  1. I'd love it if you got the EXP/hour rates :D good guide, could be great with rates (lol rhyme)
  2. Does non mage tele include tablets?
  3. You could just get like 100 bowstrings/logs and test to see how long those take to string and alc... doing that would give you a basis to make calculations on whether yews or magics are better... Find out how long it takes in minutes to make/alc those 100 bows and then times the amount of minutes by 120 (to find the total extra time it would take) Now, do 3,000,000 (the extra it would cost) divided by the number you just got above. Now, times THAT number by 60.... This resulting number would be the break-even point for average salary... If you make OVER this amount PER HOUR, then go with magics, if you make UNDER, then go with yews. Also, note, though, that with the other option you get more alcs... An alc is an alc no matter what, so that will be more magic experience. So, you could include that in the extra money costs (like add 5gp for every experience point of magic you are missing out on... or instead of 5gp, whatever you estimate it costs you to train magic per 1 exp)...
  4. I see. Thank you :D can close this
  5. Just wondering if you wield them or just keep them in your inventory and then just "Use" them when needed in a slayer task... ? I'm not that big of a slayer Thanks :)
  6. Wow, what a nice time-saver  Nice guide :)
  7. If JaGeX doesn't really care, then why do they make new updates constantly? To make their members happy? I think they care  ~Joe. Um... wtf are you talking about? I said Jagex doesn't care that maybe 1 out of the 10,000 people they banned/gave blackmarks for a specific rule were unjustly punished. You cannot argue that, sorry...
  8. Certain things you can't really argue... it's either you did it or you didn't. And if it's not that clear, Jagex doesn't really care... they have a low enough % of mistakes in that category to save themselves a lot of time sifting through faulty reports/appeals
  9. How much EA did you buy? How much EA do you want? :P
  10. Hmm, yea, the crumble undead seems really tedious/boring  It'd be one thing to have to use the spell to just start the fight (like just do the spell once and then it keeps repeating), but doing it every hit :o I think I'll try fire strike and if that is too slow, then I'll suck it up and go for crumble. I'll try the black knights first, since they are a lower level, and then later (around 60 or so?) I'll go do lessers... Congrats on your mod-in-training announcement, too :P and thanks EDIT: Hmm.. ice giants... I'll go explore there I guess and see if there are any safespots that are reasonably accessible They are actually weaker to fire spells? Veerrryyy interesting if true.. didn't know that :D
  11. Yea, I was thinking fire strike or crumble undead.... I'm wondering if the no autocast will get too tedius, though, but I will give it a shot. If it is, I'll probably use fire strike Know any good places to mage zombies, ghosts, and/or ankous? I know if the SoS there are level 60+++ ankous with some good safe spots (especially when they become non-agressive), but these might be too high of a level to mage at the moment. What level should be about right to effectively kill these higher level ankous? Thanks :D
  12. Ok, I said "dumb" as that is not, typically, too offensive, and as you can see the mods don't like offensiveness... I was basically just saying that your guide would probably be more credible if you didn't have the money with you, as many people COULD think this was not a wise move... If you wanted to prove that you did have a bit of money and that you weren't a poor noob writing about making money, then you could like post a picture of yourself at the end, wearing your best gear, waving "Hey Tip.it, hope you enjoy the guide!".. something less ostentatious
  13. 45 and 50 attack won't help very much, stay at 40 for now, until at least 70+ str with range and mage higher
  14. Well... to get a Darwin you sorta need to like.. hmmm well let's just say losing the things you need for a Darwin can't really happen in RS. I guess the closest would be death, but when a Darwin isn't death.. it's
  15. Take a look at this real quick list I made earlier: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=720499 I would say it depends on what you are going to be doing/fighting, but: Iron helmet Iron platebody or Khazard armour the best ranging armour chaps (if you cant wear any, get up range fast! 40 at least (green)) Obsidian cape Fury Amulet or Strength Amulet do some RFD quests and get the best gloves you can or wear the best vambs you can (ranging ones) Iron boots? or climbing boots/boots of lightness? for a shield, get either a defender (dont think they have DEF reqs) or get one of those mage books...
  16. The thing is... you plan to get ranging up later, right? WELL JUST DO RANGING NOW WITH THE LONG RANGE SETTING ON. omg... save SOooooooOOooooooOOOo much time....
  17. I need to know some F2P monsters that have really low magic defence, but a good amount of hitpoints. I don't want to hit low or any 0s, because that would mean not as much hitpoints experience... Also, if a monster has low hitpoints, it means on my last shot, I won't hit as high as I could have (if a monster has 3hp left, I would only get exp from those 3 damage, even if I would probably have hit a 7+ if it had more hp) Drops are not important at all. I don't bury bones and I, most likely, won't collect the drops, so it doesn't matter if the monster is a ghost and drops nothing... Need a monster (F2P) with high/medium hitpoints, low magic defence. Any ideas?
  18. hehe ya that was a good one, I had fished 7k sharks to buy a whip, cause they were 7 mil at the time...and had it about a hot week when i switched from whip to fire staff to alch a rune item and as I ran to pick it up, it disappeared, so Iswitched back to inventory screen and clicked whip to re-equip in place of the fire staff...*poof*......*blinks*.....omg....lol I had sound on, thats why I heard the "UGH". I would have kept whip, fury and barrow gloves, and lost blk mask, bunch of pots, dragon boots, rune defender, glory, berserker ring......ugh. #-o dum dum dum Yea, I'm saying keep sound on so you dont die :P Had you not had sound, you would have  and yikes @ what you would have lost About the whip, at least from the alc you only had to fish 6928 sharks, though, to get a new one  8-)
  19. I explained my view on "buying" the stones earlier... Do you not buy a new construction location but then use items to enhance it? (lmao, if you don't, my bad, I have level 1 construction, but that's what I've heard... ??)
  20. Moral of the story: KEEP SOUND ON What would you have lost?
  21. Well I think it depends on the items... if granite is one of the items needed for graves, I would then go mine it really fast and sell it... But, you see, with granite, I wouldn't hoard it right now at all because when it does get released, you can always go mine it really fast (get a few hundred per hour mining, no point to hoard) But other items, in limited supply, it might be better to grab them earlier as they will be the more expensive ones on game day because they will be harder to obtain and with a lower initial stock :P
  22. Yea, I realize that they said BUY, but I'm thinking maybe it will be like construction, where you buy a plot (this is what you do in real life to buy a cemetery spot) and then build/buy a head stone... And I wonder what if they'll have nice little mausoleums for the rich, thatd be cool :P
  23. Remember that the price of Masks has gone down a lot, too I think you definitely have enough, though...
  24. Nah, I'm thinking possibly a better stone, some kind of better reward... I don't think anything so drastic like another few item protects, but probably something worth getting if you can afford it without bankrupting yourself.. can't really think of anything reasonable at the moment, though? Maybe a bit longer time to retrieve items that aren't picked up? Dunno... Maybe burying bones at gravestones will have some benefit like altars? No idea, though, really, just random ideas I'm getting...

You can beat the Shilo Village quest by equipping a few rings of recoil, and tons of chocolate cakes and at the same time getting a friend to help. It will take a few tries, but can be done
