I think a nice pair of yoga pants can be just as good as a skirt sometimes.

Assume a neutral setting.

Christie has gone up against unions and won, I don't expect there to be a tougher fight than that.

God forbid he ever tries to sell media he's created. There you go again, actually respond to the argument please. How about you respond to my argument about intellectual property rights? I spend years programming something, and as soon as I license it to one person, it automagically entitles every punk with an internet connection to my work? No way. When people that "can't afford it" pirate software, "can't buy right now" becomes "won't ever buy."

Fight #8 Aftermath: At the start of the fight, both Cyrus and Swift agreed to fight by Anchorman rules (Rule Number one: No touching of the hair or face. And that's it). It was the cat-fight of the century (even more so than Zuckerberg vs. Assange). Both Cyrus and Swift began clawing at each others arms and torsos. Neither one seemed to gain the upper hand, until Cyrus landed a kick with her cowboy boots straight into Swift's torso, digging her spurs in. Swift fell to the floor, gasping for air and bleeding out her shirt. Swift began crawling towards the edge of the ring, slowly and steadily, as Cyrus began working the female tweens in the crowd to a craze. Finally, Cyrus went in for the final kill shot when all of a sudden she began having a flashback and started to hallucinate that there were thousands of spiders crawling all over her. As Cyrus started to claw all over herself to try and get rid of the spiders, Swift eventually regained enough strength to bash Cyrus' skull in with an acoustic guitar, thus breaking the only rule. Cyrus died moments later, with Swift emerging victorious. Unfortunately for Swift, her open wounds came into contact with Cyrus's blood. One can only imagine the diseases she may face later. Swift wins, 16-14. Your PS3 was likely introduced before the HDMI 1.4 spec, in which case you should notice no difference as it won't have the hardware to utilize the extra mandatory data lines. The only real thing you can do now is test them, and I'd be surprised if you found a difference.
-
Any HDMI cable saying they meet a minimum spec will probably meet that minimum spec. The only difference between a Monster brand cable and a dollar cable you might find on Ebay is Monster is a brand name, and is a "designer" cable (cooler looking insulation, Monster logo on it). If you want any 3-d capability, make sure you buy a version 1.4. That's the first version that fully supports 3-d. As a general rule of thumb in technology, the bigger the numbers mean the better the specs. There's a handy chart on wikipedia if you're interested in what's different between the specs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI Anywho, Monster has been parting consumers with their money for a very long time. The best part about buying a $10 cable is that you can buy 6 of them for less than the price of the "premium" stuff, and at least one of them is bound to work as well.

This view is out of place in the point that was trying to be made supporting abortion.

By pirating media, you're not respecting others rights to their intellectual property. You're acting as if all software is available to you at no cost, you're acting entitled.
-
You're not really helping your case. You've yet to counter my argument so I'd reason that I'm doing well. You might not have enough money now to buy the software, but let's say you have some luck and win a lottery, or a rich relative dies. Now that you have a ton of money, you're not going to buy their software because you've already pirated it. Either way it doesn't matter, you're still acting entitled.
-
Well yeah, I'd prefer to be an isolationist as well. Hopefully the [future?] president will learn from the mistakes of his/her predecessor.

nah, its actually to stop used software sales and, in the case of games, so that they can re-re-re-re-release it 10-20-30 years down the line as all the previous legitimate versions will nolonger work as all the drm will no longer function. meanwhile the pirated versions free of all that stuff will be fully functional and still circulating. as a legitimate customer you should stop making piracy any of your concern, thats the company's problem, then you start demanding by not giving them custom to stop with these measures that only harm you so that they have to start looking for other methods that dont negatively effect you. Let's assume this is true. The only thing they get to hide behind is trying to stop piracy. So the pirates are giving them an excuse. Either way, pirates hurt the end user.

All the value in the item is the experience gained.

And the U.S. is still occupying Germany from WWII. what Occupying a territory 10 years after conquering it is nothing. Anyhow, going into Afghanistan in the beginning was justifiable. And even if it wasn't, the rule of thumb is if you make a mess, you clean it up. The U.S. should've done that 30 years ago, but better late than never?
-
You're acting entitled because you've decided that you're going to use their software just because you want it. DRM is because of pirates. Freeloading scabs make legitimate user experiences horrible.
-
Aren't we entitled. Fat chance you'd tell them to pay for it, you'd more likely seed it for them. EDIT: You know why piracy ticks me off so much? It's not only the fact that part of my job is writing software and inventing things, but also the fact that pirates are the reason for all the horrible anti-piracy DRM stuff on computer games I'm interested in, all the stupid anti-piracy warnings on the movies I buy, and the reason I can't easily sync media on all the computers I own. You, and others like you, are the reason I have to put up with all that [cabbage] even though I do everything legally. FTFY.

Maybe you shouldn't be a bartender.

That's the point. They're selling it at a bargain price.

I'm not trying to be harsh, I'm frustrated with the amount of half truths put out and the attempts to obfuscate language. It seems my summary still holds true, but you can add in "change the definition of person" to the pro-choice argument.

Isn't that high very brief though?
