Thanks for the reply. Didn't lag on lava floors, and actually when I finally beat the boss (and many times when I almost won), I did nothing but attack the boss. Tried killing the rangers for like 10 of my trials just because the Tip.It quest guide told so, but it actually worked out better when I just mauled the big bad guy and let the small baddies hit me as much as they wanted. Had no problems with lava either, since I don't really have any lag (normal ping on servers is 58ms.)

I have excess 20M I can use on my gear. This is pretty much the gear I use: Down low the melee gear (mostly in use), in the middle my ranged gear (Missing snakeskin boots, but yeah) and on top my mage gear. I had to try the Brink of Extinction for over 20 times to get the boss down, even using overloads, turmoil and prayer renewal + super prayer pots + rocktails. I would love to get the better lava cape (and a second Fire cap for FashionScape), so I really need suggestions on how to get my gear to actually work. It seems that at least when maging I didn't really get any damage done during Brink or in Fight Caves. My stats can be seen on my sig. Oh yeah, and money is not really the issue. I can get tens of millions more if needed, but I still don't want to bend epic amounts on Nex gear if it's not worth my money.

It's just that I have a winter break from university next week and week off from work next week. It was the ideal time for me to quest! :(

For all of you having problems with bestiary on Chrome, you must have wooden PCs. My 2011 computer can run it totally smoothly.

The latter does not (and will not) prevent the former. I know, I was just trying to summarize my post. I mean that 100% of the old skool players I personally know prefer the RS of 2013 to RS 2007.

It sure has been nice following this discussion all over the Internet. First the nostalgic ones among us were 100% sure they would get the required votes from people who will re-sub just to be able to vote. Now they say there are not enough members to pass the vote and rage. I've played since 2001, and I remember people hoping for the right-click menu to be removed (Before that it was just 2 commands per thing, for example attack/examine or use/drop). Every change will provoke criticism and increase nostalgia in some of us, there's no denying that. But I have over 50 friends who have played this game for 10+ years, and not a single one of those guys and girls is going to vote for 2007scape. So I think the highest tier is possible but it's not going to happen because some of us want to see what RS will become, not what it has been.

What gear and inv are you using for Dom Tower? I'm using Zamorakian Spear and mostly melee everyone, not sure if it's the right approach.

I've failed it twice now, both times were 85% plus. Failed it at 98%. 8)

Meh, never got around to doing Dominion Tower. Now it seems like I have no choice. :F
