Longsword Versus Scimitar
Make a good post, please. This is the debate club, not the idiot club. You're supposed to actually debate, not just state your opinion. Anyways, IMO, scimmy is better. You only lose one hit, and make up for it with three hits to every four (or something of the sort). So it's possible to hit far more with a scimmy. Even the special doesn't make up for that, because you can't do it often enough, although the scimmy's special really sucks. The only place where a long would be better would be fighting a monster with weak stab defence, like the giant mole.

Bots-Good or Bad?
Be serious. Runescape is not dead - there are still millions of people that play the game. I will agree, however, with your point about 'the point of RuneScape' - working toward your goals in really the only thing to do in the game. However, this said, we must realize that it's never pointless to play the game as long as you can be proud of yourself, and macros truly aren't ruining this for anyone. If you take pride in your accomplishments, and let the insults simply flow off, you will continue playing the game for as long as it's enjoyable. Your other point that I take exception to is the idea that macroers are ruining your achievements. You talk about the 'easy way' versus the 'hard way', and say that macros are the easy way. At least that's the way I'm taking it. If I'm wrong, please correct me. However, the issue with this point is that the bots do not play RuneScape for that same reason players do - the sense of accomplishment and the enjoyment you get from playing the game and doing what you want to do. Macros only make the achievements easier because it's easier to buy the raw materials necessary for your goals - they don't actually make the achievement itself easier. The reason that achievements are being 'lost in the flood', as you say, is simply the increased number of people who play the game. Macroers really have no input on this. The final way that macroers affect the game for us players is, simply, the economy. Now is where we find the serious point, and the truly serious way that macroers affect the game. They've drastically decreased the price of logs, fish, etc. and made it far easier to get these items. This is good because of the increased ease of playing the game and decreased frustration at the market and RuneScape's severe lack of an easy way to obtain large amounts of resources. Without bots, there would be no large stockpile of yew logs to buy from for that fletching cape, or raw sharks for the cooking cape. HOWEVER - they are bad because they destroy the economy for those players wishing to sell their own harvests, because most of these players simply can't keep up with the demand of the general populace. Therefore, people buy from autoers. So, in conclusion, it affects two separate parts of the playerbase differently, but overall, I believe that they are a bad influence on the game and the economy.

Looking Back on Skill Capes, A whole Year Ago
I thik they automatically become trimmed, not sure though. I believe this update may have been the biggest update (in terms of relating to the economy and how people play the game) ever, other than RS2 of course =D. It jumped raw fish prices, log prices, ore prices... Basically everything. It also saw a huge increase in 'powerleveling' stats just to get the 99. I'm doing fletching right now, but I've vowed never to burn-out a skill again, I burnt out on fletching a couple levels back and took a break for a month or two. Now I'm getting it because it aggravates me to have 96.

The Holiday Items
Personally, I really like the egg ring =D It's lots of fun, and you don't see them so often anymore. However, I think that halloween masks are the best items simply for the looks. Partyhats, honestly, look kinda stupid. However, sometimes you can work them into a good outfit. Full dragon with a red halloween mask is cool though.

Slayer Advice
I think your best bet is to just keep doing it until your max assign is something else. Then if you want lots of that one, you can simply do a Zanaris task, then a Burthorpe one (no master gives the same task twice in a row, so the Burthorpe task is a kind of filler).

Post Requirement for Making Topics. (Lets brainstorm now)
That's the only real problem, but it's insurmountable. Good idea, but not gonna work too well. I like the idea of having to have a certain number of words to count, though.

OT Debate Subforum
I've been thinking about this for a long time. Political debates, economic debates and pretty well anything would go in here. People don't post OT debates in the Debate Club because it's not an OT debate forum. However, were there and OT debate club, I think we'd see an increase that would rationalize the decision.

Best exp/hour skill?
Construction is huge, and it's an amazing 99 to have. However it's very money-draining =D

WHY choose that skill to get 99 in?
Agreed with all of those as the main determinants 99 fletching/cooking are still sought after because they are easy. I would also like to add expense as a determinant. People will tend to go after cheaper skills, or skills that have a high return. Expensive skills are also more or less respected. +1, well said. I think runecrafting may just be penultimate.

I heard someone was kicked for bisexuality. Now, I have no proof, but that'd be simply horrifying were it true. Bigoted mods = not cool.

Would you do this?
I would personally suggest that Jagex simply scale down their updates to once every monthy, This would make me happy, as I would still get y content upgrades every month, and would make me even happier in the long run, with RS3. I remember a poll about something like this, where Jagex suggested scaling back their updates to twice a month in order to put bigger updates out. It was voted down by a landslide, if I remember correctly. However, I realize this thread isn't about populace reactions, it's bout personal. So I'll tell you again, once amonth would be fine. After that I start to get bored.

Crafting Nats w abyss
Honestly, I'm fine, very few pkers, at combat 86. Don't worry about them, just remember that oneclick teles are your friend, along with good mage defence and rings of life.
