although the santas truly weren't any rarer or more valuable than before. The price hike was based solely on perception, not truth. (I realize you weren't trying to spam or flame - you did make a good, solid point.) And even had Duke Freedom only quit, it would have had the same effect - he no longer played, whether forced to or he chose to. It has no effect, unless by quitting he decided to sell them all, in which case the market would likely have flooded. It was mentioned earlier that it was rumored that he had 500 santas. So, nobody can really tell us this is true. So the value of santas may not have changed at all even in truth, it could simply be rumour that caused the perception to change without the reality changing at all.
