Does revenge lead to regret?
One thing I've never understood about revenge is that one Shakespeare quote proverb: "Revenge is a dish best eaten cold." It seems to me that the longer you wait to take revenge the stupider it seems, to you, the person you're taking revenge on, and the people watching. If you're going to take revenge, it makes more sense to do it before your anger dies down and everyone forgets what you're taking revenge for.

Today...
I has this realization today: you know how, when Justin Beiber first became popular, everyone was like "He's going to lose his popularity when his voice deepens"? His balls have dropped and I'm still hearing his music on the radio on the rare occasion that I am forced to listen to it. And people still hate him for no particular reason. Otherwise, I've been in town all day trying to talk to my paper route supervisor so I can quit. I got here at 12, gave him an hour so he could eat lunch, went in to talk to him, found out he was at lunch. Hopefully he's there at 3. Edit: He was there. I talked to him and, unless something goes wrong, today is my last day of doing papers ever. Gonna write a goodbye note to my route, then go do papers. 8 years man. In other news, I went to the Subway near the interstate in Kearney for the first time ever. There were three really good looking girls, all from different vehicles at different times, who showed up in the like half hour I was there. All out of towners. I think I'm going to have to eat at that Subway more often.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
TIF mods faked the moon landing alongside President Obama. Now whenever someone discovers their secret, they find him, drag him into the desert, and leave him there to die. This may very well be my past post ever guys.

Most Embarrasing moment
That's a good one. For me, there are certain trigger phrases that cause certain responses as a result of my time in the service industry, especially since taller was one of my jobs. More than once I have found myself accidently reversing the role of teller and customer, where I guess I am essentially thanking them for letting me shop there. I'm not even sure if they notice, or if I just seem ridiculously polite or what, but it embarrasses me. I say thank you to cashiers. I've always viewed that as more of a "Thanks for helping me" kind of thing than a "Thanks for letting me shop here."

Total post count
It wasn't something I noticed right away, but it seems like the ability to see people's true post count (i.e. including Forum Games, Fally Tavern, etc.) has disappeared. It was something that was nice to have, especially for the people who have the majority of their posts in non-tallied sections. Is there any chance that can make a return? Or maybe that I missed it somehow, and it's still here? Edit: Oh, I just now found this. I apparently missed this post. I'll look into the first issue, it might not be changeable but we'll see. Secondly, we didn't, might want to ask IPS why they chose to do that. :P As long as you're looking into, I'm cool.

Today...
Yesterday, I took a female friend to the fair, and we walked around just talking for a while before we got on any rides. I really hate Carnis. Even he had like 3k posts, at least. Yeah Kevin. Come back when you've got at least 1k posts, nub. Though, I'll be honest, your name seems familiar for some reason.

If someone is pooping on you for pretty much anything, you need to make sure that shit stops right away.

Does anyone know if the references you supply on a Master Promisory Note for a Stafford Loan are contacted? Are the references just vouchers, or are they people who the goverment goes to if I don't pay back my loan? Also, it says to list two people who don't live with me, but also says to list at least one parent/guardian. This is stupidly confusing.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Ended relationships don't always end in ended friendships. Most of the time they do, just not always. The question becomes whether or not there's something substantial enough between you and your current partner to work through it. Isn't that the whole point of a relationship? I agree, but a "friendship" where one party still likes the other party and the other party isn't sure whether they do or not is not just a friendship. Why isn't it? Why can't it be? Why is the fact that you like someone a deterrent to being just friends with them? I mean, hell, I've done it 4 times now, just because someone likes a girl doesn't mean he's automatically going to force her to cheat on her boyfriend. I'm not saying I understand the situation or the people exactly, but believe it or not, some guys do have self control.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
I'm sort of in the position of the ex in my own life, so from that point of view what I would say you need to do is to talk to him. Make sure he isn't going to try to drive a wedge in your relationship, and make sure he knows that you don't appreciate him telling your girlfriend he still likes her if she's still in a relationship with you. It's not something he can really help, but I agree with you that he shouldn't be making things harder for you two by not getting over her. Don't tell him not to hang out with her, don't forbid them from being friends, just let the ex know that no shit can be going on between them. I will say this too, if you break up, you'll be playing right into his hands.

"I want a girlfriend/boyfriend", and other such relationship advice
Oh wow, this may be the first time I agree with Muggi. Who's being disrespectful in this situation, your girlfriend who wants to keep what is obviously an important friend to her, or you when you tell her that she can't have a certain friend because you feel jealous?

Today...
Anyone know why flags are half-staff today? The Colorado shooting was a few days ago, so it seems like the flags should have been half staff already if it were that. Otherwise, today has pretty much been chapter 11 of Great Gatsby: hot and angry. Some kids are going to show up tomorrow and find out they were fired. I'm excited.

how many warning points do you have?
I think I've heard of stones before, but that certainly did not come to mind. Huh. I guess I assumed that was out of use nowadays. Guess not.

I can't think of a common system of measurement in which 14 is a normal number for weight. 14 pounds, kilograms, tons, what?

Today...
Literally everything in Nebraska is feed corn or seed corn. There's less than a hundred sweet corn fields around where I live, I'm sure. We still get drenched because farmers leave the pivots on until we show up at the field. Found out today that I'm missing Cruise Night, which is my town's big community thing that gets a ton of hype every year. I thought we might be done since we started before the fourth, but nope. I just hope my friends set up something for the fair next week, otherwise I'm pretty much screwed for hanging out with them all again before college. And I really want to see the people I haven't seen all summer because of jobs.

Do farmers in your area not irrigate their crops? We haven't had much rain this year, but because of the heat, the corn is growing better this year than it ever has in my memory. None of the corn is dead either; usually a few fields are lost to storms, but there's been no loss this year.

Today...
On my detasseling bus this year, there's a group of tools who play RS. They have talked about it every day, and since I was back to RS for a little while, I knew that they were up to date on their knowledge. They've talked about it every day since day 1 too, so they're fairly into it. Anyway, today was a very late day - 5 in the morning to 5 in the evening, which is the latest day I've ever had in four years. So one kid, Long, who is the biggest in that group of tools, made this statement about 2 o'clock: "I'm so mad, I just want to go home and shower and then get on Runescape and just [bleep]ing kick someone's ass. I wanna make someone cry, seriously." He said it like he was the manliest man ever. I almost died laughing.
