Why? Str increases str by 3, accurate by 3 attack, def by 3 def, controlled increases 1 to all. So if you hit the monster less then 50% of the time, use accurate. Otherwise use str. Don't bother with controlled or defence; food invalidates it. I wouldn't use the number 50%. You have to calculate in your max, accuracy, ect.

When they ask "What is the best ...", they are asking for the best "...", not the best "... for defence." DFS for boss hunting, GS for boss hunting/pvp, defender for training.
