I'm not wanting to take the topic over, but: I can hit 75 slayer pretty soon. Can I use the fairy ring to get there, and use a spade and 5 mushrooms on it? Or do I need a trip through the Ancient Cavern in order to fix the fairy ring?
  2. You put away the best moneymakers in F2P so far. Well, exept for RC waterrunes. Mining iron for some cash, and when you hit 60, enter the mining guild and mine coal is an option you can consider. Since you don't want steelbars, it's not worth it to keep the ores I guess. Someone said merchanting: go merchanting if you understand how it works, and what you have to do. On a daily base you must check prices, and sell at the right time. It will take some time though. And with a stack of 544K it is not likely you can double that quickly with merchanting. So RC waterrunes, and mining iron, and at 60, coal in the guild. Well, you can enter when you are 59, and use dwarfstout. It's only 3 gp in the bar in Falador. Worth the money to get access to lots of coals if you ask me.
  3. Cannonballs and unfinished mith bolts won't loose you money. But the making of cannonballs is slow. So it's a task you can do while doing something else, like chatting with friends on msn. The cheapest option (and slowest) there is, is mining gold, and make them into bars with the smithing gauntlets after Family crest. You need a whole lot of ores though. So you can mine some, and buy ores, sell bars, buy new ores from it, and top it off with mining your own.
  4. There are three places to kill Bloodvelds: - Slayer tower (crowded) - GWD in Zamorak encampment (not crowded, but you need a Zammy item, I suggest the dragonhide legs or torso. Cheap, and wearing the dhide makes the hit less often. - After legacy of seergaze (not done the quest, and you want 99 def first) So I guess the GWD is a good bet, if you want to take the trip there. If not, your only option is the Slayer Tower.
  5. Well as said, I would try to get an estimated exp rate/hour. I went there and found other people there, so basiclly sometimes I had to wait. In 10 minutes I got 8456 exp, multipli with 6, and I got around 50K. I must confess my focus was rather low, and it didn't helped when crowded. I did spotted and dark kebbits, bury the bones, and drop the furs when needed. I waited till my iventory contained 1 bone, 26 furs and my lunar staff. On a field with just you hunting there, and no lunar staff, I think you could get 55K exp an hour when focused. So is it underrated, or is falcon just one of the things you can do, but it's not much of a benefit?
  6. The first article cleared some things yes. I'm not much in RS history, although the God Wars is a thing I would love to know more about. This article helps. The second article is....late. But when I read it, I was like: damn, was that in 2007?! It seems like it was just a year ago al those updates. Time goes fast :ohnoes: But the item lending system is a different way of lending something to friends you did before. But now it's clear when you get the item back, without asking it on msn or RS the whole time. And people asking and asking and asking for your item, is just a way of tell them no, and walk away. A while ago there was a dude that asked for my whip. After telling hem no several times, I just walked away. You get some words from him, mostly like: noob, n00b, noeb and such. I couldn't care less. I said no 5 times, and he still didn't understand. That's the only negative effect: not all people on RS know when to stop asking. No=no. And some people just don't understand...
  7. Could just be underrated, I haven't tested falconry for about 2 years. Could you run some xp tests and let us know what you get? I will run a test on them, for dark and spotted for now. I'm curious if it's underrated....will check that out!
  8. Reached my goal, but slightly different. I did red sals. They came in good, but I was a little tired of them. My focus went down. I tried falconry. Because I liked that before. It seems that the exp came in faster. Is this mainly because I like falconry, or is the falcon underrated?
  9. Some people think there is new armour comming up, so prices went down a little. Also merch clans are ruining the economy. There are more merch clans now, I'm in one, just to get the hang of it, but it's a bit unfair. Buy in bulk (willow seeds now) and when prices go up dump them. Maybe some of the cb gear was grabbed by merchclans, and are dumped now. Well, if in a month or two Jagex hasn't confirmed a thing, or said a thing about new armour, prices will go up again.
  10. Canifis is the fastest, one click from bank. But remember you pay more for tanning in Canifis. But with the speed of tanning, you can earn that money back I suppose.
  11. I went to the mahagony trees in the jungle, you pay 100 tradingsticks to enter. Most of the time, I had 1 or 2 special logs, on a iventory (27 slots, I used a tinderbox right away to burn). Sometimes it took two iventories to get one. So roughly every iventory you cut, you get a special log.
  12. It's true you can pot during the quest, although I thought it only works for the hunter requirement. I'm working to get the quest done to....but I don't think strength can be potted.
