Hmmm I don't share particularly the same view on this but I agree that in some sense we see a little more game hating. The only true effect that RuneScape machinima might have had in any of this is that it allows the bashers a louder megaphone, thats all. Just because we're seeing more of it now doesn't mean the levels of it have become worse than before. In my opinion, the big-time filmmakers like Tehnoobshow, should not be criticized for partnering up with affiliates like Machinima.com. Its actually a great inspiration to RS machinima makers to see one of their own being recognized for a change. For a long while, RS films weren't recognized by the bigname machinima sites, and the really innovative RS filmmakers had to build up a following from scratch. However, I believe RS machinima is still not as recognized as it should be and that the more growth the better. To me machinima is an artform, it is not to be confused with bringing up or crashing down the popularity of a game. Its just a way for someone to show their creativity through a game they love :smile:.

Hello again blog readers! As I sit here wearily smithing at a godforsaken hour of the night...I discover something very amusing. Apparently cats can snore! My cat has decided to rub it in my face the fact that not only is she a nocturnal creature but she beats me to bed every night :rolleyes:. I have to admit it is rather cute seeing her all snug up and blissfully snoozing in her bed. Apparently Jagex has finally given us RSOF avatars (p2p only sadly). I rustled up to the photo booth and got my mug photographed. Its nice to have a face on the forums now but I can't help but find my grin a little cheesy looking: *Curtsies* Another interesting tidbit added today is the rather ladylike (or should I say unladylike), curtsy emote. No worries gals, we can still bow just like the fellas, and they can return the favor and curtsy right back! Hello dear blog readers and welcome to my new Tip.It blog, hosted on none other than - THE BLOGS TAB! It was hard to say goodbye to the Blogscape of old but one must eventually embrace change - especially good change! I have done a sort of slightly updated version of the first post on my old blog as the first entry of this new blog. I've changed my real life picture to a more current one (notice I'm still sporting my favorite necklace however :thumbsup:). Forum Changeover: Before I get into how I've been smooth sailing - I mean err smithing- I'll give you little scoops of experiences I had during forum transition. Staff was going stir crazy as we waited for the changeover to near completion. Out of this craziness I ended up giving pet names, namely to a bud of mine from TET, Den Usynlige. What was this name you may ask? Well it was...DENZY WENZY! Poor Den took it very well and the staff has persistently been calling him this name all week :lol:! No good deed goes unpunished however, and I was branded with this custom rank till changeover day: Smithing: So that about wraps it up for forum transition fun, now onto smithing updates! During the changeover I jumped 3 levels in one shot (I'M A RUNE SMITHER NOW BABY!) This as you may recall was thanks to some hardcore Living Rock Cavern mining. I have already amassed 13k gold bars out of gold ores smelted from scratch. Sadly I sold the entire stock for some safety cash but rest assured I will save up the entire amount of gold bars I smelt from this point on to see my achievement in notified form! My mining rank as well jumped considerably to the less than 1k mark and I'm headed for 15 million xp quite soon! This has been truly a unique way to level so far and I don't think I'll tire of it anytime soon. So thanks Jagex very much for this highly useful update!!! Lady Shahdie here, pleasure to make your acquaintance! Some who have glimpsed my signature know I was one of the crazed hopefuls dreaming of 99 mining. Well I did manage to dream my impossible dream and achieved my epic goal! The dream doesn't end here though... I have decided for my next test of fate to wield my hammer and forge a path to the glory of 99 smithing! Below you will find a little about myself, details about my RuneScape character, and pictures of my levels along the way. [hide=Shahdie in Real Life] I am a 20 year old college student. I am currently attending a Cal State college and majoring in English. I have future plans however to go to Cinema school and get an education in the art of film making. I always had a passion to tell stories and I love the way film can bring a story to life. I am a total cat person and owner of a mischievous Maincoon but recently adopted a dog into my family. Where'd You Hear About RuneScape? A friend of mine at school mentioned it once. I became intrigued by his description of it, so I started researching it and decided to sign up. F2p or P2p? I spent a long stint during my RuneScape career as a pure F2P player. While I said in my previous blogs that it was my desire to obtain membership when I personally possessed the meansmy first exposure to it was thanks to a very special gift from a very special friend (Kietaro <3). I now possess members again thanks to securing a reasonable income as a teachers assistant at my university. Members is quite an exciting new experience but at the end of the day, good old F2P will possess the most dearest place in my heart. Favorite World? Randomness is my mantra. I have no favorite world or home world. Why the Air Tiara? I've been getting this one alot lately so here's the story. Ever since I was a noob on RuneScape I always wanted a piece of clothing that would define my look (apart from the terrible looking bronze armor). I would scavenge for chef hats or shop at the Varrock clothing store and wear the items short periods of time before dumping them. One day as I passed the Falador air altar I saw a silver object on the ground that attracted me (similar to the way a child is attracted to "Oooo shiny!") I picked up the tiara and immediately fell in love with it. Even when I matured from noobdom and reached levels where I could wear more appropriate runite gear, I could not bear to give up the tiara and allowed it to be the signature item that would define my look. I certainly love how it goes quite well with my Saradomin now. Other Stats? Though I am truly committed to smithing at the moment, I occasionally take a break from my hammer and casually level other stats...(please don't poke too much fun at their noobiness :oops:) June 29, 2007 (Beginning of Blog) Current Stats Why 99 Smithing? There were several 99s that peaked my interest during my journey to 99 mining. Despite my old adage that "I'm not really a fighter," combat was a great way for me to take a break whenever I needed to and I'm quite sold on going for 99 def some day. However, I'm still a skiller at heart so I still decided against a combat 99. There were also the other gathering skills such as fishing (catch fishies at a faster rate, yes please) and woodcutting (not as a big a fan of wc however it still has its merits) that are impossible to be purchased. However, at the end of the day, I'm truly a Mason (no pun intended one of the clans I happen to be a member of) of Runescape. And what is a Mason without the ability to wrought amazing pieces out of precious metals? Lvl 82 Smithing ACHIEVED!!! Achieving Level 82 Smithing Screenshot Ah finally! I got my rear in gear and achieved 82 smithing!!! Feels good to get another level up message after ages and ages. I'm weighing my options at the moment on how to continue leveling. As tempted as I have been to take the slow methods and make some moolah, I'm anticipating beginning some other 99 attempts in the future (my lips are sealed right now :P) and I don't want to dilly dally. So I'm going for the methods that will choke my bank but make my leveling a tad more speedy (considering how college will make me extra busy and give me less play time). This may be my last buyable 99 for a long time. I feel eager to get 99 smithing still because it as it has been a goal I've desired since I began 99 mining. Here's to my future leveling progress and long journey that still awaits me! Cheers...

Well some of those server reboots for graphical glitches are necessary believe it or not. I discovered the other day that my notebook's graphics card was one of the several NVIDIA/ATI cards that crashes in High Detail. While its doesn't bother me to switch to Standard Detail for the time being, picture people who load their games in High Detail on a PVP world (or other dangerous situations). One untimely crash in the middle of combat and BOOM...there goes your lovely armor and loot :shock:! Thankfully I was sitting comfortably outside my house portal when this occurred.

Hey all, blog update after ages! I may get a spot of smithing in soon and hopefully get back on track. Still itching for this goal so I will take all the time it needs to get it :). At the moment I had the urge to do another RSMV. This was one of the most complicated RSMVs I did to date. I had a blast finishing it and hope you all enjoy!
