  1. A friend of mine told me about it. I thought RuneScape was stupid at first because I couldn't get it to load. I decided to just keep playing Neopets. (I was 10. Forgive me.) Then I got a new computer and tried out RS again. My first reaction was "... Whoa.... 3D!"
  2. Knitting. At level 1, you can make fuzzy mittens. At level 50, fuzzy rainbow sweaters. At level 99? Fuzzy pink toe socks. Oh yeah.
  3. In my opinion the Abyssal Whip and Dark Bow, while technically weapons, are more a "High level combat option". Because Melee and Range fighters both generally have to use a weapon to do their damage, this is why they have their respective high-end weapons. Mages, however, don't need a weapon to cast powerful spells. Their power comes from the spell lists. If I had to compare the Dark Bow and Abyssal Whip to something the mage has for high end combat, it'd likely be the Ancient Magicks spell list.
  4. I'm actually mad at myself for not remembering many of these plot twists. Oh well. Vanilla Sky had a good twist, in my opinion. I was lazily watching it at first, but then it just got wierder and wierder, then it got all twisty.
  5. Well, it's June now, so did you happen to get any word as to the date the album will be released? Also, what will the album name be? iTunes is ridiculously hard to find things without knowing the album and/or artist name.
  6. I got my only blackmark a year ago at a drop party. There were tons of people spamming "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@" to fill the screen, a Player Moderator said stop (I didn't see it at the time, only after looking at the case file thing), and apparently out of all 20 people doing the "@@@@" stuff, he picked me to report. Meh.
  7. Guthix, because I like the armor and other accessory colors. Plus, it fits the roleplaying of my character well, because my character is a pirate-gone-antihero who does the right thing -- After doing several bad things to get there. It balances out in the end.
  8. I like the whole city, except the fountain. The whole flatness thing just doesn't appeal to me -- I wanted a huge vertical fountain. I find for a city's centerpiece, it should be grand, not crawling with people.
  9. Well, I try to roleplay my character, Captain Macario Caddogan (Derived from the fact my character's "history" is heavy in pirating, as well as my name, MC_Comix_Yo) However, roleplaying in RuneScape is just too hard. People just aren't as used to it as in, say, a D&D game. People are used to "Hey, I'm going to look up a quest guide on Tip.It real fast." People are just used to "Sell 1k Lobs!" RuneScape, in my eyes, is now just an MMOG. It lost the RP a long time ago.
  10. I get it. When used on the Grand Tree, the response is "It can't be done!" This is what King Arthur said in response to being asked to cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with a raw herring. Basically, this is a very unofficial, rewardless, and totally for fun miniquest for Monty Python fans; AKA Jagex.
  11. If anyone remembers, the Sophaneum people in the desert had spots... So I got bored one day, and grabbed one of those potions and took it there. I believe it said something like "This is our curse, don't cure it" or something. Then again, I did do that around half a year ago, so my memory isn't to clear.
  12. In my opinion, Hunting *may* produce an armor equivelent to the whip, but in terms of defense. Perhaps some sort of new fur and hide armor?
  13. I don't recall major use of grenades in the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan, seeing as it was a beach siege and no human man could throw a grenade that far. The opening scene contained MG-42s, MP40s, Thompsons, M1-Garands... Okay, okay, I'll stop. Anyways, I think you guys got very defensive over this because he used a modern-ish term "Grenade". Had he said "Throwing Explosive Potion", the response wouldn't have been as bad. As for damages, I think it should hit anywhere from 0 to 15, splash damage in a 3x3 radius (If you're group pking, you run the risk of blowing your friends up too). The other catch is they aren't stackable, perhaps. You'd need to waste an inventory slot per <INSERT NAME FOR EXPLODING THROWN OBJECT HERE>. I feel that would be balanced.
  14. But it has. I've seen it many times on many forums. The reason of why it won't be added, the best clue solvers would get rich in no time. Isn't getting rich, or hoping to get rich, the entire point of a clue scroll though? :? I like the idea, it would be fresh and interesting, but I'm still not sure I like it. The trim boxes sound cool, but I'm not sure if I'd want hundreds of chainbodies and other rare Dragon items being pumped into the economy so quickly.
  15. I think that is fake...... Worth a try though. It's true, I was skeptical about it, so I took a raw herring and used it on a tree.. and it said "That is not the mightiest tree in the forest." :o
  16. I don't like that they removed the shortcut completly and opened the spot up. People train agility for a reason, now they're making things peope usually have to work for, free, for the new players? Helping is fine, but that's simply overkill. I don't mind helping a newbie once and a while, but Jagex, I feel this was complete overkill.... If all their first NPCs give out free stuff, what do you think they'll assume of players? Sure, not all of them will beg, but certainly it must increase the odds of spawning a dreaded begger. The Lumbridge bank also angers me. I worked hard to do Recipe for Disaster, and I get undermined by Jagex, who is helping new players stay in Lumbridge and never get out and explore RS, in my opinion. And the new interface... Well.... I think it looks like something for young schoolchildren, maybe 1st or 2nd grade. It looks cartoony, and I can't ever click the Run button for the life of me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  17. The whole reason I do a quest is for the storyline. The reward is a nice touch. I'd much rather listen to a "dumb 10 year old's fairytale" then listen to "Only 650,043 exp to go.....". I've done almost all the quests, save for a few newer ones. I also like to roleplay my character. Does that make me 10? 7? Yeah, I actually go around saying I like Guthix. It's a ROLEPLAYING game... why do people get mocked as immature if they don't hoard numbers?
  18. Dwarven cannons, dragons, goblins, almost any creature in RuneScape, rune armor, magic, demons, epic quests to save the land > Medieval RuneScape I think it'd be a fun idea. I'd definatly play it.... *Swings* FOOUUUUUUR! *Entire golf course gets knocked out* .... Oops...
  19. Well apparently someone's been reading the Legend of Drizzt books recently. Drizzt, and "Drow" in general is copyright Wizards of the Coast. Besides, I play RuneScape for RuneScape, not R.A Salvatore's (Very good) work. By the way, Drow don't have lavender eyes. They generally have red eyes due to them seeing in the infa-red spectrum. Drizzt's violet eyes are just unique. Oh, and "Drow" is from Dungeons & Dragons, which is what those books are about in the first place. I say no.
  20. Well, after I got a Guthan Helm, Verac Skirt, Guthan Spear, and Torag Legs in 3 runs (And used up all my luck for... well, ever.), I've been on a 20 or 30 something dry spell, but I haven't really been barrowing anymore.
  21. Well, if I had to pick a game, it wouldnt likely be one of those (As I dont own any). It'd be Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, because its a rather good shooter, plus its 100% free. However off that list, I'd pick BF2 :XD:
  22. Possibly the Bone Dagger (S). I've only seen one in my whole RS playing lifetime. I was bored so I bought it and alched it.. So that one doesn't exist anymore :-w
  23. ^ Black Demons. Pretty awesome in my opinion! Hill Giants also look awesome. (Hill Giant)
  24. My name has a really pathetic, nerdy origin... Way back in the wee years of 5th grade, our teacher made the class create a comic book as a Language Arts assignment. Me and my friend got As on it, and continued making the terribly drawn comic books under the name "Moo Cow Comix"... We both liked cows + couldn't spell :3> ... Thus Mc_Comix. The "Yo" in my name was because I wanted my name to be Mc_Comix_Lives as a gag for my friend, since I didn't expect to play for so long, but it was to long, so I tried to be "Cool" and add Yo. I regret the decision every day :XD:
