  1. Spoken like a true Middle Class person. Without getting too much into this, It's nice to know that you'll blame ME for being born into a poor family. I forgot that it's possible to control who you're born to. <_< The Working Class not only don't have the money. They don't get the opportunities that the Middle Class have. I'm a bright person, but I'll never have the chance to go to the best schools because there's no way on earth I could afford them. That means I'll never achieve as much as I want to. I might not get a good job, might be forced to get loans then pay them off by selling my organs. Remind me, which part of this was my fault again? More on topic. I think it's better to encourage donation, than selling. Sure, it could help poor people get money, but I see huge ethical issues with having the sort of system where they're pressured into sacrificing their organs just for a bit of cash. Racheya, Middle class? I am not going to say the exact number, but there are over 8 children in my family, 4 of whom were adopted. My mom stays at home, and my dad is a technician. The reason I feel like I do, is because of what I have seen around me. Maybe at first you can not control your surroundings, but when you grow up, you can to a large extent. I mean, when far more qualified people are passed over for a job or a promotion, and a minority or whatever who is not as qualified is given that position just so that a quota can be filled, there are obvious problems. I can't afford college yet, so I am taking a year off to earn money. I can't afford the best schools either. If I get into any school, I will be working my own way through. The skills I gained in woodworking, plumbing, carpentry, repair, drywall, tiling, etc etc etc are because I worked for them. Case in point, I have to WORK for what I have. That may mean donating plasma weekly to help supplement my income. That defiantly means working more than 1 job. No one can help where they were born. But one can chose what they do with their life. One can give up, or give in to the standard expectation, or one can rise above. Sure, one may not be able to garner every benefit that those in the upper classes do, but still opportunities abound. Why do you think people go back to college in their 30's, 40's, 50's? In essence, society can't be blamed for everything. Some may seem certain jobs despicable, such as garbage collector, etc. But one must do what is needed. As long as there is proper oversight, I am for the option of selling certain organs, just as one can now sell sperm/plasma/ etc. Also, what exactly is wrong with selling an organ morally? What is wrong with selling your body? Without some absolute standard of morales there is no right or wrong with what you do with your body, as long as others are not injured.
  2. I play RS in standard detail because I prefer it, and I hate RT5. Moving things around in your inventory is annoying, as is withdrawing things fast from bank. Runescape saw better before, IMO, due to the problems it causes.
  3. Yes but at the same time we already fight these monsters. We know which hit often and whihc miss alot. We know whihc have big max hits and whihc don't We know whihc are a sod to kill as they take hardly any damage and which you can obliterate We know how much hp they have. All these numbers would do is reconfirm what we already know for the most part. Lest we forget the "Which" monster that lets you spell a word correctly the first time in a post and then causes you to mispell it every time you use it after. It's a real pain. I hate him. +1 Abby demon only gave me 30% str bonus.
  4. Prayers. Easily. Now for 99.
  5. Jagex didn't design them to be hunted for drops. It really is as simple as that.
  6. In many FFAs, people call out HP xp gained. Only thing I can think of.
  7. Pray range. Keep HP around 40, unless you are paying 100% attention. I believe their max is 11, so if you want to live dangerous, you can try lower. Piety+ range pray. Pony, super set or two, emergency food or two until you get more comfortable. OC, don't pray anything until low HP. Don't wear a ROL. Make sure you have 6 min gravestone, and either ferocious ring, the fairy ring into dungeon, or else games necklaces to get back.
  8. ITP: If you don't have the stats, you can't form a valid opinion even though money making =/= skill in game. IE, yes, if we are talking about mainstream RS players, which we are.
  9. Once again, by looking at people's stats, it is fairly easy to see which people actually have the items, and can make an argument, or can afford them, chose not too, and make a valid argument, and which people have no idea WTF they are talking about. EG precipitous. No offense intended, simply an observation. Honestly, the argument seems to me to come down to a few main divisions of people who are affected by this discussion, but only for aesthetic qualities, not things such as bandos, arma, ranger boots, etc. This would include things such as black cav, a large amount of TT clothing, etc. Personally, if I like what my skilling outfit looks like, I am far less likely to get bored.
  10. Hey lego, just some advice. IMO, don't put your current combat level and current level. They will probably be out dated within a day or two. Just put 115+ combat and your current total levels rounded to the nearest 25/50 so that it doesn't go out of date so fast. Also, rounded numbers normally look better.
