  1. So let's say Jagex shuts down the publicly advertised clans... do you not think they will go underground and keep on merching? There will just spawn 10 new ones.... The demand for these clans is there: and as long as that demands stays high there will be people creating those clans. You know that's the only requirement for 90% of the real life jobs out there? (Being president, bank people, investors).. You only need to have a good talk and people will always follow you as sheeps. - Really, that IS intelligence. No, I wouldn't call that intelligence. Anyone can do it. Not just anyone can become president, especially no-one that has no real knowledge of what it takes and how to get there.
  2. This interview's actually quite pathetic. "Mr J Rune" (Lol..) Says that he only "merchants" for fun. When you get to the stage where you have enough money to buy everything you'd need, and more, it's called greed. He knows it, I know it, you know it. He's trying to mask that. He's trying to make himself come across as a genuine guy, when infact he's not. Someone above says that he's a smart guy (I know you continue that, but I'll cut in here): What he's doing needs no more than common sense and good judgement. Of course, some background information had on merchanting's always a plus but it's basicly no more than common sense. I've been down this road before, so I do know what I'm talking about. I gave up before greed got the better of me, but it seems he's no intentions of giving up. And plans on doing it even when Jagex implement possible fixes. Something else which I found funny are the two videos they provide with the interview on the other fansite. One of them, which's the person recording, also a rank in the clan chat quite obviously is using a macro to auto-type. It's sad, really. And to see Player Moderators too in that video going on how they were.... Makes one sick. Claims, too, that they don't merchant items that harm others..well..that's a lie. They will merchant anything which will get them profit and their poor "investors" can afford to buy in. I only saw one example there where they kept items until after they were dumped, simple goal after something's dumped is to buy junk which isn't really that hard to come across. Few hours at the Grand Exchange on World 2 and browsing the forums and you could easily rid yourself of 1B +. Be it in partyhats, taking bulk amounts of junk or small-scale items. He's not going to do something if he'll lose money. Thus meaning, it makes it rather obvious that this person, and his "crew" of ranks in the chat pre-bought that item at that time. So when it did come to this stage, when they dump, there's no chance they'll make any loss. But pure profit, and selling for junk at medium price pretty much guarantees profit. Smokin Mils - GoldMerch - 2Lum or whatever that one is - And to all the rest of the greedy people that are still running these - "...Monsters are real, and ghosts are real too. They live inside us, and sometimes, they win. This interview really takes the biscuit.

 Edit: Been in a conversation now for over 30 minutes, some trolling at the beginning but now we're cool. Shame we'll probably never speak again.
  4. Yes, I'm a different person on the internet. Why? I don't know. I'm not myself at all. Sometimes I read over some posts I made be it on these forums or the RuneScape Official forums. And I think to myself, "I really said that?". It doesn't seem like me at all, how the sentance is built, what it contains etc. I'm also rather timid in real life, and I feel personally that RuneScape has played a part in that. (Myself not being as social as I once was.) Oh, and I also sort of have anger problems in real life, due to an overwhelming amount of stress. For reasons that are beyond me. But I easily get frustrated, with anything. And don't have much of a sense of humour due to this. I'm a nice guy, though. :-)
  5. Oh wow someone just said this in a whole new topic on its own? #-o I'm guessing you don't play RuneScape anymore and just ventured back to it today? Seems you've missed quite a bit. The "old" wilderness is still here, yes that's right, it's not went anywhere! What one drops upon dieing is all that's changed. Hey, you know you can still Pk? Yep! Amazing, huh. Go to one of the PvP worls and you may be able to gaze upon its awesomess. Giving away free money, you say? Oh my. People have to spend time doing something to earn something! Wow, I never would have expected that in a million years!!! Quick, hit the deck.... People did buy money, thousands of people. And it got them ahead, by a large amount. This thread ought to be locked, it's so pointless.
  6. Get over it. I don't think there's been an update, ever, that everyone has been happy with. There's always someone nit-picking. No-one tells you that you HAVE to do the diary, it's there however if you chose to do it. If the levels had of been 70 you'd be complaining. Jagex forgetting about players? I take it you've had a 4 year absence from the game? Or are you just completely blind as-to the almost weekly updates? Open your eyes and start training your levels. :-|
  7. Nice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgoXUzIwXk0
  8. Those that announce it so openly, are ones who I'd say are fools. They don't have what it is they claim, however, try use that as a poor excuse for their behaviour. I know one autistic person who plays RuneScape, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this person and any other. One of the nicest people you'd ever meet.
  9. That, my friend, is because either a solo merch plans on annoying some clans or clans just picked torag helm's as their next target Torags was dumped.... Dump is when you sell stuff massively, so that's not a dump, your torag's wouldn't have sold thats the point, it wasnt selling for minimum and then somehow sold over market price In that case it was bought out, not dumped, if it was dumped then it wouldn't have sold for that amount. (Dump = Sell at X price, if it got dumped by clans, then they wouldn't have sold) Are you sure that you didn't buy the helmets and try to sell before the 4 hours limit was up? If you buy something, you can't sell that item for 4 hours. Likewise with selling.
