  1. It's a skill, quests are going to require it and use it just like any other skill. Bleh, it's a minigame, not a skill. Points: [hide]- I lol'ed IRL at the Elfinlocks scene  She's the #1 unluckiest NPC going. - The multi-character control was really good, I liked that. - Puzzle rooms were ok... #2 was harder than #3 to be honest. - BOOM SLUG GOT PANCAKE'D. Kinda disgusting but slightly satisfying. - What the f*** with Lucy at the end, way to finish on a depressing note Jagex :([/hide] 1) It appears on the list of skills in the skills menu. 2) You gain experience points and it levels up following the same formula as any other skill (only going past 120) 3) It is included in the sum of your skill levels 4) It comes with skill capes, that incidentally also trim other skill capes It doesn't matter if you personally feel it is designed more like a mini-game or a skill, because it's officially a skill and will be treated as such. There's an inverse correlation between DG level and percentage of people who view it as a minigame.
  2. It's all part of Jagex's master plan to make all the legit players quit, so that they can save money by cutting out updates. No legit players = no need to update, amirite? It's a perfect world for them. A game where all the players are bot accounts means no more whining, just quiet tranquility.
  3. I hope you like reborns. Reborns and Gulgea are the bane of warpeds for me. Gulgea wrecks my [cabbage]; I panic so much on those pray switches.
  4. I don't know what jagex would do to stop a further botting outbreak. Nothing because they don't give a [cabbage]. Because this game is so simplistic, it's incredibly easy to create scripts for, so even if Jagex did care enough to try to do something, I don't think they would be able to stop the problem. At least if some of the bots are doing their training in a controlled, instanced environment it'll cut down the population hoarding resources. At least, marginally.
  5. Well, I've been researching various FO3 mods and discovered it adds so much to the game. The mods I am currently using now allow you to go beyond level 30 and exceed the 100 cap in your skills. It's nice.
  6. Contrary to popular belief, his magic attack is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's irritating because it drains prayer points, but I believe it can't hit above 400. So unless someone is a complete derp and makes him mage several times, making him mage isn't the end of the world. Obviously it's important that you do your best not to make him mage, but that mistake is more forgivable than getting dragged or blown up.
  7. If you're in a team, inform your team that you're laggy and they'll be more than happy for you not to participate in Thundy. As for problem 2, click further behind the pillar. I have *never* had this happen to me.
  8. Wait, there's a discount today cause its the first day? Wouldn't jack of all trades be the best buy now (15k normally) Everything BUT JOAT is affected by the discount.
  9. I'm having a hard time deciding between Reverence and Sure Footed.
  10. This is something I have noticed sometimes too. The same high-level player (actually bot) who I have reported multiple times still just keeps playing. Jagex really needs to get better at banning bots. It isn't that they suck at it (which is undeniable) as much as that they just don't give a [cabbage] anymore.
  11. Think of DGS as boot camp for Dungeoneering. The ranks are not there to be nice or to be your friends (although if you perform up to snuff, they are generally friendly and you can have a lot of fun). They are there to assist you, to train you in the art of efficient dungeoneering. That is their number one priority, and your number one priority is to listen to them and correct your mistakes. There will be times where they are unpleasant, deal with it or quit. DGS is only meant for the best of the best, or those who aspire to be such.
  12. It doesn't have to be awesome. Once you cross the line of offering in-game equipment with bonuses, you will get players with their panties in their bunch beginning to rant. The ornate katana was even crossing the line for some, partially me included. If the new equipment slot offers bonuses, some players will be mad. However, since JaGex is offering this to all new and excisting members, I don't see this being much of a problem besides from people who want more than just stat boosting equipment or cosmic outfits and emotions. They probably won't have stats at all - at least not the ones released through the loyalty program - because it looks as if emotes are being offered for the same currency and possibly the same amounts of points, and I should think there's no chance that emotes will boost stats. On the note that I partially brought up above, did they ever say that the aura slot would be used exclusively for this? I'll have to go back and read the newspost I guess. EDIT LOL nevermind they do say it right in the newspost =D> EDIT2: Okay all previous statements retracted! Emotes being the "equals" of auras as far as rewards go would point that everything is cosmetic, but only being able to obtain auras from the loyalty program, I can't think that they would have an equipment slot that has absolutely no bonus-giving items... What they should do (or be doing) is make the auras from the loyalty stuff completely statless and then in the future release other auras through quests and whatnot and give them bonuses compared to necklace slot items. This. Unfortunately, Jagex is money-hungry in addition to being completely [developmentally delayed]ed, so they'll probably release a berserker-ring equivalent aura tomorrow.
  13. It's be just like Diablo 2 then. Everyone bots in that game, so there's no point to play it in multiplayer mode unless you're planning to play over a LAN with people you know.
  14. Ditto. I have played since '01 and put in over a year of game time, yet I really don't give a [cabbage] about the game anymore. I hope it crashes and burns because of what they've done to it. When they chose to bring back Free Trade, they also chose to completely sell-out. They no longer care about bots, scammers, or bug abusers. Have you tried doing dangerous PvP lately? More likely that not, you'll meet a bug abuser. And what's worse than Jagex turning a blind eye to the cheaters is that they aren't even making an effort to fix these humongous bugs anymore. Even the quality of the quests they put out has taken a nosedive. It seems like every new quest they release is ridiculously easy and can be completed in less than an hour.
  15. The health bars are off... So they are boosting their health up so they can have more lp lost, so they max really high? They're abusing a bug where your stats get boosted in the Fremmenik Sagas, which allows them to Dharok with a much greater min/max HP ratio than what should be possible.
  16. This, so very much. It's a lesson I learned a long time ago with gaming-- the reward is in the journey, not the destination. Once you reach your goals and/or become godly, almost any game will stop being nearly as captivating. So if you cheat to max your stats/gear/money/etc in any game, you might as well not play at all, as the end result will be the same: At first, it'll be like "woohoo I am GOD! I can afford anything and nothing can stop me!" Then after about an hour, it'll become "Ehh, what should I do now?" And five minutes later, you'll arrive at "What was the point of this game again? This is [bleep]ing boring." This is especially true in open-ended games, like sandbox RPGs and MMOs. Goals drive those types of games, and without goals, you really find yourself at a loss for what to do. That's a major flaw with Fallout 3-- you max your level way too easily, leaving just exploration with no real sense of accomplishment.
  17. You've asked repeatedly, I think that's what the problem is.
  18. Messing up twice on TF isn't rage-worthy, but you should voluntarily sit out the rest of the kill if you mess up twice. After two [bleep]-ups, chances are your nerves are affecting you so you'll likely mess up again. Also, if all else fails use the first-person-shooter approach: blame all your mistakes on lag :shades: Everyone has a bad TF now and then, so don't let it get to you. I've even seen the great Tui [bleep] it up multiple times  Depending on who you go with and if you are all in Skype, that can actually be a pretty entertaining experience. I know I totally lose it when someone screws up mimes. I don't know why, but I find it overwhelmingly hilarious.
  19. People who use AHK are rapists and moral nihilists. DGS does not condone nor promote the use of botting programs such as AHK. Jagex has no sympathy for it either. I got a 2 weeks ban for doing it, starting yesterday. I was following the 1 input 1 output rule @ teaks but I guess it doesn't matter to them. WAT Jagex are a bunch of communist [bleep]s.
  20. AFAIK, geyser titans offer the most exp of any blue charm familiar. However, last I checked you get a LOT better exp/gp by using Moss Titans, as Earth Tallies are less than 300 gp each.
