  1. I don't recall seeing any threads like this recently so forgive me if I missed one. So. What do you guys think makes a good member of this forum? Is it someone who: -Offers advice that is both critical and helpful to the topic? -Tries to correct other's mistakes in a positive manner? -Never resorts to flaming and harassing in a debate or conversation? -Often posts humorous comments? -Is very supportive to everybody? What do you guys think? I can name a few who I think are good tipit members but I'd prefer not to mention anyone.
  2. ^ To each his own. Some people dig tattoos. Heck, I kind of like it as long as it's not anything frivolous. I'd never get a tattoo since I think I'm somewhat scared of desecrating my body with that awful feeling getting ink stuck in there permanently. :ohnoes:
  3. Despite what the TC said, it would make sense to block slayer tasks that slow down exp rate. The reason why I listed metals is because they are somewhat slow compared to other tasks. I know using the traditional rapier and extremes would speed up the process but wouldn't that at the same time, speed up other tasks even faster? Most people find slayer appealing because of the variety of drops you can get along with exp. Accumulating drops is actually a thumbs up for making good money if you're dedicated of course. The sight of your bank filling with all kinds of goodies... :shades: The block list is just for preferences on what tasks you enjoy and don't. To each his own. I personally HATE tasks like aberrants (don't ask me why, I just don't like them) along with metals. Even if some may enjoy them I don't and it's not like there are special rules of what tasks you can block and what tasks you can't block. You can sound efficient all you want but I'd rather train slayer without that feeling of "grinding" a skill. Lastly, I wouldn't count on effigies so much. By the time you're done with slayer, you'll end up with a couple of levels here and there which won't really help that much unless you were intent on aiming at a certain level. I use up effigies on farming since I can't stand it.
  4. By the looks of this thread, I can kind of tell you aren't a fan of staking or pking. The best methods will involve risk. It's up to you if you want to take that risk.
  5. Trolls everywhere You blocked 3 of the best tasks in the game (black demons - for charms/effigies/slayer xp, Kalphites - for charms/slayer xp, Suqahs - for slayer xp/and what people claim are good effigies) For TzHaar - isn't that the only way you get Jad tasks (these tasks are extremely fast so there's no real reason not to do it) -- For iron/steel - the effigy rate is pretty good but that's about it Nechryals - are pretty slow and drop decent charms but take way too long to be worth it Dust Devil - bad/slow/horrible/?????? 1. Define troll. 2. Dust devils are fast given you have a slayer helm, and good melee. If you're saying lvl 93s with 0/0 defense and only 105 lp is slow, then you need to stop commenting on slayer threads. O:)
  6. defense + constitution level probably means he used that acc for hunting dragons for gold. The items which were taken might have also been used to sell gold.

Ahh I remember my school had a book fair too. I wasn't there for the books though, except for those cool merchandise associated with the books. :shades:
  8. Pretty much this. Unless you were hunting for the fun of it, there is really no point in abyssal pking just to stop bots.
  9. Tipit has popups. If you use Mozilla or chrome, you'll sometimes see the message above your browser indicating that it blocked a popup from opening. I get those every time I enter tipit mainsite.
  10. Touche. Even my pop-up blocker hasn't been able to block the pop-up ads for the past few years I've visited for the guides and such. Mine is only able to block gifs from slowing down my computer.
  11. Has anyone bothered to donate to tipit forums? Even with all these ads, is it even necessary?

Bonds aren't doing so great either. :|
  13. ^ I wouldnt even pay 100 for a partyhat. Sad thing is, I'm being honest.
  14. Now it is run and owned by different people, with different motives. The Gower brothers no longer control the company which fostered their games, and while I can't speak for the motives they had, I'd say a strong one was to see their game being enjoyed by others. Now, with new controllers, Jagex is a profit center, with the primary motive of returning PROFITS to the shareholders. Be disappointed all you want, it's BUSINESS. 10 years. Change of leadership. Change in motives. Change in goals. If you honestly believe that no other business has done this before, that is a tad naive. Why would new owners be bound by promises made 10 years ago by previous owners, in a different environment than exists now? Jagex is a business. WE GET IT. Increasing their sales is what they're supposed to do. WE KNOW. But a game is supposed to be played for fun. To relax and solace the joy in training and battling other players. Most of us pay for Runescape because of that reason. We as paying customers HAVE A SAY in what we appreciate and what we don't. It's not something to be ignored. No. It's something every company should NOT take it for granted. If it wasn't for US paying for their business, they would have absolutely no control over the game. So therefore, they should listen to us and help us to give back what we payed for. Period. It reminds of this situation where a couple raises a boy name Chris, who grows up and eventually ignores his parents because he became successful with his life and doesn't need his parents anymore. He has billions of dollars, a nice home, car, kids, everything. All that wealth spoiled his mind and forgot the people who helped him in the first place in his time of need. As you can see, Jagex is the epitome of Chris, who is successful, yet nobody likes him because he became notorious for not helping out his parents. Now, can you be honest and tell me who in what world would like Chris?
  15. 1m is barely 50 cents. Even cheaper when you buy in bulk. Won't happen. As much as I'm dubious of Jagex, they will never sink that low into generating their own gold to sell it and [bleep] up the game even more. Using tactics like that is just playing with fire.

LOL. I remember reading those during my elementary years. The one book where Toad gets humiliated for wearing a bathing suit made me chuckle. :XD:
  17. Yeah. Kinda lame too since slayer requires more patience than *possibly* any other skill. I wouldn't suggest easter eggs. They are rare indeed but not enough people seem to want them. If you're looking for a first rare, buy something wearable. Although contrary to that statement, it's pretty rare to buy a phat as a first rare.
  18. read the topic about 15% off membership & bonus xp weekend. Btw I am hoping on some slayer only untradeable drops :) Yes please. Vine whip is definitely a step in the right direction because it requires a slayer level to wield it. I'd like to see more of that along with this idea.
  19. Rare = Discontinued items which can no longer be obtained in Runescape through any source. My rares are a red phat, blue red mask, and a santa.
  20. As I said in my last post, you can vote multiple times on the same game. If you ask me, it's probably Jagex who's tampering with votes since they seem to be the only company desperate to win that award.
  21. Mine ends on the 10th. :P Lucky for me, because I'll be using that last day grinding thieving until I'm down to 10%. After that, I can finally say good riddance to this game. Rares are dipping a little. I have just about enough to buy either a blue or red mask and a santa hat. (If they dip even more) I can probably end up with red before my membership is up. Since rares are shooting through the roof ever since ft, I just might get lucky enough to invest in these rares and finally upgrade my phat after almost a year...
  22. Those people who seem convinced that a "real" women cannot be thin and have boobs. Carrie Fisher isn't exactly big. To each his own I guess. To me, that Star Wars woman looks like she hasn't gotten enough to eat. :-w
  23. ^ What the heck are you talking about?....
