  1. If you're visiting in hopes to find a more quiet place to train, you're out of luck. You will still see bots, many of which are all similar to the bots you see in US or UK servers. The best tip I can give you is play off-hours where player size is limited. This will not take care of bots, but you won't be competing with any (if not little) players when training a skill or killing monsters.
  2. ^Please correct me if I'm wrong but aren't those auras, which come with the Loyalty program offer in-game bonuses? The points you have, the better the bonuses are.
  3. Nice collection but you probably won't get much from it. Just sayin'.
  4. I've heard from random people saying that Runescape currently has the most votes. Not exactly sure how they know that but although as skeptical as that may sound, there are ways to take advantage of the system and vote as many times as you want....And so, this is where the fat lady sings.
  5. @ the Argentinian model; That cleft under her raises a lot of interesting questions...
  6. Runescape will last 10 years? I seriously doubt that. With the constant trend of upcoming online games, I don't think Jagex will even bother updating Runescape and will probably focus on their other upcoming online games. I mean, face it. Runescape WAS a great game but now I just think it's getting to the point of no return. Runescape will never be that golden-age of online games we thought it was. I've been on and off for 7 years and now I can hardly bear to keep up with updates since Runescape is just getting soooo boring! All of my friends think Runescape is crap, and they all moved on to League of Legends, Maplestory, Perfect World, or Minecraft. I used to have tons of people online but now they all quit because of the same thing; Runescape is slowly turning into a big pile of ****hole. Just look at it now and tell me I'm wrong, is Runescape even a playable game with 500-1000+ bots in each server? Is Runescape ever going to be the same? If the worse comes to us, will Jagex give a [bleep] and try to help out?..... Jagex has really hit the nail this time. They're constantly "milking" Runescape which is the lowest thing any business would do instead of finding a solution to help out legitimate customers. They're even "bribing" us to vote for them, without acknowledging the fact that they will have no chance they are going to win the GJ awards. It just shows that Jagex doesn't even care about us and expects to have everything their way like a spoiled child -- Who doesn't need to listen to anyone, who never wants to help or change anything, and incapable of becoming the best. I used to like Runescape but that was only when Jagex wasn't a such corporate [wagon] and actually tried to improve Runescape for PLAYERS AND NOT MONEY. Now I think Jagex is the most lazy, greedy, and heinous game company in the world. Why? Because they shouldn't even be considered one. What kind of company would 1. Not give a [bleep] about their customers? 2. Contradict themselves so many times, just to make more money? and 3. Hire someone so stupid and mentally challenged like MMG for its CEO? /done ranting
  7. As I remember, they did a commercial before, in Germany or The Netherlands. Well, as I far as I know, it would make a whole lot more sense to advertise in America, since we're so big into online gaming and plus the fact that many runescapers are there.
  8. Maybe you overlooked into something like phishing (a fraudulent mail sent to you claiming this and that, and you click on whatever was attached like a link or a document, triggering a info stealing virus) or setting up poor security questions, which happens to be an answer somebody might know. If you have friends who play Runescape, it probably could of been them. If you were hacked unknowingly, then somebody who knows your account exists obviously stole your password.
  9. That's not how it works my friend, He's right. He may have a good rep from the RS community, but not the TIF community. There are OTers who will probably not know who the heck Jib is. If he want's a modship here, he need's to work up that status just like the rest of us. That's not how it works my friend, If he acts the same way here he did on there, he'd be very popular. No he won't. It's like the old saying "You can't win them all." He may have opinions others may not like and there may be people who think he is crazy, stupid, dumb, whatever. It would be really unfair if all he had to do was sign in to become a mod here, even when he just first visited this site. Then people who don't like him or especially don't know him will probably think TIF is catering to the "populars" which puts a very bad mark on pretty much anything.
  10. Vote for League of Legends, as that seems to be the biggest competition. This. It seems like LoL is being voted on by players and non players alike. Those who don't know the game vote on it because they know LoL has been very popular for awhile. People are choosing it so Jagex cannot win the award. Although Runescape is still leading in votes... For those who don't know, LoL has NO RELATION to Runescape. LoL is a RT strategy game originated from another RT strategy game called Warcraft III: Frozen Throne. The creators of a popular Frozen Throne customized game called DotA (Defense of the Ancients) published their own "DotA" instead of publishing it in Frozen Throne. I played Both Frozen Throne (since 6th grade) and LoL. If you're into games like Starcraft, you might like LoL. Even though not entirely similar, they both rely on strategy. As for the company of LoL which is Riot Games, they seem to care more about the player base than Jagex. But unlike Jagex, you can get penalized for leaving the game both un-intentionally and intentionally. I haven't played much LoL since my comp can't handle the FPS but unlike Runescape, you cannot customize LoL to make it fit your computer's processor. So I personally think It's a dog eat dog situation.
  11. Doesn't those two kind of go hand in hand? :-? If he wasn't like saying "wow look how many bots there are", then he definitely would say something different.
  12. Private servers are beyond ridiculous. It's like playing on someone else's sandbox. This is just another step for Jagex to show their intent to gain money like cash cows. I've pretty much gave up on Runescape & Jagex. Since I'm no longer a member, this update won't matter to me but what really bothers me is how much Jagex used to care about bots and rwt becoming an epidemic in the past. Now all of the sudden, they suddenly don't give a rat's ass about anything. They're looking into every nook and cranny of how to gain subscribers which pisses me off since they don't need to "cater" to legitimate players any longer. Their only concern is to care for potential customers to support them since the majority is what Jagex cares about. It's clear to me that Jagex doesn't need to care about it's loyal players at all. We make like what? 10% of the total membership? While Bots and newbies make up the rest of the pie and so, this is the reason of how updates like this come to fruition. To support the majority and at the same time, their business. So we may "think" they sold out, but in reality, the majority are probably going like  to Jagex for making their game easier and not realizing the same thoughts as we do.
  13. He joined 10 minutes ago and the first thing he posts is a link in General Discussion. How did you not think something phishy was going on? ^ +1 Back on Topic: We already suspect Jagex is no longer under the Gower brother's control. Even though Andrew still plays a role in the development of Runescape, he and Paul simply don't have any significant power over Jagex anymore.
  14. ....... Yeah. That's all I could think of when I saw that. On the bright side, at least noone could see it!

  17. First and foremost is the free trading re-introduced in Feb 2011. Clan support including capes, citadels, and banners. Massive return of the inevitable including bots, scammers, and GE spammers. Everything else is minor. Just read the BTS at the homepage.

    Money

^^ Using Stocks to raise money is a really bad proposition since it's a matter of investing money. I wouldn't count on it so much. If you have a career, it's usually a much better opportunity than any kind of investment. If you are really into investing, umm, I wouldn't say don't do it but it's not going to be as reliable since there's also a chance you may end up broke.

    Money

I drive my mom to and from work. Gets me about 50 dollars every 2 weeks + another 50 for expenses. I occasionally work for my dad. 8-10 hrs is around 60 bucks. Finanical aid is around $7K a year. Never use the money but just save it for emergency.
  21. Rofl @TC: Use a foreign server or a 1500+ TL world. Cuts down the number of young teenage hormonal pkers. I'd like to point out that in the world of sex, spanking isn't an oddity. I love how on-topic this is. I love how off-topic your statement is.
  22. I'm not a big pking fan but if you're fighting lower lvl pkers, go for it. I heard smite works really well against pkers who lack defense.
