They CAN swim. Although the distances may vary depending on things such as currents, or even water predators. They cannot swim out into the middle of the ocean, as even raptors get tired. I don't think this would be any harder than surviving a zombie outbreak. First of all they won't have the sheer numbers that zombies would. And considering there's no giant dinosaurs around to that they can feed off of, they'll probably starve to death pretty quickly. As long as we can live long enough to get somewhere safe, I think we'll be good.

Not necessarily. I think the definition of marriage is slowly shifting away from it's religious roots to have a more secular meaning.
