The Irrationalities of Human Behavior
Only in the eyes of the people who believe it to be irrational, and most of those have long since left this world. Now obviously if someone's experimenting with something that is irrational, like "I'm gonna try to tape cement wings onto this pig and see if it can fly", then yes the experimenting is irrational, but that irrationality isn't derived from the experimentation itself.

The Irrationalities of Human Behavior
I don't really think there are unjustifiable events that go on, as the people who do what others may label as unjustifiable have justified it and rationalized it for themselves. The same goes for morality, there is no universal moral code that's set in place, rather we all have our own personal moral codes which we try to live by. I guess what I'm trying to say is we shouldn't be confused by something just because it's not something we ourselves would never even dream of doing. As for logic issues, that all just comes down to differing levels of intelligence/problem solving. Someone might think an upside down pyaramid house would be unique and stylish, while the rest of us know that it won't withstand the first big storm that passes. So yeah, it's illogical to do that, but some people simply don't think ahead.

Real life pictures - 3
Keep in mind that our vision is naturally "widescreen". But yeah, the moment the image is frozen it just seems to lack the life it has when you're looking at it in person.

....yes? You are aware that there's more to it than that, right? The most common way to say it though is just "When in Rome...".

I think I have a brain problem.
That's why every song I like, I make sure I know the lyrics to...or at least well enough to finish the song. :

Your Biggest Mistake
Um, how is Runescape a mistake? The point of a game is to play it to have fun, so as long as it was fun then there's no mistake in playing it regardless of how many hours you spent on it. Now if you were playing it and NOT having fun, then you were either addicted, stupid, or both. Hell, you'll probably spend more time daydreaming in your lifetime versus time spent on Runescape.

The Metric System
I know both systems perfectly well...and I see absolutely no reason as to why the US should even consider switching. The imperial system we have in place does it's job just as good as the metric system would, and people already know it. Honestly the only area we have reason to switch in is science, and that's already been done.

My goal is to live forever, so far so good. I'm not a goat, I'm just horny. A rich man is talking to a poor man and says "I'll give you all of my riches if you tell me your secret to happiness" to which the poor man replies "The secret is I don't want your riches".

The Metric System
How is it [developmentally delayed]ed? Imperial came first then later on the rest of the world developed an easier system, but at this point the US had no reason to switch. Really, why does the whole world need to use a single system? America doesn't have to switch to metric and the rest of the world doesn't have to switch to imperial. Seriously, the whole "because it's easier and more logical" argument could be said for many things, including languages and laws. Should all nations switch to the easiest to learn and most logical language (which by the way isn't English)?

The Metric System
My question is - what reasons does the United States even have to switch?

domino's prank
Uh, stuff like that happens every day tbh. It's just these 2 were stupid enough to record themselves doing it, then distributed it worldwide. And because of my first statement, I just have to laugh anytime someone gets all fussed up about these 2 specifically, for instance one of the comments said "they should be jailed for [bleep]ing ever".

Clairvoyance, real or Bs?
Go to the police, proclaim she turned you into a newt, THEN burn her. Oh, and make sure to bring a duck and some very large scales.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Lol, for a while I toyed with the idea of maybe going out with this Bosnian girl I worked with in high school. That would've been classic if the scenario you just mentioned happened with that seeing as all my friends to this day still believe I made her up and that she's imaginary.

Today...
Today I watched this lady in the parking lot at Wal-Mart. The reason I watched her was because she had lost her car and was walking her cart back and forth across the packed parking lot...it was quite hilarious and the fact that she just has this strange smile on her face the whole time made it that much better. Then I went and ate at some Chinese buffet and this kid stared at me the WHOLE time I ate, which was probably a solid 25 minutes. It was kinda creepy since he didn't really show any expression on his face, but it kept me company so I didn't mind.

Reveal Confessions, Secrets & Regrets...
Well it should make you feel uncomfortable if you flick through a magazine while you're taking a [cabbage] or whatever and ANYBODY in a magazine is looking at you, not just when you're 'finishing up'. Naw, I can have the door wide open and have a conversation with people while "having a sit down", but the moment I finish the business I shut the door because, well, it's just not right to have the door open for everyone to see.

The Metric System
It's not like the imperial system isn't based in logic, it's just that at the time it was invented (which I'm pretty sure was before metric/SI) they simply made it in a way that was most convenient for them. 100 links = 1 Gunther's chain, 1 Gunther's chain = 60 feet, which is also the same as 4 rods. 80 Gunther's chains = 1 mile 10 square Gunther's chains = 1 acre. As for why they chose 60 ft per chain instead of 100, and 80 chains per mile instead of 100, I'm not sure. But I do know that they had good reasons for deciding upon 60 and 80. Sure the imperial system is old fashioned, but it still works and always will work. Besides, it's not like you can't choose to learn both systems - hell metric is used for the more advanced science classes here in the US anyways as it's easier to do calculations with. So let me ask this, what reason does the US have to change? For the convenience of tourists?

How could life be better?
Really? I'd remove the need to sleep. We'd get so much more done if we never had to sleep.Sleep finds you if you are deprived of it, food does not.

How could life be better?
If I could change one thing about humans, it would be to remove our need for food. We'd still be able to eat it since it just tastes delicious, but it wouldn't be something we'd need to survive.

0.999...=1 and why people believe it is false.
If 3+3+3= 9, how is .333...+.333...+.333...= any different?Because .333... is 1/3, and 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1No, it isn't. Any number of threes added vertically above each other will result in any number of nines. One third can only be represented as a fraction.Every real has an exact decimal representation. People just get confused by the fact that not every real has a unique decimal representation.Note the word "representation". 0.999... represents 1, it does not equal 1.

Do your parents still treat you like a small child?
My mom was always paranoid about stuff like that too, and I live in a very safe thousand mile radius. Parents (specifically moms) have a tendancy to be paranoid because they only ever hear about bad things happening - it's not news/gossip if it isn't bad - then get the mindset that all these murders, rapes, and abductions are common occurances when in reality they aren't (at least not for your everyday average person).
-
Do your parents still treat you like a small child?
A large factor on how parents raise their kids is how they themselves were raised...and that's just one of the many possible reasons as to why there's no trust, but trust me - there is a reason.

Susan Boyle - She is simply amazing
She's not THAT good...it's just the fact that nobody expected it from her that's hyping her up. Her story is amazing, her personality is amazing, her singing is closer to good than it is to amazing.
