which calculator should I use?

if they reset everybody, who paid their $5 a month expecting their work to be permanent, they would be irate and i guarantee you at least a few people would try to sue... the only way players will ever accept a total reset is if they come into the game expecting one

there's no point flaming us on a new account opposed to your main (if you have one)... admins will know who you are. anyway... you going to say i took the time to fake this screeny too?

Just out of curiosity... if you were willing to sell the items in your bank, approximately what would it all add up to? e.g. what's the value of your bank, including items you probably wouldn't sell (such as your phats)

I was just discussing this macro problem with Duke Freedom, I/he/we i dunno had somewhat of an idea. Take this image for example This is used by a game to stop scripters from creating mass accounts. Perhaps jagex could make a system like this. Every time you want Aubury (or whoever else) to teleport you to the essense mines, you must help him solve the riddle as to what # is there. Of course this wouldn't really matter with the other macroers, but perhaps any time you want to bank, you'd have to enter this number, until you reach a certain skill total. Honestly, I really like the use of something like this, if it'd be effective. A legitimate player would only have to deal with it for a short time, and it would take a matter of 2-3 seconds each bank to type in. Nothing nearly as annoying as putting in your bank pin every time you bank. Of course, there was the problem with fatigue, where players would just have the bots send a pic to a person to type it in. This could be hindered by giving you a 5-10 second time limit. A legitimate person would have no trouble doing this whatsoever, but a person running several macroes at a time would have a rough time keeping track, and may as well be playing themselves. Just throwing that out there... comment on what uses you may see.

wouldn't superheat gold... port phasmatys with gold gaunts ftw. Also, you might mention that you should NEVER sell your ores if you plan to EVER raise smithing. Even if you mined everything yourself, you would get 99 mining far before you get 99 smithing. Just look at addy and rune, 6/8 coal per bar. Eventually, unless you mine past 99, you will HAVE to buy ores/bars at SOME point in order to get 99. Although, therein lies the dilemma. If you push the philosophy that you should never sell ores because you'll have to buy some eventually, when buying them, you're pushing others from that philosophy... oh my head.

For those complaining Zezima's interview wasn't as "instructive" as N0valyfe's, yes I can understand you wishing he'd given more of an advising answer, but did you ever stop to consider that maybe he didn't PLAN his skilling in any particular manner? I know I do this all the time. I find a skill that I want to raise to such and such level, and I get it. I don't do it in any particular order, or put much thought into it, I just raise it. Haven't touched zombies or giants? You might try switching around after every few hundred. I know with the ones I got, I had killed hudreds of jogres and goblins, but then went to giants and got one in 10 kills or less, then similar experience with hobgoblins. It's not fullproof or confirmed by jagex, but it seems that a lot of players have had this phenomena that suggests you're more likely to get a scroll from a particular champion than from the others, at a given time. You're telling me you've never been PKed? Who gives a hoot?

LOL still the "he's lying" stuff going on... I don't see why you guys think he's lying? It IS possible to play this game, successfully and efficiently, AND to "have a life". Zezima doesn't waste time standing around in bank to sell stuff. He doesn't waste time PKing. He doesn't waste time merchanting. If all you do is work on skill total, you can get it up much easier than if you do other things as well. Granted, we all know he plays a lot, but that doesn't mean he doesn't do other things too. A person can read notes or a book while they do things like fish. Most skills, especially now, require very little immediate attention, but just enough to keep from logging out unwantedly. I'm sure he plays more than he'd like to say, but that doesn't mean he's blowing off everything else to do it. A person CAN "have a life" (as you flamers call it) while playing a lot. I'm not N0valyfe, but i haven't even played for 2 years and have gotten 1825 skill total, not even touching most of the "easy" skills compared to the "hard" ones. I am a full time student, a tutor and grader during school, work full time during breaks from school, and keep in touch and go out with the ladies frequently... Perhaps once you get out of K-12 level schooling, you'll realize just how much time there is in a day, especially for a college student.

based on some of the comments here, I have a few things to say: 1: I don't think Zezima uses SwiftIRC. I have seen him on the GameSurge network several times, and I know he frequents others. IRC is a common low-resource chat tool for us computer nerds. 2: According to The Editor, a lot of the "lol" was edited out even... so yes, he does say, "lol" that much... lol -- eek, so do I! 3: I noticed some flames about N0valyfe playing as long as he does here... What makes you think Zezima plays any less? To me, it seemed like he was avoiding the question with a numerical answer. Honestly, I can understand that completely. People jump quick to flame players who spend a lot of time in the game, because they are too immature to realize that these players are just spending their free time doing what they enjoy. I, a full time college student, generally only have either 1 hour a day (MWF) or 4 hours a day (T/TH) where I am obligated to be somwhere doing something. Occasionally I'll have meetings and whatever, and need to spend a couple hours working on things, but I too, at times, find myself playing several hours a day. And why not? There's nothing I'm keeping myself from by playing the game, opposed to popular belief... 4: I liked that question about how he felt after Farming came out. It would be nice to know. Judging by the attitude he wishes to portray, though, I think he would just say that it just gave him a new challenge to tackle, and wouldn't say he was frustrated by it.

some questions are best left unasked. An answer for the one you state would put far too much unwanted attention on Jagex staff.. whether it be yes or no.

This is FAR from a slap in the face to N0valyfe... They are both great players and well known, and both of them seem to think just as much of the others' accomplishment as they do of their own. N0valyfe even expressed curiosity about a Zezima interview lol

dharock's just seems like a waste to me. Most rounds I participated in were over within 2-5 minutes. By the time you get your HP low, the round's generally already over.