  10. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
  11. Haha, that picture's very good. Gave me a laugh. (Made it as my avatar, too. Offtopic.. I know.)
  12. Normally, (Atleast, to the best of my knowledge) they're released 7 days before, and are kept in the game for 7 days after. So... 24th of October - 7th of November? the 24th's a Saturday, so it'll be before/after that weekend. And the 7th's also a Saturday, so it'll either be the 9th or 6th. Don't quote me on this, I'm just rambling...
  13. I am pretty sure I have read somewhere that Jagex didn't want servers in China because of political reasons etc. I am probably thinking too much of this but could this little trip of the top 2 Jagex people mean they are looking into business in China? If this happened it would bring alot of new players in but it could also increase the RWT companies awareness of Runescape. Again, sorry this isn't Twitter, or an update hint, but it is a social networking site and I am really curious about it. China passed a law that bans all foreign owned MMOs. Andrew and Mark may be jetting to China to appeal that. Pretty sure Gold Farming's illegal in China. Meaning, chances of this happening are slim. I can only see more customers coming from it. And yes, RuneScape in , anyone? (Didn't think it was this soon, heh)
  14. Money's money, Mike. Done Regicide today and this: Sadly, I'm actually starting to enjoy quests... shame there's not a whole lot left that offer half-decent rewards.
  15. Errrm, think of Timmy who got himself on national news because he RWT'ed and got hacked by a clan. Kids will do anything for attention - including whining to their parents. I think censors are good, there's no need to have to hear any swearing or inappropriate language. They don't get in the way very much any more and while I have nothing against the use of swear words when I'm angry, I'm all for them being censored too. Unfortunately the use of swears is seen far more common in insulting people - which is definitely not appropriate. I just don't want to see gay being thrown around as an insult. RWTing is one thing. Swear words and censorship is another. I do realize that swear words are sometimes used for insulting people. But then again, there's the ignore list, and if you get offended just by some random someone typing an insult, then you're gonna have a hard time dealing with this stuff. By the way, almost no one that I have met on Runescape has made insults to me using swears, so it is actually not that big of a problem. Then, there's the person that accidentally makes a typo which got the word censored. A WBM (Wanna-Be Mod) sees this, and reports that person. That person who made the typo just got muted for 48 hours. That's yet another example of why the censor hurts more than helps. [/hide]It's true there's the ignore list, but some people are sensitive and will still be hurt if someone calls them a bleeping bleep bleep. Not many people use swears as insults but they still do - and more would if the censor would allow it. If a word is censored then there's no foul language is there? You can't report someone under obscene language if the censor has caught it. I do realize that some people are more sensitive than others. However, the best solution is to just take more of it and use comebacks, so that you can learn to deal with it. That's how I learned to deal with most mean people that I have met. Just because the censor would allow swears does not mean that more people will use swears as insults. Since swearing is possible in that circumstance, reporting them for foul language is actually easier, so in the long run, less people will use swears as insults. By the way, I have heard people get muted just because they made typos. Like this example: Person (no typo): "Let's go cut yews." Person (typo): "Let's go cut jews." Were you around when the censor got changed and you had half a dozen people seemingly everywhere spouting out the newly uncensored words? It'll be the exact same thing if they were to change the censor again, the community is not mature enough to handle big words like gay. It is a sad thing when something like that happens, but I doubt people get permanently muted and from what everyone says you can appeal things easy as it is. Yes, I was around when the censor got changed. I didn't really see anyone spamming those uncensored words. Even I myself use them very rarely. I'm only a measly 13 year old, and I know when to talk swear words and when you shouldn't. Keep in mind, I never relate my words to sexual intercourse. I said "screwed up" as in "messed up" or "ruined it" - it's just that I find that "screw" sounds better than "mess". It's just what sounds better to me. If I replaced it, it would be: "Darn, that revenant messed up/ruined my wildy mining." I never intended it to add a sexual reference. I never mention anything of sexual intercourse in it. I did not replace the word to be another that has to do with sexual intercourse. Hold up, I never said you did intend it to be that. I am simply telling you, why the word "Screw" is censored. You may not intend for it to mean sexual intercourse, but when you use "screw" in a sentence generally, it's a replacement for (And I do apologise for having to use this), [bleep]. That word. Albeit, it's not as bad. But it still means the same thing.
