Levels since I last posted: I will get addy gloves soon, I'v been fairly busy doing stuff like working, searching for full time work etc so I fit in RS around that. But I do good a good amount of time on, I just spend alot of it staking.... so here are some pics of my triumphs! :lol: This guy had 7 attack levels on me, so he could whip me if we didnt kill eachother in 4 specs. Was good stakeing him. Respect. This guy had mage and range and, I got him not to have obsticles and we fought in normal place. As you can see I was well prepared for him, I had range for when he ice burst me and could snare him myself if I wanted. I ran up to him and started to dds spec, he puts on mellee protect and ice bursts me and runs back and starts ranging, i switched to range and dds speced him to kill him when i could run again. I enjoyed the fight but he didnt, he didnt want to duel me after he won a smaller stake after when he managed to range me with karils bow and won duel by a few hp. Great fights, I started off with a bad start, I hit crap and lost d long and d scim in first 2 duels. I staked d scim v d long and won for this: I did this again I won the d scim I lost so we were back to evan, I won every fight there after with me winning the next one by staking d long I won 2 rune baxes after so ended up 200k on him. He had to go to dinner after he lost the axes. When he came back he didnt want to stake more, but we got chatting and became friends :) He is similar stats to me, but with 45 def and 3 less strength levels. Huge respect. He put up a good fight and didnt say a thing about losing. I went pking after the next day. I was walking up to greens on world 18 to get some lvl 10 deep action when a pure attacked me, with mage and went in for dds spec, I ate well and turned tables by hitting him well and dds specing, getting him down to 10-20 hp on all the specs and following up with 3 more decent hits where he was hovering about 15hp. Then this noob tags me. I say "gay tagger" and he said "well everybody does it" Just as he said that I hit a 26 for the ko and he fell to floor, me laughing my arse off. The pker I was fighting before decides to pj me and I had to eat alot and pick up his full inv of food :P I picked up the dds and few pots and str ammy and attacked pjer back and he actually ran with mellee pray on lmfao. Tagger and pjer majorly owned! 2-0 to the honerable pkers methinks :D I didn't take a pic of the pure running with mellee pray on after he pjed me, I survived and attacked back. He had about the same stats as the pure I killed, with magic high enough to ice blitz. As you can see he blitzed me alot, he evan blitzed me and distanced when I went to attack him when he pjed me rofl. If I got the pic of him running with mellee pray on after pjing me it would have made my day :lol: I was in level 10 wild at greens unskulled. There was just a bunch of 1 itemers there not evan skulled, one of them attacks eachother and I dds speced him after he moved elsewhere, see... I didnt evan pj him, was a good ko but I didn't get the kill and he protected his ddp anyways. Anyways..... I saw this guy just in the trees and I pot up and attack, he retaliates and hits me, he gets farily low and I take out dds, I would love to have told you I made a great 24, 26 spec for the ko but that did not happen, I speced low numbers but he still didnt eat, I carried on speced till I was out and he was at about 6 hp and I hit a 4 and a 2 to kill him. I was shocked, he either disconected and had the misfortune that I attacked him when this happened or he went afk.... feel sorry for him but what can I do, free full rune for me I guess. I then went back to greens skulled, where a lv 84 in initiate attacked, I refused to run or tele and stood my ground but ended up worse for it as he was owning me. I sipped a pray pot when I should have eaten first and he hit a 33 to ko me, he was good... too good for my stats but goes with territory at greens, you get a kill here.... you get a good pker who owns you there.... I feel better that I stood up to him as I am developing my pking skill and I learny a little on how to eat when a barrage on hits come in from a whip and dds :P Thats the loot I got out with for the full rune kill, see the person logged in, thats the "friend" who I lent all my stuff to... worth 23m+. I lent before I went on holiday, he was raising magic so I was already lending him loadsa nats to raise magic with so I lent him most of my bank on his promise he wouldn't fritter it away and give it back when I came back in a week. What do I get when I come back.... I go onto rs and he's not on, but he doesn't come on for a week. I asked his brother where he was and he said "he's next to me lol" at that moment I just thought damn, he's not giving any of it back. I gave him a right piece of my mind on AOL and ranted at raved at him saying stuff like "the 23m was worth getting a piece of scum like you out of my life , it's just a detrement to the game that you want to play it, just go back to maplestory where you can get your 40 levels and think you own." My blood ran wild, he took my 23m, all that time I spent getting and now I was left with nothing but a empty bank and my stats. I decided then I had to get back the money, but first I would play on my pure to have some fun on rs again. So I made this blog and the rest is history. I can be a tough son of a [bleep] sometimes :P Btw he was on the whole time I was pking, but it gave me some steel I think in that I was pking well and ended up about 100k up after 2 pks and 1 loss against a guy with much better stats than me. Maybe he should make my blood run wild more often so I pk well all the time :lol:

