May I make a suggestion for text placement? You could have the world "beauty" written on the red ribbon like this- B E A U T Y in white and then put "Thru" or whatevah in red along the side.. I don't know if it would look any better but it's worth a try methinks..

Ignoring the text.. Your splash marks aren't thick enough to cover your Typlosion's arse, and the background is a little plain.. Otherwise, it warrants a seven kittens out of ten.. Eight, considering this is your first try at a sprite.

I was looking at some of my older sigs, and I saw that a while back I made a siggy based on the song, "Goodbye blue sky". Fresh out of ideas(my muse has left me.. *tear*) I decided to return to that concept, and make something really awsem and stuff so that I could win the contest.So yeah, this it was results from much boredom indeed.. So, I thought about what you people said, and I did some changes.. I fixed the bird, and the text.. but what color? The blue is my favorite. *with white *gold *blue

Hmm.. Well, I'm on the fence about this one. On one hand, you have a pretty good center picture(background matches render, ect.). On the other hand, this picture is framed by a rather... unattractive border. I would suggest you simply remove the top and bottom borders.. The text needs work too.. (Fonts good, but the placement is just boring) Final grade- Seven and a half kittens out of ten.

This looks pretty good, I like the shading.. But I think you made the hair come a bit too far off the head.. Eight kittens out of ten.

The third one is a bit.. sketchy I'll admit. Basically, you see two people(the thin blobs in front of the light) and they cast these shadows, except one has the shadow of a dragon/monster and is rearing to bite the first one... Kinda like symbolic representation of the darkness within..

I like then, though they are a little creepy.. I would definitely wear them though. Nine kittens out of ten.

Come to think of it, it always has been about grinding..