  16. I'm sure in the event that they add a screw item to runescape, the censor will be reworked to allow the word in certain context; however, there is no screw item. Not even a screwdriver--it's referred to a Turnscrew actually, which isn't censored. So that's really a moot point. Having the word censored because it has no relevancy nor context to the game itself saves more problems than it creates. Even though the word is censored, it will be a hindrance to those just normally chatting, clan chatting, and even private chatting. Censors can and will get in the way. If I were to use "screw", an example would be "Darn, that revenant screwed up my wildy mining.". It has absolutely no sexual reference, and is not offensive as well, therefore it should not be censored. Hell, every word should not be censored, because it's just a word. What harm does it do? Nothing. Besides, it's not a kid's game, so people will not go crying to their parents and said "some guy on a internet said a bad word!". Censors, useless. Period. Right, no more beating around the bush. "Screw" - in your sentence is simply replacing another word, which is to do with sexual intercourse. Pretty much no better way to put it. "Darn, that revenant screwed up my wildy mining." - ""Darn, that revenant [bleep]ed up my wildy mining." Find for me, if you will, a sentence you can put that in, without relating to construction irl or whatever that "Screw" is replacing that other word. Please.
  17. Nor does he know that Mmg wasn't the CEO a year ago. Geoff Iddison was.
  18. Indeed, I was expecting someone to use "screw" in the space of "nail", just to try and prove something. Smellysocks - So true.
  19. "Google" is uncensored. Are you really serious... Ofcourse, if gay is censored because it 'centers around the discussion of sex', why shouldn't 'straight'? .. Because "straight" actually has a use besides describing sexuality.. Such as.. you can say, "After I farm this patch im going to teleport straight to Fally". Its primary use as a word does not focus around "SEX".[/hide] EDIT: Yes, gay can refer to a non-sexual definiation but the majority of the time it is not used that way. The term straight is used as a non-sexual term the majority of the time it is used. Thats the difference. If that is true, then why is "screw" censored? It has nothing to do with sex, and yet it is censored in-game. Truth is, no word should be censored. We all know what they are, and we wouldn't care if somebody said it anyway. Sexual references are perfectly normal, and are always used in everyday life. That's why fads like "That's what she said!" was invented. "Screw" is a pretty bad example to use. As it's commonly used, as slang, to have sexual intercourse. I can't think of many examples, in RuneScape, where one would need to use "Screw" in a sentance?
  20. Mod_Fetzki will be appearing at @gamecity on October 30th for "#RuneScape: The Director Commentary". Details at http://[Censored - Don't use a URL shortner]/Nmw8m. Ajd Sounds very exciting.
  21. The first page of the #RuneScape & #Jagex @BeckettMOG interview with Mod MMG. More in the print copy out now in the USA. Ajd [hide="Page of interview][/hide]
  22. *Finished Underground pass just minutes ago, is sad to see he now has to do 5 more quests!* :wall:
  23. Awesome idea, one thing: End of the video, "I Love-" What is it?? Nothing to criticize, would be a good direction to go on. Yes, we have the Post All Rs Related screenshots and videos here! thread, but something for those fans of videos would be awesome. Would be interesting what kind of videos get put up there, we know there's some crazy Tip.It'ers around. By the way, I <3: Pio.
  24. This above is indeed true. And this is "why we can't have nice things!" (Sorry, I had to.) Talking about ones sexual orientation really isn't a good idea, in RuneScape. As others mentioned, most of the community that play are far too immature. I can't imagine what uncensoring these words would lead to, and how much busier the Mods would be muting people. I see "G@Y" etc, on a daily bases. And that's only by people who wish to push their luck and border losing their freedom to type without quickchat. If they uncensored these, can you imagine what people would be wanting uncensored next? I can. Generally, adults that play RuneScape are perfectly fine with the censor. Most, will tell you that they're even fine if the censor is put back to how it once was. With nearly everything slightly offensive being removed. I personally have no reason to use such words on RuneScape, therefore them being censored doesn't phase me. Not only that, but there's really nowhere one could use the words without being moved on to change topic. Unless it's in private messaging. If you attempted to discuss it in a clan chat, it's as bad as trying to discuss politics or religion. It doesn't work. Flame wars will start, almost instant.
  25. [hide=Spam] You just don't believe No, I'm just not an attention seeker. (And not being stupid..) I'm not trying to be an attention [bleep]. Ever here of a toke jopic? Joke Topics = Spam. A mod should lock this. Rather confused as to why it wasn't locked sooner. There's really nothing at all to discuss other than stupid "speculation". Give you an inch and you take a yard. The picture was nothing. The carousel means nothing. It was there for entertainment purposes for Jagex staff, that, and only for that reason. And the "group" picture was taken infront of it. End of "discussion". Wow, you're a tool. This was just meant for a few laughs. Don't get all worked up over nothing. It's been made clear before that spam doesn't belong on the forums. So that 'nothing' is something because it is spam that should be locked. Don't take life so seriously. [/hide] You're calling me a tool, because I said the topic is stupid and should be locked. You said it's just for laughs. If one creates a topic, "Just for laughs", that means it should be just locked. What's there to discuss? Nothing. Hell, we could speculate about a piece of sand that's more visibile in the desert than any other piece. And I'm sure there's a lot of fools who would. Seriously, it's not my lacking a sense of humour. I just don't like stupidity around here. Or attention seeking. Even worse when they both come together, in the same thread at the very beginning. Oh my. :-|
