  1. That sounds interesting, but i don't think i would use that =; Well, I'd be cool and all to have a really fast weapon that's as strong/stronger than a whip, but I doubt it would be balanced :P (obviously everyone would use a faster/stronger version of a whip) So, I'm just trying to make it more reasonable :D 8-)
  2. Maybe a dagger that is faster - it is really weak (like similar to iron or so), but fast and never hits a 0... could be potentially useful to finish someone off in staking or PKing but would definitely not be the primary weapon with a max hit of like only 7 or so (and like 4 average) Sorta like what happens when you dont have a light source, except slower & more powerful
  3. MechScape's is pretty cool, seems too empty though, might be better condensced... but then again in space, there seems to be a like of space
  4. Yes, it should be! I have always wondered why it is black - perhaps Jagex is emo? 8-) that is the dumbest comment ever. i could not ever fully explain the amount of idiocy in that post or how i feel it should be punished, i could only state i hope your eaten by a train Awww did someone have a bowl of sadness for breakfast?
  5. Yes, it should be! I have always wondered why it is black - perhaps Jagex is emo? 8-)
  6. How did the twin thing work? Like you make a name: Bob-is-leet (- is a space) and then another account Bob-is--leet Make the one with 2 spaces total have like ranked defense, so people think you're a noob (if/when they look you up really fast) and then have the one with 3 spaces total have 1 def and be an ownage pure?
  7. When I train in F2P, I use Salmon or Lobsters... Now, though, with the GE, you should really look into Chocolate Cakes. They heal 15hp, but take 3 bites to eat (this is why they are really good for training) - and they are really cheap - way less than lobsters, but heal more. Swordfish are the best fish in f2p (14hp heal, one click, relatively expensive) Anchovy Pizzas are the best overall (18hp heal, two clicks, IDK price, sorry) Chocolate Cake is good (15hp heal, three clicks, cheap) Quick tip: If you are fighting the Al Kharid guards, you can buy Kebabs for 1gp each from a seller by the cooking range that is really close (nearby)... they heal a decent amount for 1gp - probably the most cost effective food there is :P
  8. When I was out to buy my maple logs for 99fm, I kept some pretty good records of my transactions (:P): Buying: Quantity: Price: (each) 390 --60 170-- 60 5,000-- 65 100 --60 2,340-- 60 47 --60 77-- 60 150-- 60 1-- 0 9,896-- 65 20,000-- 60 6,600 --65 4,500 --60 2,749-- 60 5,190-- 57.8 16,000-- 60 22,886-- 60 Total: 5,861,762 gp for the exactly 96,096 logs I needed. I got to the required level for maples (what, like 40?) at the general store from the mega cheap willows... This cost probably like 5k or less... EDIT: Actually, I forgot I kept records for levels 1-45: I had 5,612,830 in my inventory when I started and 5,605,456 when I ended, so it cost 7,374gp for level 1 (starting with maybe like 10xp from tut. island) to level 45 (I stopped right when it said "grats on level 45!") This also includes 1gp for a tinderbox, though :P
  9. Lumbridge seems like the best, with those log spawns - just light one and then cook away. If you like ranges, you may want to consider Al Kharid/keep using Edge range
  10. If you go to Runescape.com and then click the knowledge base (I think), there is a section on quest, and then there is a list of all of the skills. When you click on one of the skills, it will show you all of the quests where that skill is rewarded
  11. I had a similar problem, but money was an issue, so I made a new account that was a dedicated staker/pker and runecrafter. Then, on my skiller (main), I just raised skills where I could make money (mainly mining). I never planned to/have drop traded, I just like the idea of having two completely self sufficient and successful accounts - so that I can choose which one I want to use/use the other when I want a change, or worst case scenario one gets banned or hacked.... Oh, and some people may suggest to combine the accounts - but having a high mining level on a PKer/Staker is sorta useless because mining in the wild would be impossible (is easy on a level 3, no one can kill you) as players over 40 levels can own you.
