  1. Has anyone here actually seen the video. If you have show me where to go. I've been looking at all the news reports and I can't find it. :?
  2. I think I was in third grade when it happened. My mom was just taking me home from school because I was sick when she told me about the september 11th attacks. I got home and saw it on TV. But I didn't really comprehend how major of an event it was, and how it would affect the future of US foreign policy in the 20th century. But now I do, hence, my sig. I don't think that they would've gotten him, as the Bush administration has already prevented his capture on several occasions. Though there is a possibility that he died awhile ago and in order to perpetuate this sick war they're using a double. But then again, maybe it really is Osama. You never know...
  3. Actually, taking that 1 mil is $5, a partyhat can be sold for $2000. See, Rune Scape items are worth alot. They're completely worthless to someone who doesn't rl trade. :P
  4. None will see it there, and besides I didn't even know anyone posted this. Thanks for spamming this thread.
  5. Maybe, but why should I trust you not to keep the money for yourself? Talk's cheap. :P And besides, you're leaving out the scammer. All he's really going to do is go out and scam more people. The only hope is getting Jagex to step in. That applies to a_local_guy's first post as well. You always have to remember that there's always someone out there gullible enough to get scammed by him as long as he's able to. And you really can't just use the excuse that your scam will discourage him, because it probably won't (it might help to shout obscene insults at him after you do it, but that's really not in the spirit of the game, is it? ). I think I said it before, but this game is not designed for player justice. You have no way of affecting the scammer's life after you part ways. You have no way to give back the items to the right person, because you don't know who he scammed for those items in the first place. Those items might've even been his own, ever think about that? Jagex philosophy when it comes to scams is that its your responsibility to protect yourself from scams, lures, and hacks as well as its up to you to get yourself back together after being a victim to one. Neither Jagex or any sort of "Robin Hood" figure is going to help you out. One of the reasons for that policy is that implementing anything different would dramatically alter the game (sort of like putting in a popularity system or something stupid like that). Another is that Jagex is never going to allow one group of players to in effect "dehumanize" another group, no matter how brutally cruel when it comes to scamming people that group may be. My opinion here is similar to my opinion on the "Bullies" thread in the off-topic forum. No matter how aggravating someone may be, there is absolutely NO excuse to lower your standard of morality because of it.
  6. I don't think so. Considering the way they hyped up the GWD I doubt Jagex is capable of suprising us anymore.
  7. does that meen you have a scamming pure -.^ anyway, at the 3rd party client rule change riots *coughsscough* there were mods answering questions i asked about scamming scammer,s the mod just said "go ahead, i wont ban you :P" so i guess its ok :-k I sent in a query, and the jmod I asked said it isn't ok... :-k
  8. Yet another example of the police overstepping its boundaries.

Hey Ghandi, stop preaching your anti-violence to us. You have no idea what kind of world we live in if you think things can be solved peacefully. Try stopping a war with a hunger strike. Oops, you just died and didn't make a difference. Seriously, violence is the answer whether you want to believe it or not. Why else would we have wars? We've not out there killing each other for the fun of it.. 99% of the Earth's conflicts are due to greed and agression by at least one side. And even if you justify your attack with "he hit me first" you're still in the wrong.
  10. Ok, I switched hosts and the thing finally works. :)
  11. You could make a living off flaming Runescape updates. True. :P Thanks. :)
  12. Something like that would be too unreliable for me. I'd just use the abyss again. :
  13. Okay, if you believe that to be true (which I don't), I guess it can be justified. But then you would have to either destroy the item you stole so you won't benefit from it, or seek out someone who has been scammed and give it to them. And I doubt a scammer would learn from that. They need an actual punishment from Jagex. I know Jagex CS is bad but its the only viable option other than a player-run government, which this game clearly isn't designed for. Yeah most of the governments in the world need to be reformed and have all its head of state fired or thown in prison, but this is no excuse to think you can be the law.
  14. All you're saying is that the United States has a horrible legal system, which I already knew. :P Im australian. Oh sorry, it's just whenever I think of a sucky court system I think of the US.
  15. I think that Paul is implying that the Blood altar is coming out next month, so it's not that bad in any case. But still, why would you put a totally new runecrafting update you KNEW everyone thought was going to be to finish runecrafting before it? Sometimes Jagex defies logic. It's like they're trying as hard as they can to attract hundreds of players to their rants forum. :?
  16. They don't have to be ingame or reportable. For all you know there could be invisible monkeys running around Varrock making faces at people. :P
  17. You know, despite this, something tells me there's going to be a huge amount of rants after the update.

No, that's assault. It's defence when he's the one beating you up at that particular moment.

There's no exuce for stooping to his level. And I can't believe the teachers let you do that. You should have both been suspended. I ask you, what's so hard about punishing bullies in a more conventional way instead of resorting to such barbaric behavior? You could have given that guy emotional damage for life.
  20. Making my first 1k took me a long time. I mined copper and tin at rimmington, smelted it in fally, smithed it in thurgo's hut, and sold it at Port Sarim. It wasn't fun at all, but when I had my money change the animation to the one for 1000-9999 I felt so good. :)
