Exactly You guys obviously haven't been back to f2p in a long time. I have spent the last 4 months as an ex-member, and I find that it's a lot easier to concentrate on skills, because there aren't so many distractions. In p2p, I could never get anything done, because I just thought, oh, I'd rather be at cwars. If you want to get high skills then stay f2p. It's far easier to concentrate and you get way more respect. FYI, I am f2p (though I wish so much that I weren't). Also, I suggest that you read this. What I'm getting from you guys is that you would rather gain the respect of people you will never meet and get some levels that don't matter at all than have fun playing a game.
  2. They might run out of ideas, which I doubt, but there's no chance they'll close the game.
  3. I'm f2p, there's not much fun to be found, but if I were a member, I would only get enough experience to do the things that I consider fun: quests, minigames, pking, etc.
  4. If you tried to do change the shape, it would just break apart. And you know what happens if it does...
  5. Once, a college professor, who was an atheist, decided to take a vacation to the Fiji Islands. As he walked through a village, he came across several natives who were all reading identical books. Upon closer inspection, he noticed that they were Bibles. He chuckled and said, "I see that the missionaries got you, too." The natives looked up. One of them said, "Do you see that cliff?" He pointed at a nearby bluff. The professor nodded. "That was where we would throw off our enemies to kill them. Do you see that boulder?" He pointed at a boulder that sat on the ground a dozen yards away. The professor nodded again. "That was where we would crack the skulls of our enemies. Do you see that firepit?" The professor tried to say something, but the native but him off. "That was where we would roast the flesh of our enemies. If it weren't for the missionaries, you would have been eaten by now." The professor stood there, not sure how to respond. The native simply continued reading his Bible.
  6. That is extremely sexist. Also, I really didn't like the words "Zamorak was dead". A god shouldn't be able to be killed by mortals. This is not because I am a follower of Zamorak.

There's no reason why you should stay f2p. Become a member.
  8. Make some more text that is non-dialogue. It needs more descriptions and transitions. Yeah, and use quotation marks.
  9. Not anymore. She'll use her long-range firebreath. With mage and range, it's best to not use a safespot at all, as her melee attack is weaker.
  10. The prologue really shouldn't give away the whole story. And because the whole thing is just dialogue, I don't think that the story can really go very far.
  11. By the same logic, if you told a rational 18 year old Christian who has believed creation all his/her life about evolution and the big bang, there is almost no chance that they would believe it.
  12. It doesn't matter whether God plans the decisions or randomly generates them. It still means that he consciously divides the population into believers and non-believers each time he creates a batch of new people. Part of God's omnipotent capability is the ability to do anything. Surely letting people make their own decisions falls under that category.
  13. So many people have posted about free-will/predestination that I don't know who to quote, so... I think there are two possibilities. 1. God, being the omnipotent and omniscient creator, decided what every person's decision will be. This, as has been pointed out many times, leads to the conclusion that God is cruel and we are just puppets whose strings He are pulling. 2. God, being omnipotent, has the power to grant people free will. He still controls most of the things that happen, but occasionally relents His control. Or, He hasa huge list of possible outcomes that might or might not happen, depending on one's decision.
  14. Where do you get those sigs? I couldn't find any wwpd pictures with google.
  15. Bump. Reserved. I was in a patch of writer's block*, but it's all better now! I should be posting more soon. *This is a lie. The only reason I didn't write more is because I was too busy watching TV all day.
  16. To pass time. I've played other MMOs with better graphics and a nicer communities, but I quickly got bored of them, as their quests are pathetic. As I'm f2p and did all the f2p quests, there's nothing to do, but the quests caused me to become attached to Runescape more than the other games I have played. However, if my parents let me play some p2p MMOs, I would quit RS in a heartbeat.
  17. [hide] Its almost equivalent to slaves working for our chocolate. These are just people trying to not die. Literally. You take it like they purposely farm gold to make your life, playing runescape, harder. They have no economic freedom. Ever been to china? Its not like they can pick up any job when you're competing for even the lowest rages. If you're going to hate anyone, hate their bosses. Have you ever been to China? Its not my fault they have no hopes for a future and can't do anything better than stealing from an online company. They are breaking the law by selling gold. Any sympathy is wasted on them. They are just taking up space. How can you not have sympathy for them? They're doing this to survive. This isn't a hobby or something to do in their spare time, this is what they do every day for slave wages so they can scrape together a meager paycheck and afford food for their family that week. And yes, they are breaking the rules, but it's a necessary evil. It's like a poor man stealing bread for his family. Sure, it's bad to steal, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter. And, tbh, you're the one who seems to be taking up space... I'm not sure if any of you have realized this yet but they are breaking the law by stealing Jagex property and selling it. dude... i am sure there are counterfeit ppl out there other thing this that are making fake drugs, fake handbags, fake etc... okay... which r making and ripping off everyone's money on a larger scale then this...what i am saying is that breaking the law by stealing jagex property and selling it isn't like a new thing... and it shouldn't be viewed as a first. If you think about it, almost everything in the wrold is pretty much exploited one way of another to make money. and the solution? y of course its our fault to begin with, how about boycotting the stuff that these fakers are selling so that they go out of business...? of course it hasn't gotten to the point where its serious...(when it gets serious...we will all find out, yes thats right, Jagex will announce that they will not continue the game because there are too much farmers.) :ohnoes: :ohnoes: i am 99% sure the rs population will prob do something about it ... [/hide] China is pathetic... they don't deserve to be called communist... However, their economy is rapidly improving so soon our gold farmers might have better jobs.
  18. This thread is hilarious!   . P.S. One of my favorite things to do is to bend paper clips out of shape and then snap them into little pieces.
  19. All's fair in love and war. 'Nuff said.
  20. Chinese money is yuan, not yen. I should know, my parents come from China. I can speak Chinese, too. The farmers aren't forced to do it, and they can get better jobs at a factory or someplace. Don't feel sorry for them.
  21. They will contact you, but you can just go down to "account management" and click on "appeal offence/ban".
  22. With rune long, you might hit 1 more, but at 63 strength that'll only be about a 6.5% difference, while the scimmy is about 16% faster.
  23. Next thing you know, someone will try to hold up Al's Gun Store.

Better technology, better standard of living. Third world countries will eventually become modernized. Cures will be found for cancer, AIDS, etc. China and India will become superpowers, surpassing the US and European nations. The economies of Arabic nations will collapse as demand for oil drops, and they will have to rely on tourism. Global warming will cause many problems, but temperatures will begin to decrease after a couple of centuries.
