  1. It's not about the item, it is about how Jagex has made it available, the divisiveness it is creating, and the inherent contradition of their own oft-stated opposition to allowing real-world considerations to affect items you get in game. There are principles involved here. You either get that, in which case you inherently understand the opposition; or you don't, in which case you think people are getting "worked up" about an item, when that's not what they're worked up about at all. It's an item to say that you were thereĀ... Noone 2will find it cool a year from now, noone will even think about it... About those collector people: I don't care. Too bad, you were not there. What a bunch of whiners.... Jagex organises an event that seems awesome, and obviously had to choose 1 location on earth to organise it. I'm in Canada, so I'm not going there, but I hope there are gonna be others in North America, and then everyone will have the opportunity to get one, the year telling where and when you went there. Remember: IT HAS NO USE. If they got one-handed godswords, I'd understand the crying, but that's just silly.
  2. It's the softaware that makes it impossible. The max number possible in this system is: (2^(32-1))-1 , if I remember correctly, and it's equal to 2,147 something B. The total amount of xp is just a sum, so it doesn't take that into account. Xp has decimals, so you need to divide it by 10, meaning that you should top at 214M xp, brought down to 200M for the sake of simplicity/whatever reason that made Jagex do that.
  3. I'm pretty much always in my cc, my friends and me think it's more convenient than PMs.
  4. But what will end up happening is many people will just buy the tickets so they can get the item. Thats up to them, isnt it? They're abusing the system. Its still not microtransactions. And seriously, paying 75 pounds for a banner that doesn't do anything would be a bit extreme, even more as most people don't give a **** about a banner.
  5. This banner DOESN'T do ANYTHING. Why would you mind not having it that much?
  6. But just how many stupid updates can Jagex make before the loyal fanbase decide; enough is enough? Last stupid update being??? Dungeoneering is a pretty nice skill, and, which is better, not just a grindfest. Constitution update didn't change anything. I don't think any recent or not-so-recent update was bad enough to make me hate that game.
  7. You will get next to no xp from getting the set, since the main xp from PC comes from the tokens-xp exchange. However, the set is worth the time to get it.
  8. i fished only sharks from 76-85 and it took forever lol Rocktails are waaaaaaaaaaaaay faster than sharks.
  9. Rocktails are pretty good experience, at least better than monks, and a lot better cash too, I did them 90-99, and I loved it. Be sure to fish on the unofficial world: 82 or 84, if I remember correctly.
  10. It might be the wisest decision... I'm bored after 150 tokens or so.... I got my hood and top over ge (max offers when the ge updated) and bought the skirt for tokens. Whole process did take a few weeks tho, a friend got his set in about a week tho, all 3 bits. So they are buyable, just hard. And *WELL* worth getting if you can get a set, cuts the cost of barrageing in more than half with an sol, and when you see just how well it works you wont go back. Also re-charging isnt to hard, If your a fairly high level f2p fog is a joke anyways and you can easily win and recharge in 90 - 120 mins. How long does the set last? If II'm gonna spend half of my time recharging, I might just as well runecraft...
  11. Be sure to fish rocktails ASAP. In my experience, they are a bit better xp than monks, and waaaaaaay better cash!
  12. It might be the wisest decision... I'm bored after 150 tokens or so....
  13. I don't have friends. QFT. I know the feeling :( Yeah, you're not alone. Let's start a club! Feel free to add me (just like anyone looking for duo partners, for that matter) and maybe we could go on some duos. RSN: Warblastoise
  14. Oh... I wasn't aware of their street price... I guess I'ma put an offer on, and gain tokens in the meanwhile for recharging/ buying the robes. Will I even save that many runes with these robes?
  15. Thanks a lot! I'll be sure to give it a good read! While luring, you may take damage from wallaskis(sp) and daggs, and are you just getting tokens to recharge them? or to purchase the set? Recharging them shouldnt take more then a couple hours. I'm going to buy them, as I don't really see the point in gathering thousands of tokens just to save 800k or so. A big thanks to everyone who posted! It really was helpful!
  16. Why would I need healing? Won't I be praying against the lobbies? And how long should it be to make the tokens to recharge battle robes? Thanks
  17. Thank you. I've not done Desert Treasure as of now, which burst should I cast?
  18. Hi! Dungeoneering made me want to raise my mage def a bit, and I thought that I might just as well shoot for vengeance in the meantime. The budget is about 40-50M--60M if it's much better+the gear (SoL+??? ) I'd prefer combat methods as they give hp xp too (+they're fun), and I don't like alching. Thanks for your insight!
  19. I have to say i agree with you on that. They had every opportunity to make dungeoneering interact with the rest of gielinor, like dungeons across the world map and boss drops that are (only) useful outside of the dungeons, unfortunately they somehow choose not to (or forgot?). I suspect they have their reasons, i just hope they are the right ones... The skill has been out for about 10 days. Who tells you that there are not a few other dungeons currently planned?
  20. Well it is our language after all, guess we can say it the way it was ment? wrong I remember way back when they had a pronunciation guide for allt he cities, Idk if they still have. I'm pretty sure it's in one of the god letters. By Saradomin, if I remember correctly. The new prices are awesome. I think I'm gonna get the bonecrusher and coal bag, and maybe that best arcane necklace.
  21. This and the coal bag look awesome. And they are quite "affordable", when compared to the bonecrusher.
  22. there should be a poll on tipit's main site asking "Do you like dungeoneering? Yes/no" We would then have the beginning of an answer. I personnally like it, I haven't done anything else ingame except miscellania since it's release and am very happy with how it works. I can't wait for the next dungeons,
  23. I almost posted mine, but the fact that I got it with a similar level made me not do it. Perhaps I should've. 8/10
  24. In this case, fishing's hard. The cooking part is still very easy AND fast. It was an easy skill that I used to trim my cape, tbh.
  25. The world will die... OT: I hope gertjaars will get it but the problem is I can't find him in the highscores so I think he changed his name. S U O M I is also a good contender with her slow 200m skills Gertjaars is in no position to max out, especially not first. Suomi and Drumgun are the two most popular choices, however I don't think Drumgun even wants to max. Suomi though has specifically mentioned how it's his goal, and despite his cash problems and refusal to merch, I think he's the most likely at the moment. There are a few other people who play a ridiculous amount of time (e.g., telmomarques), but most of them have also said they don't intend to go for 4.8b. It's 5B, now, and probably 5,4B once they reach it. Dungeonning just made that goal about 2/3 of a year in ingame time longer, reaching 181M xp being the goal, assuming they trade their tokens for xp.
