  1. Android apps are simple to develop, you need osX (Not necessarily a mac though) to make iOS apps, apple takes a good chunk of your sales, and there's a chance apple might of flat-out rejected an app. It's not that hard to just use safari to look up prices though.

  5. Also a good tip if you have people in your class at school who think its funny to shut computers off.
  6. Chantards... they're everywhere. While we're on this topic, I just got off a 3 day ban for trolling /k/ with "inane /v/ garbage". I normally just go on /g/ and /k/, with a bit of /b/ if I need a laugh. I miss /r9k/, it was like an intelligent /b/ with actual interesting (albeit likely fake) stories and discussions.

  9. Just opened incognito in chrome, which I never use for RS, and all the results are the same. The only surprising one IMO is 'how to scam _____'
  10. Yes on both points. Today I laid down for 20 minutes before school, and ended up missing the whole morning. On the same topic, American time. I've missed so much school because of me setting the alarm to PM instead of AM.

That's the car I want to get in a year or so, but they go for about $5500 here. They usually go for $5,500 -$6,500 around here, too. which is kinda why I want to pounce on it I'd go for it. What color?

  19. Ouch, you have an alienware with integrated graphics? And try another browser, be it Firefox 4 or 3.6, chrome, opera, or even safari. IE is a memory whoring, unstable, unsafe pile of binary, and there is no reason to use it short of downloading another browser. Firefox 3.6 has some skins that make it look like IE, if it's the cosmetic part you like.
  20. Use Alcohol 120%. Thumbs up for stealing the program that lets you use stolen programs. On this topic, people who .rar torrents. Great, you cut the filesize down by 10%. Just don't expect me to keep the file and seed it.
  21. Do you believe in the legitimacy of patents? Not directed at me, but... Tech patents are the plague of progress and only make the life of the consumer worse. Earlier this year apple got (or filed for) a patent for the letters on a touchscreen phone popping up when you press them. Would you say it's fair that I have to suffer misspellings on my android just because apple implemented the concept first. How about the company suing jagex because they own the patent for text appearing above a characters head in game. Tech patents, especially software ones, are ridiculous.
  22. I've been playing Runescape since I was 8. Only once weekly mind you as I didn't have a computer till grade 5. Anyways, you should feel bad that your dad is wasting $1200 a year on software just so you won't play a game. Try working out a plan with him where you can only play 5 hours a week, or only after you do your homework and go outside for a bit. As for getting rid of the program, I'm assuming it's sophisticated enough that you can't uninstall it or stop its process. What you can try doing is finding its folder in /Program Files and deleting it, but I can't promise that won't cause more problems, and likely won't work either.

That's a strange choice of parts. IMO you will get much better value for money if you go with a sandy bridge build. i5 2500s are the same price as i5 760 here, I assume it would be similar wherever you are. Then you could save some money by avoiding the 'specially designed' 1155/1156 ram and sticking to 1333 which will give the same performance, so then you can afford a decent graphics card. Just my 2c anyway. The special RAM thing is just marketing [cabbage], any pair of DDR3 sticks will work on a SB build. But I do agree, if you can get the 2500k for the same price it's a better option. You'll also get a lot more out of a 550 for about 20 more, but if you can't order from newegg, the 450 can handle most games at reduced settings.

Snowed last night while I was at work. I went out the dumpster and was like 'WTF is this [cabbage]'. Too bad it didn't happen during the day, it was perfect snowball snow.
