  1. A Local Guy, it says right there in Mod Jon H's post on the forums that asking them to advertise is also not welcome (i.e. illegal). Even if the clan leader asks them to advertise without autotypers, making the request was illegal.
  2. This means that mutes would be removed because they technically aren't doing anything wrong (Despite the fact that they blatantly are  ) and so at worst it would just inconvenience the clan members for less than two days. Furthermore the mod in question would be demodded for power abuse. So what we have is clans being slightly inconvenienced and the mods that try to do something about them punished. While I'm sure some users here would challence mods to prove that they aren't in it for the status, they would be losing their modship for no reason as the clans would just be slowed down for under two days. Otherwise I would love to do that. I will without a second thought once doing so can actually do reasonable damage to the clans. While I appreciate your attempt to cite your sources, you should also read them: These autoypers are in violation of jagex policy, as are the clan leaders who asked them to advertise. They are certainly muteable, and hopefully bannable.
  3. I absolutly disagree. The last piece of Dragon (the claws) far surpassed other weapons in terms of KO potential. Likewise, a Dragon Pick would be not dead but rather infinitely useful!
  4. Until the PMods start going after the most obvious offenders such as W2 GE spambots and merchanting clan leaders, I think status is the only answer one can seriously give to this topic. If PMods are looking to give purpose back to their ego-inflating crowns they can do the following: 1. Go to world 2 Grand Exchange and mute all the spambots using ILLEGAL autotypers to advertice merch cc's. 2. Enter the merch cc's and mute all those who are actively encouraging price manipulation, somehting which Jagex has said is against it's rules.
  5. I'm not normally one to call out player moderators over this or that, but you have to admit that this is the kinda thing where their muting powers are extremely useful. Just go visit W2 Varrock and bust out your mutehammer!
  6. You think that's bad? I'm about to get 99 attack and I havn't gotten a new weapon to wield since 75.
  7. When we say buyable what is meant is cash being exchanged for chams. It doesnt mean busrting lobs, it doesnt mean playing soulwars.
  8. Woah that's news to me. Can you point me towards any Jagex confirmation of this?
  9. I think the next major update SHOULD be a new skill or a fix to the PvP system, although i EXPECT the next major update to be a novice quest, a couple graphical reworks, some obscure upgrade to the system that they swear will help us with yet unnamed updates to come, and of course nerfing some content which users enjoy.
  10. Least admirable is fletching and cooking, most admirable is Quest Point cape, or if we're only talking about 99 capes then it's Summoning followed closely by Slayer and Mining
  11. On the first debate, I think it should absolutly be released, and the dragon "set" completed with all deliberate speed. That said, assuming it is introduced as a monster drop, it should not be the primary loot drop of said monster. Rather the situation should be like that of Tormented Demons where we have Claws as the primary loot drop, and dragon plate as a secondary drop. I think this would be the best way to introduce it. Personally I'd like to see it come along with the long awaited Dragon Pickaxe (something that actually would be useful) and/or Dragon Crossbow.
  12. as well as Dragon Medium, which was originally a unique drop to it. that said, I throughly enjoy DKs and am usually disappointed by my inability to find others beyond a couple of my friends who like killing them compared to the sit & click mentality of massing on GWD bosses or sitting and poking the corp with zspears for 10 mins.
  13. Agreed. Although if charms were sold from a shop it could prove a useful moneysink for the already cash-saturated economy.
  14. Now I could be wrong, but isn't LSP Gained = Drop Value / # of people? Therefor it would seem the folks in masses would recieve significantly smaller LSP value than those on "normal" sized teams?
  15. Jenny! :-P I have to half-agree with that statemenent. Merchanting DONE RIGHT generates more wealth per time than combat or skilling. Merchanting (as well as combat), when done poorly, generates minimal, if not negative, revenue. As for skilling being in the basement of the profit hierarchy, no arguments there. Double nats aside, skilling is not particularly profitable at all.
  16. It happens. The most important things to remember in times like these: +On average, clues are worth doing. +Your odds are the same as everyone else's +If the valuable loot you're likely fishing for were more common, it wouldn't be valuable!
  17. Please remove Dagganoth Kings from this list, as the safespots have only moved, not changed.
  18. Thats it exactly. They showed that they were against this when they opened up the pendant of armadyl to players who took the evil route in Temple of Ikov. Dissapointing tbh, as those players never earned a pendant, but thats how the game is going i guess.
  19. Woah I think I could have charged my Dragonfire Shield off a couple of those flames... But seriously, it's quite easy to tell what's being merched without even using the database - simply look in their cc's!
  20. I think you severly underestimate the potential of the new game engine. I don't think I underestimated the amount of new content it contained (zero) Yes, it was an upgrayedd, but it was a good one. A very good one. It'll be necessary for what they will *hopefully* give us in the future. Like ME3, Myreque, and other stuff. With emphesis on other stuff hopefully. They still havn't made it up to PK'ers for removing the old wilderness, and despite the improvements to autocasting mage still needs some serious help, not to mention this new skill that is supposedly headed our way...

  22. ...and here's the new update For all the flashy talk and 3 seperate news posts, all it really contained is this: 1.) Magic is now more noob friendly to use. 2.) Certains Staves now cause +10% Magic Damage 3.) Your stable junk is no longer stable.
