  1. Leveled my temple trekkers to 99 in one day. It was all good. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some time to dung my first chaotics, easily got three small C6s done in 18 minutes.
  2. Still waiting for the scientist outfit. Come on, Jagex!
  3. Oh, I actually felt this month was quite lacklustre. Well, we'll see.
  4. I saved 19 spins for halloween, got a few during double XP weekend and just now did five daily challenges, and the last spin gave me the ghoul mask. I'm pretty happy, I must admit.
  5. This year's Halloween event is a community-led battle between the forces of evil - Team Heinous - and the forces of good - Team Righteous. Exorcise errant spirits and collect globules of ghostly goo for your chosen side to decide the fates of Varrock and Falador. Contribute enough and you'll earn a set of monk's robes and an ectoplasmator, which gives extra Prayer XP when fighting ghosts and spirits! Haunted Houses (Free-to-Play and Members) It's that time of year again: the veil between worlds waxes thin and restless souls wander the night. No-one's happier about that than Brother Heinous. This mad monk's planning to collect the essence of these ghosts to fuel a curse against Falador and Varrock, and he needs a horde of unscrupulous minions to help him gather ectoplasm for his vile ritual. The only foil to his foul plan is Brother Righteous: a Saradominist monk who's also seeking ectoplasm to strengthen the magical barriers protecting the two towns. This is where you come in. Once you've reported to your chosen monk in either Falador or Varrock, listen out for the global announcements in your chat window every 2 hours, indicating spectral incursions across Gielinor. When this happens, ghosts will spawn in houses across the world. They're easily exorcised with a right-click and reduced to ectoplasm, but you'll have to find them first! Speak to the monks for clues, work together with your friends, and get hunting for those haunted houses! Bring back enough ectoplasm and you'll not only increase the score of your chosen side - which will be tracked throughout the event by our Community Team - but you'll also earn points to spend on robes to show off your allegiance to Team Heinous or Team Righteous. The robes' colours can be switched on the fly, for the morally flexible among you. Collect the whole set, and you'll earn the right to buy an ectoplasmator. This strange device will give you Prayer XP for each ghost you kill, much as a bonecrusher would for a creature that drops bones. You can only claim the item while wearing a full set of robes, of a colour linked to the side you're claiming the item from: wear the unhallowed version to claim it from Brother Heinous, or the hallowed version to claim it from Brother Righteous. It's going to be the side with the most support that prevails, so get involved with the community to further your chosen cause! The RuneScape Community Team are running dual campaigns for the duration of this event: Mod Sabre representing the cackling hordes of Team Heinous and Mod Mike the dewy-eyed defenders of Team Righteous. Visit your thread of choice to pledge your support. Mod Wilson How to start seeking out Haunted Houses Speak to Brother Heinous or Brother Righteous, in either Varrock Square or Falador Park. Listen out for announcements every 2 hours and seek out ghosts in the houses of Gielinor. Speak to the monks for clues. The ghosts can only be seen from close up, and will only spawn in buildings in built-up areas. Team up to find them! Requirements Free players and members alike can participate and claim the cape, but you must be on a members' world to claim the full set and the ectoplasmator. In Other News From Friday, there'll be a range of spooky delights available on the Squeal of Fortune. These include creepy candy that'd give a zombie a sugar rush, a ghoulish mask that can turn you into an incorporeal entity, and much more! Solomon's selling an infernally amazing range of armour and weapon reskins inspired by that hellacious lord of the Abyss, K'ril Tsutsaroth. If you like your gear spiky, dark and just plain spectacular, indulge in a set or two at Solomon's General Store. Random events will no longer activate in the game: If you are in an event upon log-in, you will still need to complete the event. It is no longer possible to obtain points towards random event costumes and emotes. You will still be able to spend any remaining points for the immediate future, and we encourage you to do so. Another method of obtaining the costumes and emotes will be introduced to the game in the near future. All music tracks linked to random events will be automatically unlocked. Patch notes:
  6. I know one maxed 13 year old too. He's been playing for many years, though. And hooray for page 1000! I seriously hope Suomi eventually gets to 200M all skills. Anna mennä omalla tahdilla, Suomi! :)
