Well, I DO know Jagex ripped at least one picture from Wikipedia.com's RuneScape article. It was an animated picture of a girl with full dragon on, and a fire cape that was flowing. Now, however, that picture is gone, and replaced with something else (I forget what, I'll check later), so... I think Jagex stole it, unless Jagex was the one to upload it, which I doubt highly. I'll stick to Tip.It :P

My advice: Go for it, but be cautious. Don't take anything very valuable into the wild, just take your spade, sextant, chart, watch, clue, some food, and teleport runes/Ectophial, a prayer potion, and boots of lightness. Use the CTRL key option for running, and keep your inventory screen on the logout window, ready to click logout, incase a white dot comes. It may just be a lost low level, but better safe than sorry.

Jagex's New DIDJA KNOW'S(Message of the Week)
Mc_comix_yo replied to n64jive's topic in General Discussion
You do think highly of yourself don't you? *nods and smiles* Wanna kiss my warrior ring? OWNED. I hope Warrior Ring isn't slang for something.. I'm just saying I don't think Jagex really coppied your exact idea Leesters. I don't post much but you do seem to think you're important posting blog's about how you lost all this stuff. People die on runescape everyday.. It was nice to see you didn't cry and slit your wrists over it. Leester's has made many rich with his Barrows Guide, and is a nice guy, from what I've seen. Personally, I look up to him. Hurrah for Leesters! *Kisses his Warrior Ring* Anyways, back on subject. I think the new tips, while some may know them already, are nice. It proved the Fire versus Range debate, I suppose, and, despite how I already knew the 100% rate for iron via superheating, I still enjoyed the tip. -
I am constantly getting repeat clues. The night before the big update, the same clue (A Bag Belt Only, He Asked His Balding Brothers?) 3 times in a row. Yesterday, I got the anagram for the Tree Gnome General Store guy 2 times in a row... I keep getting repeat clues. It's easy, but sorta lame. I guess it's better then deep wild clues, with that new monster attracting PKers of all skill levels.

Uhhh... Isn't that a lot like the signature.... *Cannot recall name* has? With a guy wearing a santa, picking the lock, showing the inside of the wall, and on the other side, showing lots of riches? I think this is sort of a rip off of it :?

how many trips was it before you got your first barrow item
Mc_comix_yo replied to lukerwood's topic in General Discussion
Hmm... Let's see... I cannot recall the exact number, but somewhere near 35, I got my first item... A Torag's Helm. Better than nothing, though I did invest 2,000,000 gp into the Barrows, and got about 1,000,000 back, from runes and the armor. I haven't gone back since, but I itch to go... Who knows. -
Very good story, I enjoy it! I cannot wait for the next chapter.

Smite Prayer + Prayer Guild alter (Or any other alter for that matter) = Way to much prayer exp. I have 52 prayer. At a rate of 2 exp per second, I would get 104 prayer exp, for standing there. I would then pray at the alter, turn on my prayer, and continue talking to my friends. AFK prayer training.. It's so easy I don't even want it, and I support AFKing. Also, what would happen if I turned all my Strength, Defense, and Accuracy prayers on (Or at least 3, since you can't turn all 9 on at once), protect item, rapid heal, and rapid restore? 14 exp per second, 728 free, easy exp per minute, 43, 680 per hour, and over 1,000,000 prayer exp in a 24 hour day. That is a bit much, no?

Well, even though I don't believe this should be added, it could work, just by 2 things. First of all, it could be magic. An "aura" of sorts could surround you and protect you somewhat. Second... It's RuneScape. I've blocked fire with my shield, when the dragon attacked me from behind... And if you want to be really technical, I should never be hit, because the weapons that attack me never actually touch me, they stop about 5 - 10 pixels away
-
That would work, but I was also thinking that, say, you had 1000 points. At 1000 points, you could go to the merchant, then get a Sailor Hat (Or any other part of a "Sailor" outfit. Have the full Sailor set be at 10,000, or higher, and maybe have thinks after that, like a pirate set (Spotted (Red/White) Bandana, a lether vest (With no shirt underneath, like Verac's brassard in a way), some green pants, and a cutlass (Either have it be a joke weapon, with 0 for stats, or have the power of steel.). After that, possibly get a Merchant outfit, which would be the outfit that the Merchant wears, and have it be an insanely high amount, only for the people who are obbsessed/good at it.

