  1. Well, after some nice tasks from Duradel (Dagganoths, Dust Devils) he assigned me Steel Dragons. 49 to be exact. Now I never been there, sinds I could only possibly melee Irons. But don't want to end up dead. Since I don't have the levels to melee Steels, range and magic is left. But since these guys are made from steel, I doubt range is a good option, although my range level is higher then my magic level. I need some advice: I only have mystics, 67 magic, 72 range, 81 hp, 72 slayer. I could try mage them with: level 67 Slayer helmet Mystic top Mystic bottom Mystic boots Slayer staff (for slayer dart) or air staff/fire staff Beacon ring/Ring of wealth/Ring of life Fury amulet/amulet of magic/glory Anti fire shield (absolutly a must) (wich cape? Obby cape is what I have) Range is pretty much straight forward: Level 72 Slayer helmet Black D'hide top Sara chaps Black vambraces Rune c'bow Broad bolts/emereld tipped bolts (e) Accumulator Ring of life/Ring of wealth Fury/Glory amulet Wich way I can kill them good, without getting myself killed in 5 minutes?
  2. If you used todays prices, I think you didn't calculated wrong. With the new herblore update, prices for herbs went through the roof. So I could imagine you lose much money by buying all the stuff.
  3. Thnx for replies. Well, he was freaking me out. So that he had accomplished. He is reported, and I hope he will get a ban. This isn't fun anymore.
  4. I bought a ss two days ago. Paid 10.9 mil for it. Price was comming a little bit down, but I think it won't matter with the ss. It will never drop far beyond 10 mil I think. I just love the sword. It's the best strength training weapon. So when training strength, always use your ss. Really, it's better then dscim + rune defender, although people would suggest otherwise.
  5. Well here's the thing. I was fletching, and suddenly someone with the name: Wharmbo007 contacts me as a friend, saying I was using offensive language yesterday and get a ban for life. Now I don't know much about mods from Jagex, but what I do know is the won't contact you about bans, they just give you one. He said when I log off, I was banned for ever. I tried it, but I could log in, just as normal. So I was sure this guy was fooling around. Or am I wrong? I was pissed off, reported the player for impersonating the staff, but know I'm not feeling fine about that. I searched the guy on Highscores, not very high stats, so I couldn't understand it was Jagex staff...
  6. Lol, just some quick calculation next time. No problem, happend to me before I was absolutly sure a method was good, until someone suggested using a calculator :wall: Well, even if 500-600K isn't top notch, he don't have to spend his last days on Membership all on gaining money. But also: plant your best herbs and farm them after 80 or 90 minutes!!
  7. With your stats, grab your best armour and weapon, maybe 2 pieces of food, and go down the Chaos Tunnels and kill Green Drags. Since D'bones went through the roof, you can make easy money. Plant the best herbs you can on the four patches, and farm them every 1,5 hour. By selling the hides and bones you can make a good bit of money. Up to 600K an hour. Not even included your herbs. The site mentioned, seemd to me a bit noob, but when I took a better look, there are some great ways to make money. You can also try tanning hides. Just grab your cash, and buy green hides, tan them, sell them. For every hide you get 176 gp profit. So on every 1000, you gain 176K gp extra.
  8. I did some calculations because I tried the tanning methode. Nowadays red d'hides give the most profit. But won't buy and sell to good. Green hides are on number two, but are easy to buy and sell. With a profit of 196 - 20 = 176 gp each hide you sell. Black hides are the worst of hide tanning with only 137-20 = 117 gp each hide.
  9. Saradomin Sword is the best strength training weapon. For sure. Price is comming down a bit I saw. It's mostly what you want: fast exp, no questions asked Or fast exp, and want some drops. If you just want 99 strength, armoured zombies are the way to go. With altar just up the ladder, you won't need food, pray pots etc. Use full void and pitty and slash away.
  10. Well, if you search just for xp, fishing guild is the one to go. You can enter right away with 71 fishing. At 71, sharks isn't an option, and even if you get to 76 for sharks, they are slow. By the time you have 99 fishing, it's probably worth it to fish sharks for money  Go for lobsters, I can manage to sell lots of lobsters, always in demand. If you want to go for swordfish, I would reccomend keeping the tuna's you catch along with swordies. Tuna's are in demand to for tuna potato, and on the other hand, have decent cooking xp (100xp) if you want to cook someday.
  11. I'm glad too. Yesterday I started with your suggestion on yew longs and bowstrings. Well, brought me little profit. But 63K on a thousand yew longs is working long, but with little stack, a good way. People still buy yew longs for high alching them. Remarkable xD And I love the fireworks above my head wich means I have leveled fletching again  Now I get my [bleep] tanning, and hopefully have the sword soon xD @ Morningrise I'm a level 70 slayer now, and after I got the money for the sword, or maybe in between, I will go slayer again. And with slayer comes combat, and with combat comes the Waterfiends (I've blocked them right now, because there is no way I can pay for many pray pots now). And with that, I like the dagganoths, dust devils etc. So it's for the long run, and a status thingy xD
  12. @ GeoffBraceRS Wel I know green dragons are easy kills, but what I wanted was the best set-up, and method of maximizing the profit an hour. But you are right, I know there is a good guide in AoW, I search for it. @ qeltar I just love your opinion! I went through the guides, and I think tanning is one thing for me, although I don't have the spirit terrorbird, I think I can make good money. It will only cost my some more time, but hey, that's life baby. Based on the costs today, Red hides are the one to go, with a total profit of 244 each. Then greens with profit of 196, then blue with profit 143, and black is last with 137 profit. I will use your guide, that's for sure!
