  1. Because buying the best ores costs money, which one could easily save by mining them. I see his logic. For me, having to buy ores with which to make armor is a pain in my backside. If it's true that higher level pickaxes give more ores, I need to bind me a pickaxe... =/
  2. What's the best possible fletching exp? I'm looking for a good balance between speed and price, and a profit is most preferred. Please and thank you.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't fill a jug on a well, can you?

You can only keep 1 item and 1 ammo (runes, arrows, etc) You have to bind that item and you can keep that item as you move on. Everything else will disappear at the next level. Therefore, sell what you don't need to the smuggler for money to use on other supplies. Also, it should be noted that you can only bind up to 125 of one type of ammo.
  5. Full lumberjack, flame gloves/ring, inferno adze, master penance horn, strung rabbits foot, and of course, woodcutting cape. (I was wearing it when I took the picture for my signature)
  6. This is how my spring break ended... :( I was doing really well... first try ever, and made it there with 5 full super restores, and 2 full brews. I killed 2/4 of the healers, went to get the third, and lagged... Rage.
  7. This. If I can see coins from their kill, it means they didn't want them... in which case, they're mine.
  8. [hide] [/hide]Note the pm "My luck, like my money, dryed up." Then BAM, dragon skirt... :| Then BAM, visage... :wall: I declare hax.
  9. It's an object associated with the new activity "Shattered Heart". More information can be found here.
  10. Why is your private chat "loading"? I've never noticed it on my account, maybe I haven't been playing attention... Mine does that a lot. Usually if you scroll your mouse over it, it'll switch back to saying "friends" or w/e.
  11. I got about 10 from 80-99. I've always had ridiculous luck with birds nests, anyway. If only I could get some of that luck in the form of monster drops... <_<
  12. You make amazing points here, and even made me question my reason for playing the game... which has been questioned to exhaustion already. But, after reading your (very well-written) post, I think I find myself unique. I was once one of those people who played for the most money or the most exp/hour... until I realized... it's not fun that way. Then I quit. Just like a bad relationship, if it's doing more bad than good, I leave. After about a year, I decided to give it another go, because I had a realization that it wasn't Jagex's fault that I wasn't enjoying their game... it was mine. Now I'm back, and I find myself incapable of making more than 20m at a time. I'll get 10m, and lose interest in the game. For me, the fun is in making money from nothing. So I'll get 10m, and spend it all. Then I'll watch it grow back into something noticeable. This is the way I have fun in Runescape, so that's what I do. [This was more of a self discovery post than something contributing to a cause.] Regardless, you provided an enjoyable read for my breakfast. Now off to class...
  13. First one ever... [hide][/hide] And also, most expensive drop to date.
  14. I'd go for an all around character. I've never been big on pvp, so I see no reason not to have balanced combat stats.
  15. I thought it was cool. I liked the managing part. Beta for a new minigame, anyone?
  16. Just 3m "Just" <_< Meaning, the clue reward was just ABOVE 3m. :-| Ahhh. My bad. I thought you meant "just" as in "only". The total of my past 10 clues isn't even 3m. :wall:
  17. I'll bite. Assume I can make 1m an hour.
  18. I remember why I hate herblore! If Serum 207's are the cheapest exp, it'd be a 2m loss from 54-60. :wall: Thanks for the swift reply. I'll also edit the first post to clarify that I don't want to clean herbs for the levels.

I've always accepted having a low herblore level (54), because it's expensive, I dislike training it, and I never really saw a use for it. I've changed my tune a bit recently, and have decided to start training it again. This being said, what is the best (best = cheapest) way to train herblore for each level range. Ex: 54-60, 60-70, etc. Please and thank you. Edit: I'd much prefer to not clean herbs for levels, so take that into consideration when replying.
  20. After several days of nothing but slayer... I can haz cookie?
  21. I don't think the price would surpass that of the Saradomin Sword. The saradomin sword is only worth so much because it is the fastest strength training weapon in the game, if whip got the update, then it would no longer be. Let me clarify: I don't think the whip would surpass the current price of the Saradomin Sword. Obviously the ss would become obsolete, and the price of it would drop drastically.

  23. I've been very hesitant to consider barrows for a few reasons. First, they give bonuses for full sets, but that means I'd have to use that set's weapon, and you already stated that whip is good. Second, it's an item that degrades and is quite expensive to repair. Lastly, there are four sets for me to choose for since I'm a melee fighter, and I'm not sure which would be best. Well, I'll tackle each of these concerns one at a time. Full set bonus: Really only useful with Dharok/Guthan's, but only in certain circumstances. Dharok is great for hitting high when you have really low health, but only in a controlled environment. To be honest, I've never owned a piece of Dharok's... I see no point. Guthan's is good for healing with no food. On slayer tasks, this can be really helpful, but since you have to equip the spear for the effect, some would argue that it's not really worth it (also, if you get it, only equip the spear for healing- still use whip and def the rest of the time). Once one can get a Bunyip and Enhanced Excalibur, Guthan's has very limited uses. Verac's has a prayer bonus that people find useful, but as with Dharok's, I've never owned a piece. Expensive to repair: Not really... if you're training slayer, you should always wear black mask/slayer helm (<-- which is something I forgot to mention), so you would only have to repair the plate and legs. After 15 hours, at a 100% drain, that's only 170k gp. That number can be reduced further by repairing it on an armor stand in a PoH. If you can't make 170k in 15 hours, you should probably be training something other than combat... I've found that the profits of training slayer far outweigh the loss of having to repair barrows armor. You'll save a boatload on food. Which set to own: This was probably answered in the first part, but if you didn't figure it out, I would go with Torag's or Guthan's. It all depends on how you train/what you're training on. Personally, I'm in love with my Torag's. It's the cheapest and has the best defensive bonuses. But since I have access to a Bunyip and Enhanced Excalibur, there are few situations that I actually need food. It's all up to you, and if you have the money for it, it would probably be wise to invest in Guthan's. My personal recommendation is Torag's, though. I hope I've helped. EDIT: Nooooo, Killer, you beat me to it!