Agreed. I will give thanks to Allah the day that we are finally able to punch people in the face over the internet. That will indeed be a glorious day. Sad to see you go, I'm actually slowly quitting myself... getting those last two Mage levels and doing some Castle Wars and killing some DK's, but other than that I'm pretty much done :? . All I know about you is youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re a respected tip it user and have 92/94 mage :P I myself have 90 mage and I intend on using it to pk with various styles, like with hybrid with melee or range. Will be useful when IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m pking at mage bank. IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m not sure if you like pking but you should also look into staking. You currently have 92 mage and is very good for mage staking (using blood barrage) You have the stats so IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m sure you could do quite well at staking. But when you have 94 mage it should be good that you have finished your goal. Enjoy the reward of 94 mage by having fun with ice barrage, using in whatever way you want. I am sure after the giddiness of your reaching the achievement you have been working so hard for you will feel down that you have nothing much else to do in rs. Well it is just about finding something else to do in it. Find some new goals to work towards, try some new things youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ve never done before and check out the new updates when they come out. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t hang around rs addicted playing the same hours but not doing much though, find out what you want to do after you get 94 mage and do it. Play in your free time and donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t neglect whatever else you have to do in real life and your time on rs will be more enjoyable. Well, though I agree with your philosophy in your ending statement, I must disagree with the support you added within the post. Getting a 99 on Runescape is nothing like getting the best level/etc in most other games. See, I'd be much more proud of being a level 50 Sniper on Chromehounds, which shows people I've got insane skill at Sniping, than to have someone know that I spent 1000 hours clicking on [the same #$%^] digital tree. Maxing out in most other games takes skill, and represents superior abilities that in turn garner respect. What does level 99 Agility say? It says that you just might have a little too much free time on your hands, and not many better things to do... Yea I agree with that, but most cases arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t so cut and dry. Everybody playing plays for fun and evan high levels with 99 stats can have a good work and social life. If he/she manages their rs time well they can achieve their goals in the free time they have. DonÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t make generalisations about all players with 99 stats as everybody has their own story of how they achieved their stats and listen to individual cases first before judging a generalised mass group of players. Well you look like you re-discovered a social life after playing rs too much and that can only be a good thing, you have carried on playing rs in your free time and that is a good thing if you enjoy the game. You look like your enjoying life, so you are an example to most players now on how to play the game. Good on you for breaking the spell of addictiveness gaming :D 2) Yea, completely agree, Rs should be played as a hobby and if you manage your time well you can have manage a good job, have a social life and play rs when you have free time to play it. 3) I agree again that people making sweeping generalisation generally are wrong, there is always going to be many people who are different from the generalisation made, so they arenÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t really a good thing to make. 4) Completely agree, they are a representation of the time you put into a skill, which you spend within the game, you lose that time spent if you lose your gp, so people are taking something you spent a long time working for. Yes rs is very addicting and time consuming, it is up to you though to prevent it overrunning your life. Spend the time you want to spend on rs and manage your time in your life wisely. Try and not spend an extra hour here and there finishing off that level, just finish at a set time and close rs, your levelling will be slower, but your social life a lot better :D On the main topic I am sad to see you go, you were a good rs player and got scammed trying to do a good thing for a friend when leaving rs. Sounds like a great goal. You probably think I'm stalking you but I clicked your goal in your sig and found some good stuff. How do you make a sig in your sig btw, I want to have 2 in there but I dont know the code to put it in. Anyways... sounds like your going to have some real fun playing back on RSC and going for legends. I started at about March 2004 and just missed RSC (I found it a listing of games, must be because it was new to RS2 so they listed it as a new game) but would have loved to found it from the start and played from then and play this game for 5 years :P You are doing very well and look like you are on track to achieve your goals, I would advice thieving bloods or if you want to go on a more challenging but very rewarding route... go for 85 mining. It would be a great goal and would leave you setup to get the big bucks in to leave your account financially setup for life. Looks like its a goal worth doing and you will enjoy it so I wish you every success and I will check back here to see how your progressing.

