  1. Impressive. But I'll won't take the chance... er, where's the TIF Bunker again? Edgeville dungeon?
  2. It's only $20 for me to get the 2 packs off d2d, so Ill go that route. Just need to wait for my next paycheque on Friday.
  3. How much is it to just buy it all off Steam? I'd check, but I've yet to download the Steam cllient.
  4. +1 for reposting instead of editing.
  5. Stopped reading when it mentioned Jesus.
  6. I'm level 10 or something. Can't figure out how to change my motto though.
  7. And gets an infection, resulting in his arm being cut off. 64 HP
  8. Which one do you think is better? I haven't kept myself current enough to tell you, to be honest, but I had been an Avira user for the last few years, and I feel it fell down and that it isn't a good antivirus anymore, and hasn't been in a while. I have Avast on my desktop, Avira on my old desktop (which I will be uninstalling soon for another one) and MSE on my laptop. For now I feel that Avast and MSE are pretty equal. Not really sure how you can "...feel it [falling] down..." According to AV Comparatives [PDF], not only did MSE get the slowest scanning time, but it missed far more pieces of malware when compared to Avira. In fact, about the only thing MSE scored well in was the number of false positives. In scanning speed and detection, Avast trumped both, but increased the number of false positives. Don't trust such benchmarks, they tend to favour one AV over another by the nature of the tests. Also, MSE is the lightest of the three when active scanning is turned off.
  9. Just a quick point- That hard drive is a 6gb/s model, which the motherboard doesn't support, so it'd run at 3 gb/s. Seems Samsung's spinpoint f4s have gone up by about $40 since last time I checked, so I can't reccomend that. I've heard good things about Hitachi's drives, and they have a pretty cheap terabyte drive with a 32mb cache, which is kind of like RAM for your hard drive. It's only $15 more for 3x the capacity. Go 64-bit or don't bother building, and you might be able to go without the optical drive for a month or two if you don't use game disks. As others have said, an extra hundred or two would go a long ways towards getting you a better computer. I noticed that, but it was the cheapest 320gb drive anyways. The Hitachi cheap 1tb drive is only 5200RPM iirc, so would be a bad choice for a boot drive.
  10. Can I play with you guys if I buy the expansions off Direct2Drive? I already own EU3 complete, and I'd rather not buy it again.

I want, even if it is just a photoshoop
  12. Yep, that makes it better now doesn't it? Except what defines 'intent to injure or alarm a person'? We already know how ridiculous Canada's so called Human Rights Councils are, how long until some crazy activist group starts trying to have people arrested for a 'hate crime' comment they made in a heated debate online. But I guess someone needs to fill those shiny new prisons we're dumping billions into. The worst part is this is just the tip of the iceberg. With the planned Digital Copyright bill and deregulation of ISPs, I fear what the Canada of 2015 will look like. Welcome to America 2.0, please leave your privacy at the door.

It's going collapse soon. Once it hits the currency volume cap, which is approaching rapidly due to the large number of people mining with 3 Xfired 5870s, it will fall apart. It may have been a good investment if you got in it last year or earlier, but mining is impossible for the standard person now, and buying in would be stupid at this point. I knew about it about 6 months ago, but I never could get my computer to connect to a Mining Pool.

Trying to learn how to program. So far, I can't wrap my head around anything other than HTML though.
  15. Cod 4 had an epic story line. It was fast paced, intense, and maintained a decent level of realism. MW2 ruined the flow of the story completely, and threw logic out the window. MW2 logic summary: Standard training mission in Middle East -> Undercover operation in Russia -> Cool I get to kill civvies. This sure is edgy -> Suddenly everyone in a favela has advanced weaponry -> HOLY[bleep]RUSSIANINVASION ->Cool hostage mission that feels like cod4 -> HOLY[bleep]EMPLAUNCHEDBYONEROGUESOLDIER -> Suddenly in Georgia, apparently arriving by teleporter -> HOLY[bleep]SHEPARDSABADGUY & depression because ghost was a boss -> Suddenly in Afghanistan, this teleporter sure is cool -> Shepard is a high level commander, but feels the need to run through caves -> DOMESHOT [bleep]ES
  16. Prizerebel is a scam from my experience. Offers rarely credit, and there are plenty of stories of peoples accounts being terminated right before they have the necessary points to redeem a prize.
  17. I guess it depends on what you consider bloatware. I consider it to be any program that wouldn't be there on a clean OS install. ASUS is definitely better than HP, which preloads Norton, trial games, and a whole bunch of crap. My friend's HP lappy came with a preloaded trial of WOW, some popcapgames type site, a 60 day Norton trial, and Yahoo (might have been ASK) toolbar for IE, just to name a few. Sager, on the other hand, sells laptops with a clean OS install plus drivers, or if you choose to purchase your own OS, just the driver CD.
  18. Yeah, this might get rid of the one or two bot here and there, but the bot companies (Which are the real problem here) wouldn't hesitate to develop or even buy readily available software which could beat captcha. Captcha is not the way to go. Especially when you can buy 2000 capatcha-solves for $2.
  19. And then realizes how sad that is. 69HP
  20. The 12 hour clock system. I have screwed up alarms countless times because of it. It has no advantages, other than it's kind of awkward to say seventeen o'clock. People who get mad at you for not wanting to go do something, and assume you're making excuses even if you have a legitimate reason for being busy.

It took me about 30 seconds of staring at that picture to realize that it was a sideways pic of an oven, not some weird upright gravity free microwave. Now I want mac and cheese too :/
  22. That dell looks nice, although note the GPU is a workstation GPU. If you're looking for something with more power for gaming, look at Sager. You may have a hard time finding a retailer that ships to the UK though. Nothing these days is bloatware free, because otherwise some idiot will buy it and complain that he cant burn DVDs cause there's no HP DvdPro crap
  23. Can't into counting? Was there one aimed at me?

I'm in Canada too - there is one level above university streams, which is the equivalent of AP classes. Very few schools offer them though. (That stream is called the "IB program") Ah, then I wouldn't know about it since mine doesn't offer it. :P I don't think Canada has a standard. Here we have Honours, specialized and general, except for in math where we have Honours, Pre-Cal, Applied and Consumer. Honours is just taking Grade 10+11 in both semesters of Gr. 10, then taking Gr. 12 in Gr. 11 and University 1 in Gr 12. I'm in honours Chem; I was in math but I dropped it because I didn't want to mess up my Gr.12 mark and not be able to get into engineering.