  13. Well my focus goes for like 30 minutes, and then it drops....dramaticly. So the desert isn't probably the best place to be, although it's faster. Hunter...yeah I want to get it out of the way. If I pot now, I end up with the same question: how te level now. So I might get some tips to level in the future too. Well, when I get home, I start working on it.
  14. Yes I know of the potting. But I want to level hunter anyway in the future, so getting 18K exp isn't that much of a problem. Well, with hunter I have a choice if I want the exp, or want the exp, and gain some money....or keep the grey chins for later use...hm...Gonna figure out that  I know mining is slow. One of the skills I don't really like. But when I can slayer the living rock creatures, I want the most benefit from it. Not only the drops, but what's left of them too. I know about humdify, and I have the quest so I can cast it, so that isn't really a problem.
  15. Well I set myself some new goals. I did alot of questing, mainly some low level quests. As I'm 73 slayer, and I can hit 75 soon, I started to hope getting tasks as living rocks. But tbh, I really want 73 mining, so I can mine the remains for minerals. For now, I'm 70 mining, and to get to 73 I need almost 200K. I wonder how much time that's gonna take? Roughly? And still go with powermining granite? Or other ways to train? Hunter...ah...hunter. Need 18K till 61, so I can start the Forgivness of a Chaos Dwarf quest. Wich a want to end, for the handcannon and the dream of getting a dragon pickaxe drop <3: Now, I know penguins are good exp, but I'm tired of Larry and his quests. Tired of questing basiclly. So should I go with grey chins till 61? Or red salamanders? Thnx in advance!
  16. Not sure as I lack the requirement to mine rune ore. But it shouldn't be much, because the spawns are slow. You need to worldhop, so you don't have to wait for the spawns. And with worldhopping, you get less ores a hour. Best way is to try for yourself. Take a stopwatch or something with time, and try for 5-10 minutes. If 10 minutes are passed, multiplie with 6, and you get your ores/hour. Keep in mind that it's possible a spot is taken, so if you worldhop, you can run into a rune miner, and you have to hop again OR wait and go for the competition.
  17. Wich leaves us to the final post: HAPPY HUNTING! And goodluck with your goal
  18. Agreed, slayer can be good money, and good exp. And the tasks are different everytime. But you pointed out something about bloodvelds, skeletal wyverns and black demons. If you are in such a cycle, try to get the task done, hope for a different task, if not, AZ is the way to go. I think you are familiar with the concept of piety praying and such? AZ drop a lot of noted planks and oak planks. And charms very often. So it's not bad money, it's probably a little less money then slayer, or even more.
  19. I've actually heard some good reviews on Penguin hunting, although I haven't tested it out myself yet, you might want to see what kind of xp results you get from it. Keep in mind that you need The hunt for red Rektober (or something) quest to catch the penguins. If not, red salamanders should be your bet. Penguins are good exp, heard a lot of good things about it. So if you have the quest, try for yourself!
  20. PVP works so different right now. First of all, there are PVP worlds, where you can roam some cities and can be killed. Not the best thing. As you will get killed only after a minute. Secondly, there is Bounty Hunter. You enter a volcano (I thought it's called Wilderness Volcano) and you are either a hunter, or the hunted. You get a person with a arrow above his head, wich is the person you have to kill. Nothing more, nothing less. When you kill your prey, you can keep his/her items. I don't do PVP much, so there are better people who can talk you in. Basicly the whole PVP is not the same as you left. About moneymaking: choose a working skill wich you enjoy. Fishing, Mining, Woodcutting etc. Although you have to level quiet some time to get to the point the money comes in more often. Fishing is lobsters and swordfish in F2P. There is only one spot I remember and that's on Karamja. No bank nearby. Mining still works good. Coal is still in high demand, and the Mining Guild is also available in F2P. Bank in Falador. Woodcutting is profit when you come to yews. Nearby Falador en Varrock are some good spots for yews.
  21. Forgot the other question though: I don't know for sure, but for the most quests you can't pot. I can imagine this new grandmaster quest isn't different in that. Just get the level you need, just in case!
  22. Yes, at the ice berg there is a ruined boat wich gives unlimmited suplies of driftwood, small nets, ropes and knives. You need the quest The Hunt for Red Raktuber to get to the iceberg though.
  23. Joe is right. Most people wil reccomend you to use knives at yaks or experiments because of the costs. I used knives till level 70, and I leveled good. If you really want to chin, use grey chins. It's half the cost, and you get 3/4 of the exp you get with red chins. So in price/exp perspective, use grey chins.