Sorry for the double post, but nobody has posted in ages, you can see the time difference from the last post... I made this on the official forums, I sat down and wrote this in word, so I copied it and posted it there and edited the post here. Hopefully with the more detailed description of what is the problem, what should be done and how these would benefit, more people will post, I certainly think it is a better argument overall.

Yea, I'v been barraged on my lvl 79 in wild, got 63 mage, got hit every time. On my 98 I have pked full ahirms when I didnt evan bring hides. I took off rune and many tangles failed. Yea he was using regular magic, but that shouldnt matter, if u have the magic lvl snare, tangle, ice blitz, barrage it will have same chance on hitting, depends on his magic level, believe it was 92, and my defence and magic level, I have 90 mage and many tangles splashed, enabling me to get close to dds spec him :P Free Ahrims and a buncha runes please :D

Wouldnt that mess up their combat lvl? I hope so then they would have to be nicer :lol: ) That would be so great! Of course the noobs who tag, pj, tele etc are obnoxious so the more respectable a pker you are the lower your combat level! This would be the best addition to pking ever! :D

oooo sounds fun, I might be able to russle up a costume by then or turn up in my cooking or fletching outfit or summin, I doubt I can go out and buy a halloween mask though :P But then again I might have a chance as they are 'sooooooooo last year' *flicks hair about* :lol:

Lmao they were not 60 - 80k. They were around 1.3-1.5m before the update, I remember going on the forums straight after the update and people selling that price, then people bidding higher and higher as soon as the update came out.

Nice article, I like the idea of putting skill realated items in a particular area of the house, although I wouldn't like Jagex just to move them there as banks are essential to skill to maximum effect.

I could say buy ess, dragon hatchet, rune boots etc before and sell after the update to make some major gp but I dont think thats the point of this thread as its too specific. I think I would have trained slayer. I had 35-40 on the first day and stopped cause it got a bit boring.... wish I knew about whips back then.... if I got to 85 slayer fast I could have bought a few rares and power train skills I like.

This solution does not just sort out any pesky taggers, not really the point of it to be honest. It is to make solo zone what it is supposed to be and people would pk deeper where it is more risky, needing better tactics than where everyone has flocked to because of this - Edgeville, basically dms. This would make solo pking more interesting and challenging.

Just come out and say it. You want to tag and pj because you are afraid of losing your items and cant fight a real fight. This is to PREVENT it because it ruins solo pking. If you want to team by all means do, but do it in multi like the wilderness was designed for. Oh and pjing is smart? Lmao, wait until fight is over and you might ko for it not to appear for you. Smart.

Thats idiotic, if you dont want to go for a 99 stat dont go for it, but levels is the bread and butter of the game. People have the desire to achieve 99 stats and if you play it you should respect others who have got a 99 stat, if you dont quit now.

