Probably, that guide is written for 100- combat. If you don't get it first time, try , try again. Think of it like the Fight Caves. Why are you using a spottier cape?

I'd say get attack first for speedier training, a couple defense levels won't make you last that much longer.

Flesh crawlers in teh Stronghold Of Security for melee. They're low defense, hit 1 as max, and auto-attack. For range, It depends on whether you're picking up or not. At flesh crawlers you an fish your own food, trout/salmon lasts a while down there.

If you've got a ton of money, they're worth it. If you have to "scrape" it together or tehy cost over 20% of your net worth, its not worth it. Just use snakeskin boots.

I see you like doing boss monsters, so I'd recommend attack and defense, strength doesn't help much against boss monsters. Especially on the mole, attack is critical.

Magic Longbows used to be better, I don't know how they are now. I kinda gave up on fletching at 94.
