Shared XP
That choice is yours, ut consider that you would have say 81 attack and 81 srenght to level defence, giving you a slight benifit. Yes controlled can be cool, but there's too much time between levels IMO. Also, you get 1,33 xp for each hit, not 1,5. No advantage on this side.

How should i use my charms on the "bonus exp weekend"?
I assume you have 74 summon already, so start with granite lobbies, until you reach 79 ( Or 83 if you have obsidian charms, but I would not get them) (Geyser Titans are really really costly to make, so I'd stay away from them, but that's your choice). When you reach your desired level, use your blue charms, switch back to granite lobsters (any other seconds would be almost unbuyable, now), then use your greens on ponies (Good lck getting the seconds), golds on barker toads (Swamp toads are fast to collect, if they are still unbuyable). Good luck.

Tip.it Times March 1 2010
Ideally that's what would happen, however you'd be surprised how little time there is to get an article in. Sometimes the editors won't be online or edit the article for a few days so there is only so much editing and changing that can be done. It isn't quite as easy to write an article regularly as people might think, and with the forum being down on Sunday a lot of last minute editing ect wasn't able to be done. However I'm sorry if you think that my article was poor. Don't be mistaken, your article wasn't poor, it's just that it lacked some editing. Which, considering the reasons given, can be easily forgiven.

It's east of clan wars, not wet. Otherwise, quite good. Quite long for it's message, though. Wasn't worth an article. More like a forum post.

Long Term Effects of "Exp Weekend"
That. Also, I'm pretty sure it's gonna make price lower in the long run. Considering the number of people going to get their goals at that time, it might even lower those prices in the not-so-long run.

Slayer helm! :D
You flame and troll the guy who felt that killing Nomad was an achievement worth posting, but not the guy who posts his brand new slayer helm, which is infinitely easier to get? wat. Anyway, congratulations on the helm. I was very happy to get mine, too. Maybe he finally learned that being a jerk was nothing good. 8/10 I loved it when I got mine.

137 Waterfiends.
Since you obviously haven't been before why are you giving advice on them? I have been there and killed thousands of waterfiends -- the only experience I am lacking is not testing whip against dragon mace there. I know they have a high defence against anything that's not crush, I'm just not so sure that even a dragon mace is better than a whip there. Now, if you will please remove your head from your [wagon] on these forums, can we get on with the rest of the topic? You will almost never hit with a whip, there. If you'Re not using crush attacks, I'm not even sure you could hit them. And that's based of the great number of times when I forgot to change my whip for a ss while geting down there. And that's based on the fact that you have awful melees, so don't assume that you can't hit with them at all using a whip. My mellees being almost the same as the OP's, I guess that's pretty relevant. The "I'm not even sure" means that, well, I was not sure. And maybe try to be a bit more polite, next time.... It's the internet, you don't have anything to prove to anyone....

Summoning
I heard granite mining is quite fast, so you might wwanna look into that. This, or making stranger plants, requiring red flowers, from level 75, if red flower are buyable.
-
Summoning
How much roughly is that costing you? I'll get only to 85, but approx 25M.... However, I bought my seonds minutes after the announcement. Shards cost is about 18-20M, I think.

Summoning
I'm in your kind of situation. Starting from 68, I'm gonna do +-2400 barker toads, switching to granite lobsters ASAP (at level 74), in order to get the best possible multiplier for my crimsons. From there, approx 1500 crimsons, adjusting with blue charms, if need be, to reach level 80. Then, Hydras all the way to 83, making lava titans until I run out of blue charms, then finishing my greens, and my golds after that. Doing pouches in that order should get me the best efficiency possible, if my figure of 2k pouches per hour is correct.

88 Summoning
It would just be making the best pouch you can, except if it exceeds your budget. And don't forget to get your seconds (Ï'd make granite lobsters, granite's really easy to mine)

88 Summoning
It won't cost a lot with this bonus xp weekend. However, telling us what charms you have would make it much easier for us.

Long Term Effects of "Exp Weekend"
The balance seems to be lacking in this update. It does negate prior hard work and accomplishments by players. It's a slap in the face to those players who did it the hard way. Jagex has been so careful in adding exp mulitpliers and frankly stingy for some rewards. For instance the Familarization charms updates has so many hoops and is limited to once a week. I also remember when metal dragons came out they drop bars and players requested that those bars be noted so it would be easier to keep in invent, but at that time Jagex decided that would 'overpower' the rewards too much. This free exp weekend update seems too hypocritical. To just open the doors on a particular weekend to give free exp for nothing but just logging on seems unfair. I also don't see why the double exp has to be so complicated it starts off at 2.7xp and then drops continuously til it's 1.1 xp 10 hours later. Why not just simplify it and give 2x exp for the first 10 hours. Also 10 hours overall seems to long. At least if it were only for 1-2 hours it wouldn't have had that much impact. I view it as a blatant cash grab. To get more members. It's a shame. The game has become easier over time, but with this 10 hour double exp weekend it's just reached a ridiculous level of easy. It's like they dont' play their own game and have no idea what their players are like. They came out and said this update would not affect prices, but it's clear to everyone that skilling items are increasing in price. It's inevitable and logical they would. There's a sudden spike in demand now. I don't support this update, they are babying their players too much by offering up free exp. Also if they have chosen this path they better go back and review all of their quest rewards. It seems ironic that doing every quest and having a quest cape gives LESS reward exp than if you were to just play for 10 hours on the double exp weekend. I wouldn't have thought it possible but 2010 'updates' are becoming worse than 2009. IMO, it gets so hard buying anything (seconds, etc.) that the advantage of it will not be that great. Except to the lcky ones (for exemple, me) who were able to buy it right after the announcement. Too late to stop it, but I'd like it to be the last one. A once in a decade event.

What was your first 99?
Fletching. It gave me really nice starting money (A few Ms, which was quite a lot for me at the time).

Double Xp Weekend
I'd summon. I feel there's more to be gained in summon than in others.

The F2P General Discussion Thread
No...Gold rings are only used for magpies, which are around level 40-50 summoning. Emerald rings (Made in duelings), however, will be used lots and lots. Oh and sorry if I replied in a f2p-only thread, but felt like I needed to say something.

Save the Date! 26-Feb-2010
It's only 4 hours or so of "real" bonus... Not gonna devalue any cape at all, not gonna change long-term prices. Just an opportunity to finish some goals, that might come something like once 6 months/per year.... No big deal on the economy. Although I'd feel real real bad if I used my charms a few days ago (like I planned to do). But hey, seconds could also have dropped a lot due to another reason.... That's just luck...

Long Term Effects of "Exp Weekend"
More than once every 6 months would be risky, once every three months or less would be desastrous. But if they keep it very sporadic, like once a year, or before the introduction of a new skill, it would be nice.

Summer's End Too Hard For Me ?
I think I was something like full 70s-75s when I did it, diedd twice. Just bring a good axe and food, pray magic and it shouldn't be too hard.

Account In Use
Ithappened lots of time to me back in the time when I pressed logout while being attacked by a random or a monster. I don'T think it's possible anymore, though. I'd just retry in a few minutes. Unless you don'T have a PIN, which should make you worry, and do what the above poster said.

When to sell herbs from MTK
Yes, don't be greedy and try to wait till they are just about to crash. You never go bankrupt from making a profit.