  12. Do you like skillers, why or why not? Yes, of course (I am one and a lot of my friends are ones) Why do skillers take so much abuse? I'm guessing, perhaps, people are mad that a level 3 could have a total/skills 2-3x them and usually be richer/as rich as them? Have you ever run into a skiller, then a few hours later, thought about making one? No... Do you own a skiller? Yes (M6c Magnum is a "skiller" account) In the future, do you want to make a skiller? why or why not? I already have one :P
  13. Perhaps Jagex could allow items under the 5k limit or so be allowed to be sold at the general store for the pre-update price (and bought for the pre-update price, too). That would practically allow ALL of the unnoting methods to still exist (rune essence, food, etc - all under 5k) and it would allow people to still profit from the general store (buying uncuts and ore, etc). Seems reasonable to me, any problems with that idea that I'm missing? (If 5k is too much - 3k obviously isn't, so do 3k if you must! (duel arena))
  14. I would have posted that, had you not mentioned it. I think that is the best option.
  15. Talk about a skiller's dream :D I LOOOOVE cakes hahaha, it's like have 3x has much inventory space as you normally would (carry like trout or w/e heals 5)... who needs something that heals 12 (especially with 10hp) and once when you have something that heals 5... 3 times (and is waaay under half the price):D I used to pay 100ea for regular cakes... 80ea for CHOCOLATE? !!!!!! OMGWTFBBQ lemme get some :D
  16. Perhaps your attack level is too low and that is why you don't hit? What are your stats?
  17. Uhhhhhh :ohnoes: I always knew I wanted either a Yellow or White party hat... didn't ever really know which.. until now Yellow it is!
  18. Price of white anyone? :D
  19. I'm a level 3, so the only way I can get clues is from pickpocketing HAM members. I got a clue my first time ever and got one of those magic pages and sold 230k or so :D Got another clue and did it, got something else worth about 150k-200k ish :D However, I was really mad at the time because the only reason I wanted clues was for the firelighters.. and I didnt get any either time. Third clue, I got like a longbow...... but I got my firelighters :D So I've been pretty lucky, 3/3 good ones for me :P (most people would consider the 3rd bad though, I didnt :P :D)
  20. It's more of a question. We the PKers, and Stakers are waiting for more counter-arguments from the people who post that the updates which screw over us are good. Seems sort of like saying that.. if there was a magical coin spawn in the middle of nowhere that was like 5million GP (oh and it took skill to get it because there are some other people that know about it and want it, and there are some monsters or something). Then Jagex removed that coin spawn, would you honestly feel bad for the people that couldn't make a living anymore by getting this coin spawn? Now, thinking about it, staking has been too easy. You can get 99 range or magic in UNDER a week easily (provided you have the funds). After that week, you are pretty much guaranteed your investment plus a TON more in return. There is no other skill or method related that even comes CLOSE to that amount of money (especially from the corresponding amount of work AND time). The skills that are even comparable, mainly being Runecrafting, take both initial funds and a lot of time (or no funds and a ton of time). The returns on these other methods are no where near those of staking. Surely, though, I don't think a 3k gp limit is fair. That is not fair at all. Anyone who says that is fair has no idea what staking is and is an idiot. I could see, perhaps, a 300-500k limit, per hour, a fair limit. As that is the average return per hour for a comparable amount of time spent training. (you see, that way, you get to be equal with other skills and yet still be doing what you like) Most (practically ALL) skillers and non-stakers have agreed about the 3k limit. Here is one/a good rationale from the people who think the practical removal of staking was beneficial: According to Jagex, now RWT will be severely hampered. That means that bots and other macros should be (mostly) eliminated. That would lead to skilling to be easier and more profitable. It would be easier to fish, woodchop, and even kill dragons. Not only that, but the products from these skills would increase in value. So, you have more value from items that are easier to obtain. Now, obviously, people will like that. It works in the person's favor. It is good. Eliminating the staking doesn't affect these skills or people at all, why should they care? In fact, the prices of rares and combat items should decrease - that means it would be even easier to level and skill and reach goals! Note, too, that majority of the fan base is skill-related (as in not staker, pker). Edit and also note: I am a skiller on my M6c Magnum account and a staker/PKer on my other account :)
  21. When you sell something to the general store does it pay you what it used to pay you? Couldn't you buy something that has a really wrong/inflated price guide price and then sell it to the general store for that price?
  22. GENERALLY, I find that the most obnoxious people classify themselves as stakers. GENERALLY, I find that skillers are really nice. Since combat level and expense of items worn are the main judges of a person upon first look, skillers usually are less judgemental. Since the level 3 is the same among them, they find a bond just from that and are less likely to be rude. Especially since a skiller is typically not a person's main account, others will be less likely to be mean beacuse the skiller could be Zezima (lol, Zezima) for all they know. There aren't many expensive items for a skiller to wear (Rares is about it), that also isn't a factor. Skillers don't have to be mean or agressive to be successful, a PKer/staker does. The whole point behind MOST stakers is to be deceitful - they hide immense strength under a low level (pures). Also, the whole point is to kill another person (note, that's different than killing monsters), and to be as brutal as possible. I made my "skiller" so that I could get level 85 mining and not be threatened in the wild when mining runite (since there are not many level 50s that deep). To train a skiller, you click, click, click. To train a Pker/staker, you click, click, click. To use the skills you train, it takes strategy and "skill" (avoiding PKers, previously learning tricks like attacking monsters to avoid PKers, learning spawn rates and figuring out worlds to switch to and get the timing perfect to be able to bank and mine without messing up this timer. Note, things like runecraft is the same) To use PKer/staker skills it also takes strategy, like one would assume. Oh, and MOST skillers are also merchants, so, uh...