  11. Yes they do, so the brawlers give the same amount of XP they normally do, but the morphic tools are used up at a double rate. So essentially, you are using up SC tools for no more xp, but for faster xp. That is worth it for things that cost money, like smithing brawlers, or mage, but it is up to you if you wish to use SC picks/hatchets. The EP gained using these is normally worth the extra time.
  12. So i can kill all the brothers, and with a 0 creatures slayed i have the same chances for a barrows item as someone with a build kc? Yup, back when g spears were 6m each (I think it was like a year ago) I got back to back spears with only killing the brothers. I got guth spear last night, same thing. Sad. 400'ish chests, 6 items, only guthans spear was worth over 300kish lol
  13. I. Want. Cat. My dad is allergic, otherwise I'd have one. Ahh well, if we move, I'm going to have to get my own apartment near work, and I'll get a cat then if I can. BTW: ^ epic picture LOL
  14. Honestly, people who say that too much pressure would be put on the poor need to read "Atlas Shrugged". I don't give a damn about social justice, at least not the kind portrayed in that book. If you are smarter, you get a better job. If you are poor, there is almost always a reason for it, and it is most often your fault. Don't give me "product of society" "they are victims" and all that BS. They choose to sell their organs, just as any person could do. There are far worse ways to make money. But honestly, the poor already have plenty of pressure to do illegal things, such as prostitution, drug selling, etc. I really don't see what is so different in selling organs then from me selling my plasma weekly for $55 bucks.
  15. Actually, the % goes up as soon as the first hit lands, but I wasn't sure if it activated as soon as I clicked the monster, or not.
  16. I don't mind how the Cooking cape looks, but I don't value it highly. Fletching is ugly, and plenty of newbs, (not noobs) go for 99 just for that cape. All said though, I think fletching is least admirable. Dark, you don't really have any grounds for saying combat is easier/harder than fletching, considering your combat levels, and your fletching level. Ahh, the irony.
  17. I don't know about you, but hitting +15 more than you normally would seems pretty damn powerful to me. So you just decided to ignore that I added the fact that when you add in the variables it will add up to a lot? Thanks for that. <_< Kinda related, what's the new max hit for AGS special attacks? Using TipIt's calculator (does not include new prayers...) it's 67 without any prayer. And Turmoil adds what, +33%? So the max could be 90+?? I've seen 83 against graador. Str boost is 32% max as well. I bet you could hit 90 either with salve ammy, or against monsters in kuradal dungeon with ring+slayer helm.
  18. As someone whose actually had extensive vocal training and choir experience, I hate her music. I also hate all those out there who don't sing, but become famous due to screaming, or how they look, or something. Geez. Maybe that is why I listen to classical music though.
  19. 2 sides to every story, but sounds like the seller lied. Am sorry for you x.x
  20. Actually that's an opinion. In reality though that's what paying for looks all really comes down to, your own opinions as well as the ones of others. It's the same as if I were to wear full bronze around everywhere. Would I look like a newbie? Yes, because that's the image people have when they see bronze armour. It's not a fact that bronze armour makes you look not as good but rather the stereotype that "bronze is for noobs". Which brings up another point, why do people pay tons of cash for expensive items that are useless? Because in their opinion it makes them unique and cool. A lot of people pay insane amounts of gp to look different or respectable in the eyes of other players. While sometimes stats and bonuses of the equipment come into play, for the most part it's just to meet the opinions and expectations of others. Or to make it easier to get into a team.
  21. I've been trying out turmoil recently, and love this prayer. However, I was wondering when the boost kicked in exactly, since it is based off the levels of the monster one attacks. The "Stat adjustment" bar doesn't show the 29% 32% 29% ADS boost until after my first hit lands. However, does the prayer's boost kick in for the first hit? As in, I turn on turmoil, and spec with AGS, will the full boost already be in effect, or not until the second hit?
  22. No, it wasn't exclusive to the RSOF. It said RIGHT THERE that they changed how the TzHaar shop system works. Stop being a *****.
  23. Just happened monday or tuesday.
  24. Seems to me the lower combat levels mainly are defending the DFS, and the higher combat levels are either admitting that they like it for its looks, even though they know it isn't better than a defender, or are saying they like the strength, and it has other uses. Gee, I wonder whom to trust on this one. Anyway, defender wins hands down for slayer. Except for dragons of course. I wouldn't buy a DFS personally, I would either just get a BSS or buy another spirit shield of some type again. Now, there are some uses for slayer, such as if you have really low defense, but it isn't worth buying just for those cases. Use guthans in that case, or just bank.
