  1. o.o lucky. BTW: Santa won't rise during Christmas...
  2. Considering that the prayers most likely affect monsters in the same way they do players (with the exception that Turmoil treats high level monsters like maxed players,) we can reasonably assume that multiple players using the same sap or leech curse will not cause the monster to lose more than 10%-25% of their stats, respectively. Unless you (or anyone else) can think of a way to prove otherwise, my small bit of testing is conclusive. Good luck, as I'm fairly certain that NPCs aren't about to show you their prayer menus. Kinda arrogant to assume that, since you really proved nothing. The boost/drain is invisible as well, so you didn't prove anything. Actually, I can. When corpying, when numerous people were cursing, you could see the leech effect going against corp. To say this doesn't work would be tantamount to saying that SWH or DL only work one time by one player, and then they no longer reduce defense. Not only that, but it is illogical to assume that players and monsters work the same way. For one, protect prayers work differently against them, as do other factors. The assumption that what occurs to one but not the other is not valid.
  3. No, but should I? Always, so you're always guaranteed that expensive xp Not exactly. There's an explanation in the AoW guide by Zaaps, but I'll outline what to keep in mind. 1) Only 1 in 10 trees dies unattended. 2) The cost to watch a tree is part of the cost of the xp. 3) Doing the math, therefore, if the cost of the supplies to watch the tree is 10% of the seed price or higher, it's not worth it. You are guaranteed the xp though. That is worth it for me.
  4. Although the shape and edge look like an obsidian shield, the face doesn't seem to match. It looks too smooth.
  5. Who is to say that drop rates are steady? Although they obviously are most likely, could you prove that one person doesn't have a better built in drop rate at one monster, but not at another? Just a thought :P
  6. By themselves, no. With leech, yes.
  7. I like this blog so far, but you *really* don't need to post half key drops.
  8. So, you tested against players. That doesn't prove that NPC's, who have different stats, will not show a further decrees from increased numbers of players using leaches/saps. This is because leach prayers say that when activated, they automatically drain 10% of that stat, up to 25% after time.
  9. P mods=status. Simple as that. They don't help much, from personal experience.
  10. How, exactly, did you test this?
  11. Obviously a bug then, because we took the icon. Report it. I doubt it. Barrows would be too easy without the prayer drain. You could camp there for far more chests, brining only p pots then.
  12. You know, I'm getting the impression that you immediately dump on everyone who has an opinion which differs from yours. If you'd actually read the entire thread, there are legitimate concerns about how seriously this prayer update may unbalance the combat triangle further. Hardly. I am referencing those who are whining because they don't have the levels/patience to get d bones/cash/etc and so they whine. Sarcasm, as you can see, is a powerful tool. Oh wait, you only have 70 prayer, but 94 mage. You have a vested interest in opposing this update. Not saying you do, but it is fairly easy normally to look at people's stats and see why they would want to oppose something. Normally, it is because it makes the game harder for them.
  13. Nope, wrong again. 1. You can use turmoil with reflect prayers. 2. They do work against NPC's.
  14. True, but go to RSOF rant section, and watch it happening.
  15. Ye lets crap on all the people who spent over 75 MILLION GP if they got prayer recently because they gain a slight boost fighting me or some boss. Geez, yes, it is powerful. That is why it is FRIKKEN 95 PRAYER TO USE!
  16. And yet, unless you have 95, you don't have as many positive boosts, since you can't use piety.
  17. SC is a free set of rune, essentially, and you get double xp for a bit. It may be worth playing for at least 1 set, if you like the game.
  18. From what it seems, you don't have enough patience of cash to get any 99, unless you like it. Work on getting all you stats to 50-60-70 etc first. Otherwise, i'd really say just get WC or cooking. Don't listen to people who say WC makes a lot of money. It doesn't.
  19. Very nice. I got my first Guarde de bandos in a french world, ls duo. ^.^
  20. Depends on how hard to would be for them to perm ban that account or accounts if multiple are allowed.
  21. Things that drain GP from game, outside of construction, include achievement capes, RFD items, all shops, and MTK. We need more of things like this. Perhaps a shop that sells belts, or something similar would be a step to take.
  22. Or ImgBurn :) I second the usage of ImgBurn I 3rd this. I have been happy with Imgburn, the several times I have used it.
  23. I've been happy with my dell, but honestly, I would recommend a toshiba. Reliable, but not very customizable, unlike dells or macs. Gateways suck, stay away. At least their low to mid end computers+laptops. I am not quite sure about their upper end laptops. BTW, GET MORE RAM!!!! Get at least 3 or 4 gig. I would also advise a dedicated video card.