  13. Hm I like the sound of Green Drags, but then I prefer the Chaos Tunnels. More because every time I went to wildy, I killed 10 dragons, and then annoying revenants showed up. But then I need some advice on iventory and set-up. Probably tele with glory to edgeville after each trip, and go back? I have 80 att, 79 def and str, 41 summ, 81 hp, I have whip, dragon scimi, the orange fire shild, so what would be the ideal set-up? Fishing is one thing I love, but sharks is going to cost me more time then green drags I suppose... Well, I do have 80 wc, my hunter is good enough to catch chins (not red), fishing is 83 (so going to 85 would get me probably to the Living Rock thingies), crafting isn't profitable with 62 crafting I guess, mining isn't my cup of tea, and smithing...well don't know about that with money making.
  14. Well, I'm at a point that I want a good Strength training weapon. Now I use the dragon scimitar, but I thought of getting my hands on the SaraSword. Now I need 6 mil. I have 5 in bank, so when I have 6 mil extra, I will hold 1 mil just in case. I need some tips. And don't suggest MTK, because I don't have the quests, and I'm not about to do it between now and 6 months... Usually I go fishing, sharks or monks. But any other suggestions?
  15. I just completed Defender of Varrock, and I fought some armoured zombies. Now I thought I read about some people killing the zombies after the quest. But the tip.it site isn't very clear about the fact wether these guys are only during the quest, or become available after the quest. And why someone would battle the armoured zombies? Noted planks I guess...but I don't know for sure. Second question is about the Tzaar dungeon. I've been there quiet a few times last days, and I see people attacking the creatures there. What are those guys after? And is it even profitable? Thnx in advance
  16. So, I decided that Duradel was the guy to ask assignments from. After Dagonnaths (easy kill if you go to Lighthouse), now the cabbage wants me to kill black dragons. Point being: never been to black dragons. Att, def, strength is 79 HP 80 Pray 55 Summ 41 (so no terrorbird or bunyip or whatever) Range 71 So some questions: 1. What is the best place to kill them? 2. I want melee, so proslyte armor with pray pots and the anti dragonfire potions will sound as my choice. Good one, or am I out of my mind with that? 3. If black dragons become crowded, or whatever, skip to baby blacks can be an idea? 4. Is ranging a posibillity, although it would take some time to kill one dragon? 5. If I want to range, I will use the obelisk exit I thing in Taverly dungeon. Good option?
  17. Yew log + string = 593 gp Yew longbow sells for 681 gp Little profit.
  18. Hm thanks guys, I will try to sell them. Now a more...moneymaking question. If I choose to buy yew logs and strings, do they sell on ge for people high alching? And is it a bit profit? Or break even?
  19. Well I calculated some things for fletching. I bought 19K maple logs (only 500K), so I could reach level 80, from 72. But in the end, I will end up, with 19K maple longbows (u). Can someone tell me if the things sell on GE, or what to do with it? I doubt I should high alch them all, because I only loose money if I buy 19K nats...
  20. Where can ahrim and del monte be found?
  21. Well mister smartypants, you want another idea? I give you one: Buy plain pizza (cooked) as you read through the forum, you find a topic wich mentions 300 gp for plain pizza. Get yourself pineapples. Lots of pineapples. Only 1 gp if you buy at the right plays. Total costs: 301 gp Slice pineapples and add to plain pizza. Every pineapple you do gives 4 rings. You do the math. Pineapple pizzas sells for 1.5K atm. That's 1199 gp profit. Consider moneymaking as boring. Although you could try monster hunting (although with your stats that's suicide), but in the long run, you can make lots and lots of money with the old boring ways. People worked hard for their cash, and did the same thing. So stop whining about boredom, and go moneymaking. The gp should make things eventually better.
  22. Plain pizzas are used for making pizzas, of course. But now wich one. Pineapple pizza. Heals 22 in two bites. Heals as much as a tuna potato (althoug that's in one bite). Much easier to make, and nowadays a good moneymaker.
  23. Hard to tell. It's what you prefer. Some people go merchanting, although it's harder with GE. Cutting yews would be a moneymaker. Smith steel bars. Fishing (my favorite, monks sell so easy, lobsters easy to fish, and even sharks are good money).
  24. You should use Duradel as your master. Your combat and slay is high enough for him. Also consider spending some points on the slayer helmet, it has so much benefits. Also spend some on blocking tasks. As your slayer level rises, you get annoying tasks such as hell hounds, steel dragons, wyverns, anquitis (spelling?) etc. Block the ones you don't like. It won't cost you tons of points, and when reaching level 90, you have plenty to spend. A bunyip seems to work very good, so consider raising your summ level. Spend points on slayer rings (learn how to craft, and just get them from the master). Also spending some for slayer dart may help you get enough runes without burning your cash.
  25. Well, I have 67 magic, but my summoning is with only 36 not high. It might be a good idea to train that as much as I can... Thnx for replies, I think I can switch to better gear now, or use the darn cannon and range away. Thnx to all!
