I don't care much for the Challenges update, but the security update looks interesting. :)

This guy to create thousands of accounts, have each of them register for the free trial, spin the SOF, and then transfer the cash won to his main account through PvP. He makes about 200M daily from running the script. He's been doing it for five days now. I wonder if this will motivate bot developers to use SOF for cash farming instead. =S

23M net wealth in liquid assets, 47M in cash (hard asset). If you factor in my house, the money needed to train the relevant skills and subsequently build it, then my wealth's around 86M total. I feel like an accountant :P

Very interesting topic! :) Considering a maxed/near-maxed player can take out the Tier 4 monsters with great effort, I would put a maxed character around Tier 4 (maximum potential). If not in serious combat, then maybe Tier 6-7 (if we made a list to go that low).

I missed out on August, but I'll stay subscribed through-out September to get my 350K XP lamp. Gonna use some of it on summoning :D I know micro-transactions are terrible, but damn it, my need for XP trumps my outrage :P

Woah there, this is hardly X rated material its a skin tone with no depicted genitalia or anything.. Its basically a naked doll and exactly how many kids haven't seen a naked doll - I mean I don't like seeing this in my game cos I think it looks stupid but seriously does this offend anyone's sensibilities? Also, 13+ I didn't even realise Runescape was 13+ but come on guys you might be older now but we'd all seen far, far worse than this at 13, my bro gave me my first porn mag at about that age. Different people have different opinions, you may be ok with it, some kids who's parents watch them play may less impressed. The glitch's not a common occurrence, and it's suggested that you be 13 when you sign up, but it's not a requirement. You need to be 13+ if you want chat freely, but Jagex has no age verification and considering the existing content advertised in the game, the age limit's a non-issue, IMO. The player's exploiting a glitch -- it's not intended to be content, so Jagex can't be held liable to adjust its age requirements. There's also no pornographic depiction of genitalia, so I don't see how that'd make the game "18+" anyway. Can you just imagine the silliness of that? RuneScape: 18+ only. Player may encounter rare occurrence of seemingly nude woman with no graphic depiction of genitalia. Beware!

It's slated for a November release currently (Source). Mod Pi put a good spin on it but honestly, we knew from day 1 with what they released that September was far too unrealistic. It was unfair that they had to put a cramped deadline on them, because it makes them look bad for delaying it. And they honestly didn't deserve that. So good job, whoever it was who made that call. You're the reason why devs hate upper management! Oo, thanks. It's a good relief to know it'll take at least a couple months.

Jagex Account Guardian, huh? Sounds good. :P I didn't see any mention of the EoC being released this month. Safe to assume it won't be? ...what? Those challenges are suggestions, not requirements. It's an attempt to alleviate boredom so players *can* use their freedom to play the game without it getting monotonous.

There's no way Jagex can expect to release a beta that's in serious need of a rework for F2P. I don't think it'll be released this month, at this rate.

It sounds that the 'punishment' is an ingame animation, jagex will ultimately ban the bot regardless Good point. In that case, it's probably the former. I suppose the "ban" is animated too :P Maybe he gets sucked into a black hole.

Fair enough, I suppose, regards your sources. Now that some time has passed, I'm leaning toward it being a possible fake, but in my view there's no surefire way to confirm, in light of the fact I don't have access to the same authoritative sources that you do. Even so, I'm keeping it open as a possibility, if only for the fact neither of us can back up our sources 100%. I don't think it's strange (not to speak of its authenticity). He's qualifying who can have access to his friends list on a hierarchal level. Those would be admins. He's talking to regular players, either term conveys the same message. "Co-workers" would be too familiar considering who he's speaking to. I think it's a semantic point that doesn't suggest fraud one way or the other.

Either of those scenarios is probable, I think. Though I'm leaning toward the second, since Jagex mentioned the players choose the actual punishment.

What I don't understand about the Botting Isle is how they'll get the bot (or cheating player) to stay logged in. What if the owner comes back and sees that his bot's being pelted by angry players with rotten tomatoes? Wouldn't he just log out? :P Sounds hilarious, though. I'd want to see it :D
