Another reason why rares probably won't go back up is that their entire purpose as an investment is gone. Now people can buy any item and hope for it to go up a small amount.

It really depends whether money coming into the game > money leaving the game or the other way around. If money comes in, rares will go up. If money leaves, rares will go down.

I remember when I used to play like that. I miss being able to freely hand around stuff like that, but eventually, for me, it got to the point where too many people were asking me for stuff, many continuously and it just had to stop. The final step was when my irl friend lost a phat of mine when he asked to just borrow it to wear. Post RV, I was never involved with much of the rs community so I've been playing more or less solo, once in a while doing something with an old friend, but I understand your pain. We've seen the "new" generation of players: immature beggars, people who are only obsessed with their wealth and levels, a much less friendly community. But what will happen with the next generation, people who don't even get to trade freely or help another person? It feels like every step jagex takes is against the community feeling. Through making the game easier and easier, they've attracted a younger and younger audience and now they are going to seal the fate of the community where you could, several years ago, start a conversation with another person in the game and enjoy it together.

rs does have real memories. I don't think I'll ever forget the time when I called runevillage home.

I personally see my online friends as the stepping stones between complete antisocialness and the irl friends I have now. All in all, it was worth it just for the online friends I made.

I think what he said (my friend went on the site and told me the same thing) is that the farmers actually go onto *your* account and get money for you that way.

Never actually died to a low lvl monster, but when I was 100+, I nearly lost a whip (20m at the time) to a cave crawler. Was walking back to shilo without realizing how much the poison did, and I managed to bank and get an antipoison two hits from being killed.

I didn't want to sift through 7 pages of posts, but are dark beasts worth killing? I already have 92 slayer, but barely go on rs. I'd just go on for a little bit to kill them to see what I can get. The one major problem I have is that I don't have mournings end part 1 done and don't really feel like doing a ton of quests.
