  1. Zammy Spear or Saradomin Sword are better options at waterfiends. And as suggested: read Kents Summoning guide, wich has a Waterfiends section with iventory and such. Karils or black d'hide. Karils if you have the money, or have it in bank. Otherwise black d'hide.
  2. If you are willing to do that, do it! In members there is so much more to do, more quests, mini-games, more ways to train skills etc. etc. If you are member again, you can hunt some green drags (in members you can, lol) for bones and hides, to have some income. Don't know wich quests you already did when you left. Some are pretty handy, like the Lost City, Fairy Tale part 2, Shilo VIllage, Tears of Guthix and so much more.
  3. Yes, slayer is the best option to get combat up. And some monsters can drop quiet some nice stuff, even if you are lower level. Clue's can be really worth it to expend your cashpile. If you think you aren't up for a task, Burthope and get a new one. Don't hessitate. If your combat is better, go with the Lost City yes, for the dragon longsword and dragon dagger. You might want to poisen the dagger for better use  And try to do some quests wich are available. Questing can be fun, and can have some nice exp along. Don't know about the requirements for Tears of Guthix quest. If you can do it, do it FIRST. Once a week you can enter a cave, collect the blue tears and drink the tears. You get exp for your lowest skill. Keep in mind you need 100K exp gained in a week OR 1 questpoint gained in a week before you can enter the cave. A nice way of making some money, and get some combat expierence is herbs. Herbs went through the roof with the herblore update and the overload potions. Non tradeable, so higher level herblorists need to make them on their own, buying the herbs. Chaos Druids (level 13) drop a lot of herbs, and sometimes some seconds. You can keep some herbs for own use, and sell the others. Last but not least, do what is fun for you. It's all about fun
  4. I really felt for this, mainly because I hoped to see a tiny thing of the things to come this year. Maybe it's a good suggestion to Jagex  I must confess, that I read about Oktober, and I was like: since when Jagex went on beer drinking like the Germans? Although it sounded like fun. Drinking beer in Mos L'harmless with a few mates and dwarves in German costumes
  5. I was excited with the first article. Fairy Tale Part 3 sounds good, and the night/daytime should be really fun. Even the quest with muddy water, and the UFT sounded to good to be true! But then again, when something seems to good to be true, it usually is. Still, I gonna play RS, even if the updates aren't what I hoped.
  6. So I had a littel discussion last night. A friend of my was totally into killing tortoises at the Khazard Battlefield (level 92). He said it's good xp, and the drops can be good if you get your hands on the tortoise shields wich are 11.8K nowadays. A disagreed, that tortoise killing is a xp booster, although they have 120 hp, and only hit because of the level 5 mage on his back. Now I started to think: well, easy killing, no food used (because of the gnome cuisine drops) and earn some money. Why am I diasgreeing? So, is it worth it killing them for the xp? I'm not sure, I still disagree, is there someone who has experience with it?
  7. Happend to me once. It's totally random if you get it or not. I must say the exp lamp is almost everytime in the box, but you are one of the lucky ones, such as me, who had a random event without the lamp. In my case, I just took the herbs (3 Toadflax). Just for chosing something.
  8. Hm, I just looked it up at the bestiary, and they are indeed P2P. Odd, I was convinced F2P players had access to them to in wildy... But the hide work and bones are P2P, so you CAN wear the green D hide as best range equipment in F2P, but can't craft it. Why was I convinced of green drags being F2P? Probably by Elvarg...
  9. As for your question: I don't know. But I remember there was a guy on the forums who asked this too, and people suggested grey chins. Less costs, exp is only little less. Can someone confirm, or bust this?
  10. Turning them into shards is horrible advice when the scrolls sell for more then the shards you get back. That's why I mentioned it as an "you can also try". It's just an option you can consider. It's op to the Poster of this thread to decide, not to us.
  11. Woops! I Edit that. Damn, long time I did this quests...sorry for that. BTW: Tears of Guthix is a very usefull quest. If you don't have it, do it. One time a week you can access the cave and collect the tears and drink them. They will give you exp in your lowest skill. Then there are more quests: Ghost Ahoy for the ectophial. Desert Treasure and Lunar Diplomacy unlocks two different spellbooks, wich are pretty handy in time. If you plan to do barrows, Priest in Peril and Nature Spirit are the ones to go. In Search of the Myreque unlocks a tunnel to the boat ride, wich drops you off just outside Barrows. In Aid of the Myreque unlocks a bank in Burgh the Rott. Pretty handy for quick bank access between barrow runs.
  12. Lost City gives you access to Zanaris, Heroes quest unlucks Dragon mace and Dragon battleaxe. However people doubt the use of them, just do the quest! Fairy tale part 1 is essential for part 2 of this quest! Fairy tale part 2 unlocks the fairy rings. A good way of cheap travel. Note on this one: YOU DON'T HAVE TO END THE QUEST! Most in the beginning you have acces to the fairy ring. Monkey Madness gives you the ability to use the dragon scimitar. Usefull quest, but a bit annoying. Enlightend Journey unlocks Hot Balloon travel. So towns like Taverly are easy access. Edgars Ruse unlucks the trollheim teleport. Usefull when you go to GWD. Now I know there was one quest that unlocks the ability to tele to Ardanouge. I forget wich one it was...