I'm just going to post the things I would like a little different, theres only a couple since ya did such a great job :P Why is the percentages different? Imo should be same. The problem with this is like chaos gaunts it might not work on all spells like ancient magic, so every other combat skill gets a huge bonus and mage will be underpowered in wild. Err... you dont burn sharks at 94 cooking with current cooking guants, what will these do apart from put monkfish onto the gaunts list? This I think is not enough, jewlery is only a small portion of crafting and should extend to all of the skill. Overall I think its a great idea shown by the fact Jagex are going to put into the game :D Cant wait :XD:

The point of this post is ftp needs new mage armour as it is underpowered pking, he simply suggested mystic as it would suit the job and every power hungry p2per jumps down his throat cause he isnt paying the same $5 a month..... I am p2p and I think ftp should get a new robe at 20 mage, 30 and 40, match the other classes, maybe it doesnt need to be as powerful as mystic but it would be good for ftp pking. Ftp rangers got better ammo and who cared?

Yes we know luring isnt good, however its a form of pking and its up to you to work out its a lure and not fall for it, nobody can prevent tagging and pjing happening and it is ruining pking.

I will talk about two things, tagging/pjng and defence being underpowered. We all know the things pkers dont like praying, teleporting, tagging and pjing, but my suggestion is for pjing and tagging as these have no solution for the pker and is an element that has ruined pking for everybody. Prayer and telporting is solved by smite and teleblock, but what does a pker facing with a group in SINGLE zone do? Single zone is there for a reason, fight people one on one, but now the pker faces a group tagging him until he's dead without a thing he/she can do. This has RUINED the wilderness, everyone has gone to edgeville because of this, where you can easily exit if faced fighting this unfairness. It is rife in mage bank where whole clans stalk there for a lone warrior whose only choice is to run away and x'ing, which is against the rules. Right now another player canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t attack someone being attack, this doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t do the job however, when your opponent is eating, another player can attack you. This means a group will switch players before you get a chance to kill your opponent or simply to get each person in the groupÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s special in! This has ruined the wilderness and it is time for a change! My suggestion is for a timer to exist in single zone a counter should be put in where they canÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be attacked for 20 seconds to 1 minute after attacked; this would stop tagging as you can kill the person in this time and log out if in deep wild. I would think a good setup would be 20 seconds and an extra half second per wild level so level 55 wild would be 47.5 seconds. This would stop a team tagging you as they wouldnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t just stand there for around 40 seconds being attacked. This I believe would solve this problem to pking of solo zone being infested with groups who tag solo pkers. As a result of this everyone would not hug Edgeville, and pk deeper depending on their combat level and confidence and experience of pking. Thus solo pking would become more fun, pking deeper with more risk (if you go to level 30 you can find people 30 levels lower but also 30 levels higher) High combats would go to mage bank, where the solo pker never goes because there is only clans who stalk for the solo pker. Mage would be better as you can use teleblock effectively (in Edgeville anyone can run away out of wild because everyone pks in low wild) and barrage would be very effective solo as well (you wont get attacked for 20-45 seconds, now you can get attacked any time by someone else while you use your ice spells on someone). As you can see this would have a tremendous effect on pking as being able to solo deep would make pking much more fun. I hate attacking only people with 3 level difference, fight are boring usually as you only ever fight people evenly matched, pking deeper bring a risk as you can fight someone low or higher than you, and will take more skill to stand up to someone who is a higher combat than you. Also pures would not be so dominant in the wild as they thrive on fighting people their level with balanced stats who donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t hit as high as them, faced with pkers who are higher than them they will have a hard challenge and it would be risky to have 1 defence as a result of this. Defence would no longer be underpowered as it would be useful to not be hit over and over be a high combat. This leads me onto what I think would make defence less underpowered. I give credit to Jagex for making items such as the recipie for disaster reward gloves, rune defender, beserker helm, the update to the rune boots, fire cape etc. These are attack and strength boosting gear that pures donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t care about if they only enhance defence because if they just have defence stats they will just have low defence and fight with high attack and/or strength and get to wear low cost items whereas the balance