I have a question. It may be in there, and I just missed it, but what do Points do? Are they just useless? Do you trade them in for fancy exclusive-clothing? Trade them in for experiance? Trade them in for money? What are they for? :? That suggestion was amazing, I really enjoyed the creativity in it, plus the pictures really helped too. You made me want that minigame SO BAD :P

Aww, shucks. :( This update is so unfair to people who can't count! But seriously, I do think this was necessary, because, while it is possible to distinguish shades to determine a color, a colorblind person would have a heck of a time trying to do it, thus taking away from their general enjoyment of the game. :)

I believe you should have reported him for (I believe it is the first option, and I believe it is called this) harrasment. Harassment is in general threatening, annoying, stalking, or something even as mundane as calling someone a noob repeatedly.

Then how come I still have feet from before Armored Boots and Slayer came out? Was I just really lucky all my enemies didn't have great knees to bend that far?

Mine is Dendur. Personally, I used to like it.. Until I heard Thordur. Looks like I'm getting a name change now :o Your kingdom is a total waste. I got maybe 2 tuna and (GASP!) a swordfish, at 100% favour, with everyone on fish (This was when I needed food  ). Total ripoff. So I got mad and killed a bunch of my own people. 0% favour now

And it is also 2d, and looks like a floor panel, not an item.

Challenge scrolls are in treasure trails. what u all are talking about is a champions scroll not challenge False; They're clue scrolls, not challenge scrolls. There is an item called "Challange scroll" in treasure trails. There is the normal clue that leads you to talk to someone (Let's say Bob). Bob then hands you an item called "Challange Scroll" that has a mathematical/number based question for you to answer.

The way I pictured capes was more of a normal cape with small (Maybe 1"x2") plates sewn on, so the cape is still "Swoosh"-ey, but armored. The idea does seem sort of... useless though. But then again, in the land of RuneScape, what good are armored boots? There are no "Stab feet", or "Stomp on OoOoOoO's Feet" special moves. I really want that pwnage dragon apron and dragon chef hat! I could cook them lobsters all day in STYLE 8)

Bubsa Sings RuneScape: What happened next
Mc_comix_yo replied to Bubsa's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm... I love the songs! 8) They are undeniably nerdy, to an extreme that I wouldn't dare go to, but then again they OWN because they are so funny! I love all of them, but I really like Level Up the most, but the rest are close. Anyone here know how to get the songs into iTunes? I really want these to be put onto my iPod, so I can listen to them even when I'm off my computer. I tried getting it from Putfile, but no success... I could listen, but not save to my computer. Help? -
Funny update, and alas, I can see it happening! *Runs for the hills* I found one flaw, however. You said "Ammies" instead of "Amulets" :) Jagex is one of the worst companies I've seen (Gamewise) that does not support slang terms from their own game. They would NEVER say "ammies".... Type the full word out, Jagex will. :P

The capes would be sort of.... Well, inconvenient in battle. The extra weight shifting on your back would throw you off balance, giving your opponent a free chance to slice your head off. The gloves (Which are called gauntlets) already exist, in the form of Steel Gauntlets (Cooking, Chaos, Gold modifications), and Klank's Gauntlets. The boots also exist, from Bronze to Rune. Dragon would be interesting, but not really that usefull. Either it would cost to much for a low defense bonus, or it would be to common.

Theres something about corn seeds...
Mc_comix_yo replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
The earliest known popcorn (I think) was used by Native American Indians as trail food, they used their Indian pots and popped it over a fire. I'm not so sure it would fit RuneScape, and even if it was added, would anyone use it? Nobody seems to really use the out of the way foods. Baked potatoes with cheese and butter heal 14 (Or 16?), but rarely are used due to the time it takes. Popcorn would probably only heal 2 - 4, thus making it sort of useless. The only way it would sort of catch on is if it's stackable, and each piece heals 2 - 4, thus making it a good backup food, or space saving food if your training on monsters that only hit 2-4. -
Hmmm.... The heaviest I can possibly think of is.... 27 Tar Barrels, The totem pole from Legends Quest, Granite Shield, Ganite Legs, Gold Helmet, Rune Platebody (Or are barrows platebodies more?), Obsidian cape, rune twohanded sword, armored boots... I think that about sums it up. Someone go try it, I don't have enough of that stuff myself

Hot Keys: Faster Reactions in Runescape
Mc_comix_yo replied to Toxicologist's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I support this idea, as it would not only make PKing easier (But on that note not necessarily, as other people have the same advantages), but it could make normal combat easier, or even changing outfits (IE: Christmas outfit 1, and Christmas Outfit 2). They should be activated with the number keypad, but with Num(Ber) Lock off. Currently, with Num Lock off, you can spin the camera with 8, 4, 2, and 6. I say scrap that, and put hotkeys there :P