  23. I haven't really tested out the GE, but I was wondering a few things... Someone said/confirmed earlier in this thread that, in this situation: If personA is buying Item1 for (let's make up a number) 200gp each and PersonB is selling Item1 for 150gp each, PersonA would buy Item1 from PersonB for 150gp each... Wouldn't that mean that the seller is always losing? Wouldn't that lead to deflation? Since there is no haggling or compromise allowed, the prices will always lean towards the lower price (which would then be made the normal price and the process would repeat with a higher item)? Shouldn't there be a compromise as with regular trading? ... Or perhaps an option to check to see if someone is buying something... No person would go to the RSOF, see someone buying Item1 for 200gp and then sell it to that person for 150gp.. If you put your item in after the person put in a buying request, you should get the benefit and get extra money (get 200ea) However, if you put in your item first (for 150ea), and then someone else comes in to buy, he should get the 150ea price (like if someone who was willing to pay 200ea saw someone selling what he needed for 150ea, why would he still pay 200??). Another thing to note, this is possible: Day 2 (second update): Huge deflation - computer-aided and excessive supply At the moment, there are TONS of people trying to sell (just read this thread, people glorifying the ease to buy, disliking the time/ability to sell). This is from people clearing out there banks, legitimately trying to sell stuff (stuff they would be trying to sell now anyways, without the GE), etc. Now, assuming the pricing system is completely computer based, imagine what the prices will be tomorrow. Jagex has said that, if items do not sell, they will decrease in value so that they can. If, at the moment, the pricing guide is too high for a certain price, this could lead to HUGE problems. Many people will see this price guide and think "OMG I could really get that much money?" and put the item into the GE. Other people will be legitimatley trying to sell this item, and will also put the item into the GE (these people probably wouldn't mind a lower price, just want to sell the stupid thing). Since the prices are too high, no one will be buying it. Tonight or tomorrow, when the computer is figuring out tomorrow's price range, it would think (well, I doubt it will think :P), "Wow, there are 50,000 of this item in the store and there are only 500 buyers." Now, let's HOPE the computer won't calculate this on a % scale (let me explain this idea real fast) ItemA had 30,000 people sell it for X price. There were 25,000 people buying it for X price. 25/30 = 83.3%. If we lower the price a bit, the number of people buying will rise (cheaper price), but the number of people selling will not decrease too much (still reasonable). The prices will balance and it will be an even market. If they did this for the earlier mentioned item (up a bit), to even out 50,000 people selling and 500 buying, there would be a DRASTIC price change... making the item tomorrow hugely cheaper than today. Let's hope this doesn't happen, and also hope there is a governor on the amount of change. Another way to solve this, would be to have it slowly deflate over some days (so if it needed to go down 10%, it could do 2% per day or so). In the very beginning I also explained this user created deflation, by having the buyer always win. This should promote deflation, I think, so that would contribute to the overall downness :P ANOTHER note: There are some pretty obscure, but rare items out there. I am not talking about discontinued items, but ones that have very specific uses and are perhaps difficult to find (there was a thread in Help & Advice yesterday about a 250k really obscure item). The prices of these items should NOT depend on # sold and # bought. These items are designed so that they are for sale for a while until someone needs it. The price is higher because of the A) rarity and B) specificness. There will be a few of these items in the GE, with not as many buyers, but the price shouldn't deflate to little because of this, they are worth more because of their difficulty to obtain. There's some of my thoughts :P
  24. You sent it as apology? Well... that stinks... How can someone really deny an apology, though? It's like "Hey, I'm sorry." "Denied. You never said that." "Uh... okay.."
  25. M6c_Magnum replied to a post in a topic in Help and Advice
No offense... but... you're honestly 17.. and couldn't figure that out? You lack some vital rudimentary math skills I was thinking maybe you are foreign.. but numbers are pretty ubiquitous.. ??