  7. Oh yay, gonna get level 94 summoning because of this!
  8. Delrith! Please! Delrith! I miss him :'(
  9. I thought they were going to update the SoF less at the moment.
  10. Some of the points said by Jagex (gonna keep updating this) - No big updates this year is partly the fault of the Evolution of Combat - The XP lamps have been checked very carefully, they are so rare that they don't really give any big advantage - The big advertisement of Squeal and Solomon has been too much, so they are trying to tone it down - The squeal and Solomon don't take much development resources - IVP hasn't really affected the amount of microtransactions, and microtransactions have been discussed for about four years in Jagex. - They are trying to advertise more players to RuneScape - Runefest 2012 is NOT going to happen, because they want to focus on game content. Hopefully in 2013. - Squeal money is going to RuneScape, not transformers. - RuneScape 3 mentioned! - RuneScape was in terminal decline from 2007 to 2010, 2011 was the first year they managed to stop the decline. - 80-90% of people are using the Squeal of Fortune. - Squeal of Neptune was the most used promotion of Squeal. - Solomon will not have game-enhancing items. - Squeal won't have exclusive high gear items - Jagex does think it's wrong that you have to pay extra money besides membership fees to get Solomon stuff, so they are trying to find new ways to give loyal members the items or Runecoins. - Updates coming further along the way will be teased about later. - Jagex doesn't want to raise membership price anymore and doesn't want to have immersion breaking ads in-game - Horses/mounts are not coming any time soon, if ever.
  11. I used the necklace on summoning and agility yesterday. So yeah, Jagex may deplete 'em now.
  12. My friend, kokki3 is there. I started a few weeks after him. So, yeah.
  13. I didn't catch it, but I think some people in my clan said it's revealed that Zaros is the god of Manipulation? Well they said that he liked to spy on his followers and do some tricks with them, but nothing past that.
  14. The live broadcast didn't really give much of anything away. A bit disappointed at it.
  15. I haven't even claimed my Mad May necklace yet, so if we lost the charge, then boo!
  16. Nyriki Tapio is a gnome on a mission to hunt the biggest of game - plutonial chinchompas! These rare beasts exist in isolated habitats, and have just one weakness: food! Nyriki will show up periodically at hunting spots across Gielinor and ask for your help in capturing one of these ravenous rodents. Once you've met him, he'll take you to the chinchompa's lair. When inside, you'll need to capture soporith moths - the chinchompa's food of choice - and feed them to the chinchompa in its nest. Once its belly's full and its cheeks can hold no more, the beast will fall into a slumber, and victory will be yours! You'll get XP for feeding moths to the chinchompa - which are found flying around the cave, in shaking branches covered in pupae, and attracted by brandishing one of the protea flowers native to the chinchompa's habitat - as well as an increase in your score. Higher-level moths yield greater rewards, so be sure to grab the best ones that you can. The game ends after 20 minutes, or when the chinchompa falls asleep. When you leave, you'll be awarded competence points, which can be spent on rewards at Mieliki's store in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. If you leave before the game ends, however, you can still visit Mieliki's store to trade in your current point total. Best among these rewards are tickets, each granting you a catch at the Tapios' private hunting grounds. Grenwalls, pawyas and polar kebbits (a high-level version, needing box traps) are all yours for the hunting. You can even invite your friends, using a communications device within the hunting grounds. Other rewards include snape grass, flax, swamp toads, and a cosmetic protea flower, wieldable outside the D&D. Nyriki can't do it without you, so let the fur fly! Mod Ash How to Start Hunting Big Chinchompas Find Nyriki at hunting spots around the world, or speak to Mieliki in the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Requirements You must be a member. No level is required, but capturing better moths requires a range of increasing Hunter levels. Some private hunting grounds are only available to those who have started Regicide. In Other News All 4 tiers of the 'Tracker' aura are now 30% off! We've rebalanced the Runespan to give the greatest rewards to those who actively seek to get the most out of the content. Those hunting down the best nodes and participating in the D&Ds will now enjoy the highest XP and point returns available: Point gain from siphoning from creatures has been reduced. Nodes move more often, and take longer to respawn once depleted. Siphoning from runespheres now yields twice the rune dust that it did before. There's also a mouse-over tooltip on the runesphere icon, revealing which floor it's on. The XP gain from handing in rune dust has been increased to 25 XP per dust. 17. No it does not. All 4 outfit unlocks have come and gone. There is going to be a 'bonus' unlock in early september if you missed one of the 4. If you missed more than 1 of the 4 your still utterly screwed for getting it all. Thank god I only missed one, then!