  13. Strung yewbows are still a favorite alch on RuneScape. As I buy the unstrung bows and bowstrings, I sell the strung bows on ge, and the sell instantly, because the high alch price is more then the cost of one bow at ge. You might want to craft your own nature runes if possible to get the best of it, and don't lose any big money.
  14. Agreed. F2P has not changed very much. It's really hard to give some advice what to train up. I would say combat. So buy melee stuff, range stuff, and mage stuff. Then try to hunt for some good monsters and train your stats. You can try the green drags in wildy to get bones and hides. So you can train prayer (or sell the bones, since they are still expensive) And the hides you can use for crafting when you feel like crafting
  15. I love you guys. Thnx for all the advice
  16. Infuse them and turn into scrolls is one option. You can also keep some for yourself and spam fruitfall for the papaya fruit. You can also try to go to O'ogloe or something, the ogre enclave, and earn back 70% of your used shards. So if u used 100 shards for a pouch, he gives 70 shards for the pouch. The guy that "buys" also accepts noted, might be worth the try for some pouches (not all 600, because the scrolls sell good, and give some exp).
  17. But to work in a nuttshell: as it seems to good to be true, usally it is. Well I'm pretty happy with my pile of crimson charms, around 1K or something atm...so I will check out the guide, and not hunt for the blue charms.
  18. That's what I used to do, slayer. And every charm is comming in often, exept the blue ones. Is it my luck that's still broken or something else?
  19. As I've set myself some goals, one of them is training summoning up. At this time I can't use a Spirit Terrorbird, wich is very usefull for storage and the ability to tireless run. I was thinking of some ways to train summoning, and what came to my mind was: minotaurs. They give a nice exp/gp ratio, and are good exp. Then again, there must be "but" in the story, and that's the blue charms. So I started thinking again. Gaining the blue charms gonna cost me time, and probably harder monsters to kill. Any suggestions on training? Charms isn't really a problem, exept for the blue ones. Wich is the "but" in this story. 1. I need monsters who drop blue charms (consider the Waterfiends as knowledge for their charm drops, any other monster that drops blue charms more often?) 2. If the minotaur isn't the best way to go, go with Pyrelords in my case, then switch to Magpie, then bloated leech? 3. Any other suggestions? NOTE: eventually, my goal is Bunyip, any suggestions for the long term goal are welcome to.
  20. Well at AZ, and since you are not in a rush, I would reconsider the bunyip. Training at AZ is free because of the praying method and altar just up the ladder. So the bunyip can be a question. Since you say that you aren't in a rush, just use slayer. More different tasks, although some tasks will come by you aren't going that fast. If you want the AZ, I think the set-up is good. Keep in mind that they will be crowded at peak times.
  21. Well as said: with the Kuradel dungeon it isn't needed anymore with better spots and options. Wich comes to my final conclusion: happy slaying!! And to Morningrise333: You think you hear something, but you heard it wrong. So you assume something wich isn't true. Just SSSHHHH :shame:
  22. Now your just being a cabbage here dude. You assume that I don't know NOTHING of slaying, and because you have higher levels, I couldn't argue with you. I do argue. Even if the exp isn't that great, because "We're slaying here" it's op to Gold to read and consider. I give him a tool, so he can look for himself. And he makes his choice. Oh, and next time, don't try to better the better man because you spend more time on RS then I do.

  24. I find it odd that at 85,85, 80 I potted to do a wyvern for fally diary and I killed it no problems at all, I didn't even have to use a whole pot to do it. NB: I say pot but i cant rember if its a pot a pie or a beer tht boosts slayer, either way u get the idea. Killing one wyvern is nothing like killing 70. While slaying, you want (or should want) to go as fast as possible. Wyverns are an annoying task that take a fairly long time with little return. Assuming that you don't get a visage, that is. I'd say wyverns become a piece of cake once you can use soul split, turmoil, and a yak. Otherwise, they're quite annoying. On this forum there is a AoW guide with missunderstood monsters. Wyverns can be a pain in the cabbage, but the guide shows it's not bad money at all. And with the right equipment, it's not as hard and annoying you assume it is. So to the poster of this thread: look for the guide and make your decision. Even the freezing part isn't a real reason to kick them, and block the task. Well on to the question: iron drags, steel drags and black drags are three you should DO. With the Kuradel dungeon, it's easier to get to the metal drags, and Black Drags aren't bad exp. Bloodvelds are pretty annoying, everytime I get a bloodveld task I want to jump off Lumbridge Castle. But it's good exp, and the charms come in frequently. I was thinking of blocking them, but I don't do it. Hellhounds is a task I would block. No drops, exp isn't that good, and the only reason you CAN do them, is the gold charm drop and clue drop. But then again, for both drops, there's a better monster you should consider. Don't know about kalphites, usually I get the task, I hop to a world, and got a dungeon just for myself. Not that bad. Consider the hellhound option, and look for the misunderstood monsterguide in AoW. Then make a decision for yourself. Morningrise333 is just hating them. That point he made here
  25. I'm quiet sure you can't pot the requirements. So you should do some training in order to start the quest.