pker wears more expensive items. This is why pures are so dominant, people like the fact that you donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t risk much with them, and high strength and attack are dominant in pking because its about hitting the opponent and being able to ko them. In a fight versus a balanced character he will hit him a lot but with not so high strength the pure can eat to stay alive and get high hits in to ko his opponent. This is so beneficial that everyone makes these and defence isnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t that useful for pking. The solution to this Jagex have done well to address, rune was made a long time ago and has decent defence stats, pures prey on people in rune because they have balanced stats and expensive gear on, the solution to this is to make stuff which has a defence requirement to wield. I listed the ones which have been done above and I simply think there should be more and for higher defence levels. Dragon armour is pointless to pking, nobody uses it as itÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s too expensive (or was, prices have gone down allot since start of RS2) and doesnÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t offer enough bonuses to not use rune. Dragon cannot be altered now but barrow armour is great. It is at a decent price now and you get a good enough stat bonus just to use torags body and plate. You also have Dhaorks which is damned good. Varacs and Guthan are useful for other aspects of Runescape (people do something other than pk??) which is cool. Karils has a decent weapon and the body and legs have a better mage bonus than black dragon hide, coif and set effect are terrible though which is why Karils is unpopular. Ahrims has better defence than mystic and better defence and magic than split bark. Very good, set effect reduces strength, not many uses in wild though. Doing similar things for armour for level 80 and 90 requirements would be good, make high defence worthwhile, if Jagex make like barrows armour defence would in no way be underpowered, if they had set effects it would greatly improve pking. There are many types of pure about, this is because at a lower level there is a a diverse set of armours and weapons, if 80 and 90 armours and weapons came into the game this would carry on the trend of making account specific for certain stats into high levels too with people having high defence for a armour they would want to use and attack and strength would be less important as set effects would be paramount. Maybe this is going over the top but armour is defiantly needed, and would change "pure making" - the making a new account with the best possible stats to pk with - defence could actually be useful to a pker.... I posted this on the official forums and used that version copied to here as I wrote alot more than the previous version written. This has more reasoned arguments and more detailed descriptions of how it would benefit the wild. This I believe would solve the problems with pking, please discuss, if you dont like please state clearly for discussion purposes. No flaming. Post to discuss or to show your support. Chapter 1 : Agree, nobody should listen to the flamers saying "get a life noob" but you gotta know yourself how much is too much rs. Chapter 2: I still find it strange that the wilderness has no rules, I consider it a sport and every sport has clearly defined rules that enable the best to come out top, we consider teleporting, praying, pjing etc "nooby" because either the worst dont suffer the consiquences of the wild or they gain the benefits unfairly. I think Jagex should prevent these from happening to enable it to become more sportlike and people have to fight to death. It all balances out, if you have evan stats like Jagex seems to believe a player should have there is maybe 10% chance of a ko, 90% of the people who fight run, but what choice do most have, I know 90% will run so there is no point in staying to death every fight or pking will become extremely unprofitable. If it became these rules you would really know how well you do as you would need to win the whole fights more than you lose them. Chapter 3: Ancient magic is obviously very powerful but not overly so, fact is only the ice spells are going to make a impact in the wild. They are used at mage bank effectively, people know about this and maybe hybrid with at least hides, however everybody hates it in Edge, if you ice barrage many setup as mellee will pray, tele etc and flame you about using it :? The fact is, its a easy thing to not for a melleer be overpowered by a mage and that is to bring hybrid with range, mage is supposed to be strong against mellee and it is. All it takes is 50k worth of range equipment and he wont have a problem against that mage any more and the mage now has 250k worth of runes and 200k if in mystic and 2m if in ahrims. It is not overpowered it is simply a case of bad pkers ranting. Chapter 4: Err ya.... everyone here knows that.

Got loads of levels... missed loads of screenys :P Heres one I did get 2 magic levels from pest control heres current stats and I bought obby cape and rune boots, so since theres a new equipment page... Finally got some of Recipie for disaster done today got 4 dudes done: Need to do about 6 subquests for Lumby guide, murder mystery and grow my kitten into a cat for Evil Dave, get 70 cooking and 42 agility for monkey and do heroes and some others for the knight dude.
